Hello, and welcome to day 4 of our Summer Sneak Peek Week! All this week, I am sharing cards showcasing our newest collection, which will be available for purchase tomorrow!
Card No. 1: Today, I'm thrilled to be sharing card ideas using our darling new Monkey Business Stamps and Jungle Vines Dies! For my first card, I started by die-cutting a frame with the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die, then layered two split philodendron leaves along the top and bottom edges from the Jungle Leaves die set. These dies mix and match nicely with our previously released Summer Greenery Dies and don't duplicate the leaves in that set. I completed my card by adding a piece of aqua cardstock to the background for my sky, adding a number of monkeys to hang, sit, and stand within the frame, and stamping a punny greeting from the set. I can't help but smile back at these cute monkeys!
Card No. 2: For my next card, I started by inking up a cardstock panel with a light touch of Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and then layered in the tree branches, vines, and tropical leaves from the Jungle Vines Dies. I love how the vine was designed to wrap around the tree branch so realistically, and how easy it is to recreate a tropical vacation vibe. I added the stitched label frame from the Icing Rectangle Dies to stamp my punny greeting from the set. I then layered in the monkeys from the Monkey Business Stamps. There is one little monkey that comes with the set in two pieces, allowing you to position him around a tree branch or the large banana that comes with the stamp set. I was having so much fun with that, and I think there are so many fun ways he could be used.
Card No. 3: For my third card, I cut five of the same leafy vine borders from light green cardstock using the Jungle Vines Dies, then inked one side with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink. I then created a fun background by adding adhesive to the back of each with my favorite Zig Glue Pen and applying them to a green cardstock panel one by one. These vines felt like the perfect surface to tuck three of the hanging monkeys from using the Monkey Business Stamps. I completed my card with a large black-and-white greeting using the word "thanks" from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps and the words "for going above & beyond" from the Words of Gratitude Stamps.
Card No. 4: Up next is a fun and playful card using the large banana image with four of the monkeys from the Monkey Business Stamps. I positioned the groupings in a 2x2 grid and framed them using our Scalloped Square 2 Small Dies and the yellow gingham paper from our Gingham Jewel Tones Paper pack. Lastly, I heated-embossed a punny greeting from the set onto a pennant cut from a green print in the Classic Sunburst Paper pack using our Slimline Pennant Dies. I love the yellow, green, and brown color scheme!
Card No. 5: My next card put my monkeys from the Monkey Business Stamps on a deserted island using the palm tree and island from the Tropical Scenes Stamps and the larger palm tree from the Sending Sunshine Stamps. I inked up a sun behind them with Mustard Seed Distress ink, then inked around it in a circular motion with a light amount of Broken China Distress ink. Lastly, I masked off the bottom portion with Spellbinders Masking Sheets to ink my ocean water using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I heat embossed my punny greeting form the set and added some red hearts using one of the dies from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies.
Card No. 6: For my last card of the day using the new Monkey Business Stamps, I once again turned to elements from the Tropical Scenes Stamps, this time using the jungle vines and branch border from the set. I added a large birthday sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps, stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink, and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to make it extra bold and glossy. I then just tucked the adorable little monkeys and a bunch of bananas into my scene.
Here's a closer look at our new Monkey Business Stamps, Monkey Business Dies, and Jungle Vines Dies used today, which will be available for purchase on Friday, April 24th.
