Missing Ewe Starry Night Background Card with Amy

Hello there! Amy here today with a card that features the new and adorable Missing Ewe set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Missing Ewe Starry Night Background Card by Amy Yang

To begin, I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers. Next, I cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added accents with white Gelly Roll pen.

I used a window frame to die-cut an opening in my front panel. Then, I used the "Miss" and "Ewe" word dies that are included in the Missing Ewe die set in order to cut out the front panel and removed the negative cuts. I used the word dies again to die-cut black cardstock. After adhering the front panel to a folded card base, I glued in the die-cut black sentiment as shown.

Next, I used the negative die-cut window and inked the background with Distress Inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean. I also splattered some water, added white dots with a Gelly Roll pen, and glued on die-cut stars that I made using the star dies from Happy Owl-O-Ween dies. I added Wink Of Stella to the stars for shine. After, I adhered the negative window back into the open area in the card front.

For the scalloped ground, I cut another negative window with Stitched Scallop dies, and inked it with Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. I also added texture to it by splattering it with water. Lastly, I adhered the scallop ground to the card front and mounted the sheep with foam tape.

Pet Sympathy Angel Puppy Shaker Card with Nancy

Hey there everyone, Nancy here today with a shaker full of love highlighting the Pet Sympathy stamp and coordinating die set. I love that this set features both cats and dogs - the angel wings don't hurt either. These are perfect for sending a heartfelt sentiment for the loss of beloved pet.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pet Sympathy Angel Puppy Shaker Card by Nancy Damiano

I started this card by stamping the stitched heart randomly on the base of the card. A few of the hearts were painted with watercolors for a soft look and a punch of color. The smaller stitched rectangle was die cut with a heart directly in the center to create a window for the shaker. Next, I used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass and Broken China to create the ink blended background. The sentiment was stamped in black and the back was popped up with foam tape and filled with clear crystals and blue sequins.

The sweet dog was colored with Distress Inks for a soft, watercolored effect. A pair of angel wings was affixed to the back and he was placed on a bed of vellum clouds.

Quilted Hexagons Rainbow Birthday Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a rainbow card for you all using the new Quilted Hexagons stamp and coordinating dies. This set for me screams rainbow and fun colour combo designs. This set is perfect for simple or elaborate backgrounds and is going to be a new favourite for me!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Quilted Hexagons Rainbow Birthday Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card I stamped the long line of hexagons along a piece of white cardstock. I used black ink and also clear embossed over them to make sure they didn't smudge at all. Once everything was stamped, I moved onto die cutting the hexagons to fit inside.

Before cutting them all out, I cut two pieces of watercolour paper into strips and ink blended all of them with a different colour of Distress Ink using rainbow colours. So one pink, one red, one orange etc. Once they were all inked I splattered them with water and dried them. I then used the largest hexagon die that comes with the coordinating dies and die cut 6 out of each colour. Once they were all die cut I added foam tape behind all of them.

I adhered all my hexagons in colour order into each of the stamped hexagons. So a line of pink, a line of red etc. Some of them I had to cut in half to make them fit on both ends, but six on m size of panel worked fine. Once they were all adhered I adhered my panel to a black card base.

For my sentiment, I used the Wishes Word Die and die cut it out of black cardstock. I added foam tape behind and adhered it to the right side of my card. I also then pulled the Oceans of Joy stamp set out and stamped the 'birthday' word from the stamp set onto black cardstock and white heat embossed it. I trimmed it out on my trimmer and adhered it to my card also and that finished up my card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I love making rainbow cards - they're always so fun and easy to pull together! Hope you were inspired and I'll catch you all next time!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Fall Cards with Jennifer McGuire

We're so excited to welcome Jennifer McGuire to the blog today as our special guest. She has some gorgeous cards that you are going to just love!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pretty Pumpkins and Autumn Greetings Fall Cards with Masking Video Tutorial by Jennifer McGuire

For today's card she's sharing techniques using masking to create clean, crisp images with colorful backgrounds and a bit of texture using our Pretty Pumpkins & Autumn Greetings sets.

You can view Jennifer's video below (or in HD at our YouTube channel HERE).

To start, Jennifer stamped her layered images in the center of her card.  Next, she used an embossing pad along with two circle dies to make an impression around her focal point image.

She then used the coordinating die with masking material to mask off her pumpkin and the the outside of the circle, leaving the negative space to ink with twisted citron and pealed paint distress oxide inks.  When she was done she added some sparkle to the stem and pumpkin shadows using Wink of Stella's clear glitter pen.  Little touches like that go such a long way to really make your images pop.

For her pumpkins today Jennifer stamped them using the following ink combinations:
Up next, we have a similar card, this time adding a little broken china ink to the top portion of the circle.

For all her envelopes, she paired a matching green envelope with a simple stamped sentiment using our Autumn Greetings stamps.

For Jennifer's third Pumpkin themed card, she took her masking up a step and layered three pumpkin images starting with stamping the smallest pumpkin in the front and then using masks with the coordinating dies to work her way to the biggest pumpkin in the back.

For her background she cut a frame using Hero Art's Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies and inked the center with antique linen distress oxide ink.

Here's another look at all three cards using this fun technique...

As a little bonus, Jennifer used the same double masking technique for a sweet card with our Pet Sympathy set.

She started by stamping and coloring the dog, then covered it with a mask cut using the coordinating die and then used a second mask of post it tape to ink up the ground and wall behind the pup using peeled paint and broken china distress oxide inks.

When she was done, she added nuvo drops to the nose and eyes and glossy accents to the heart for a bit of shine.

Barnyard Buddies Farm Animal Themed Birthday Card with Lexa

Hi there! Lexa here today with a card that featuring the ultimate cuteness from Barnyard Buddies stamp and it's coordinating dies. When you can't choose which one is your favorite from the herd, use them all!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Barnyard Buddies Farm Animal Themed Birthday Card by Lexa Levana

First, I stamp all the images with Versafine black ink and then watercolor them using Distress Markers. They look more adorable after they are colored. Don't you think so? I die cut all of them with the coordinating dies and they are ready to jump into the scene. I blend Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather Distress Inks for the sky. The whole herd is here, but someone is missing...oh I found the fluffy sheep from Missing Ewe. And they are a full team at last.

I complete my scene using couple of trees from Happy Home, I think they are a perfect size so they look like planted behind the hills and the barn house. To match the barn, I white embossed my sentiment on a strip of red cardstock. I also do a custom sentiment by combining "birthday wishes" from Heartfelt Wishes stamp set and "from the whole herd" from Barnyard Buddies. I adhere all the animals with different height of foam tapes to create dimensions.

I adhere a pair of googly eyes for the horse and the cow, they look so cute! Which one is your favorite animal from the whole herd?

Thank you so much for visiting today, I really hope you like my card as much as I do. Have a incredibly wonderful Friday!
