Tropical Scenes Cards with Tammy and Ana

Hi friends! Tammy here! Today I'm sharing this fun, Safari themed card, featuring Savanna Safari and Tropical Scenes. I just love the diversity of the Tropical Scenes stamp. I find myself using it on most of my cards lately!!

To begin, I cut an A2 rectangle from the Summer Splash Paper. I then cut out the center to create a window using the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies. I cut another rectangle from Bristol smooth cardstock, and lightly ink blended it with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I splattered some Peacock Feathers, thinned with water, onto my inked background for interest. I adhered the green patterned paper to the background with foam tape for dimension, and then attached that to a white A2 card base.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:

Savanna Safari/ Coordinating Dies

Tropical Scenes/ Coordinating Dies

Fabulous Flamingos/ Coordinating Dies

I arranged the safari cuties onto my card, attaching with foam tape for dimension. I tucked the leaves and foliage behind the critters and attached the jungle vines across the top. To complete my card, I white heat embossed a sentiment from Savanna Safari onto a black cardstock strip and attached to my card front, tucking it behind the giraffe.

Hello crafty friends! It’s Ana today sharing a super cute summer card featuring Tropical Scenes stamps and dies, Beach Babies stamps and dies, Best Fishes stamps and Summer Splash paper pack.

I started by stamping all the images with Copic friendly ink, coloring them with Copic markers and cutting them with coordinating dies. For the background I used a piece of waves patterned paper from a Summer Splash paper pack.

I arranged the images to the background to figure out the placement for the sentiment. I white heat embossed the sentiment (from Beach Babies set) to the patterned paper background, then started adhering the images.

I adhered the ocean bottom border, sandy island and the palm trees (all from Tropical Scenes set) to the background panel first, then added little girls, beach toys and the fishes to the bottom. I finished the card by adding highlights with white gel pen.

Herringbone Frame Dies Focused Cards with Angelica and Juliana

Hi friends! This is Angelica, and I have a new card to share, showcasing the Frilly Frames Herringbone Background Die. I went out for ice cream yesterday with my dad and daughter, and thought I would incorporate that fun date into this card.

I made a three-scoop ice cream cone, using Two Scoops stamp set, and Altenew inks. I die-cut white card stock with the Herringbone die. For the stitched edge, I used the large rectangle from Frilly Frames Retro Petals. 

I blended Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth paper, trimmed the panel, and glued the Herringbone background to it. I attached the ice cream cone on top, and finished with a Hello.

Hello Sunny Studio friends! It's Juliana and today I'm sharing a card featuring the Herringbone Frilly Frame Die Set. I don't know about you, but I absolutely love ALL the Frilly Frames! They are perfect for adding interest and texture to just about any card design.

For this card, I began by stamping and die cutting images from the Potted Rose and Everything's Rosy Stamp Sets. I used Scrapbook.com's Premium Hybrid Inks which are just perfect for using with layered stamps like these. Once the stamping was complete, I die cut all of the images using the coordinating die sets.

Next, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Herringbone Frilly Frame Die Set. For the sentiment, I stamped “best wishes” from the Pink Peonies Stamp Set with Black Soot Archival Ink onto a piece of vellum. Once the ink was dry, I die cut it using one of the Stitched Oval Dies. I then assembled the stamped images and sentiment on top of the frame and layered the entire piece onto a piece custom ink blended paper. For the final touch, I added some white pearls using a bit of Distress Collage Medium to adhere them.

Potted Rose Cards with Ashley and Juliana

Hi friends! It's Ashley today with a soft floral card that can be customized to fit any occasion! I combined the leaves and pot from Potted Rose with the flowers from Pink Peonies to create a new look!

I started by blending inks from the Pinkfresh Studio Island Oasis set on white cardstock. I used the Frilly Frames Stripes die on another piece of cardstock and placed the die cut on top of my ink blended piece for my background. 

I stamped the flowers from Pink Peonies in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics before cutting them out with the matching dies. I stamped the pot from Potted Rose in the same shades from Pinkfresh Studio Island Oasis to match the background and used the Pinkfresh Studio Garden Stroll set for the leaves. I used the Potted Rose dies to cut everything out and arranged everything on my card, popping a few of the peony blossoms up with foam tape.

I created a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black on a strip of white cardstock. I blended a bit of the lightest color from Pinkfresh Studio Island Oasis - Ocean Breeze - on the edges then added it to the card with foam tape. I finished with a scattering of sea glass confetti to add some shine.

Hello Sunny Studio friends! It's Juliana and I'm excited to share a card I created using the gorgeous Potted Rose Stamp Set.

I began by stamping the images from the Potted Rose and Everything's Rosy Stamp Sets. I used Scrapbook.com's Premium Hybrid Inks which are just perfect for using with layered stamp like these. Once the stamping was complete, I die cut all of the images using the coordinating die sets.

For the background, I die cut the Frilly Frames Retro Petal Die from white cardstock and layered it onto a panel of light blue cardstock. To get the exact color I wanted I ink blended a piece of Bristol Smooth paper using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. If you happen to have the perfect color of cardstock on hand you can speed things up and use that instead! I finished off the card with a simple “hello” from the Radiant Plumeria Stamp Set.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Summer Sweets Cards with Nicky Meeks

Hello everybody, Nicky Meeks here! I'm guest designing for Sunny Studios today with these cards made using Summer Sweets from the most recent release.

The card was created by ink blending a panel of cardstock with Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio inks and then giving a simple faux stitched die cut edge and applying it to a card base.

The 'sweets' images were all stamped on Copic friendly cardstock and Copic coloured then die cut with the coordinating dies. I then had a bit of fun adding frozen ice crystals with some Distress Glitter and used some chocolate colour Nuvo drops to make chocolate drizzle. Once dry I chose an arrangement and then backed each image with a single or double layer of foam tape and applied them.

I added some dots with a gel pen to create a little interest around the focal point and also added some clear pink crystal embellishments.

Finally I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in gold to a strip of cardstock and applied it with foam tape also. With that the first card was complete.

For my second card I applied a pink panel of cardstock to a card base and set it to one side. I created a slightly smaller panel from white cardstock. I took the ice-cream cone image die from the coordinating die set and die cut it 4 times from cardstock and applied them in lines to the white panel.

I stamped and heat embossed (in gold) the same image and die cut then coloured with Copic markers. I added ice crystals again with the Distress Glitter and when dry they were backed with foam tape and applied layered over the middle row of white die cuts.

A strip of pink cardstock was stamped and heat embossed with the sentiment, backed with foam tape and applied.

Finally the white panel was backed with white craft foam and applied popped up on the pink background panel for a super dimensional congratulations card in the CAS style.

Designers Choice Cards with Rachel and Candice

Hello crafty friends! Rachel here with a slimline card featuring the Savanna Safari Stamp Set. 

To start my card, I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set them aside to work on my background.

Copic Colors Used: Elephant: C00, C0, C2, C4 Lion Light Fur: E50, E53, E55 Lion Dark Fur: E55, E57, E59 Giraffe: E40, E41, E43, E44, E33, E37, E29 Hippo: V000, V01, V12, V15, V09 Zebra: W00, W0, W2, W4, W6, W8

For my background, I blended some Distress Oxide Inks (Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, and Worn Lipstick) onto a 3.5" x 8.5" piece of smooth white card stock. I then lightly splattered this blended piece with water and blotted it dry with a paper towel. I used my MISTI and black ink to stamp some tree and leaf silhouettes. 

Next, I die cut some grass from black cardstock using the Sunny Sentiments Die by running it through my machine twice to create a longer length. I then heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and adhered my images with 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

Hi! Candice with you today wishing you a fabulous Friday! Today I am sharing a fun card using the adorable sloths as they hang out in their trees!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my scene:

• Silly Sloths stamps & coordinating dies
• Tropical Scenes & coordinating dies

I began with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base that fits perfectly into your standard size envelopes.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth a little smaller than my card base and inked with abandoned coral, dried marigold & squeezed lemonade oxide inks.

Next, I stamped the sloths, leaves, flowers and vines, colored them with Zig clean brush markers, and used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out. I adhered them with glue or foam tape to add a bit of dimension. I then heat embossed the sentiments on strips of black cardstock in matching colors and adhered to the side with foam tape. To finish, I added a few black Nuvo drops to draw your eye down the card.
