Watering Can & Lovely Lilacs Spring Bouquet Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some floral cards for Spring using our gorgeous Captivating Camellias Stamps and Dies. These have always been a favorite set of mine, so I had so much fun revisiting them for these two clean and simple cards.

For my first card featuring the Watering Can Stamps, I paired them with the Spring Bouquet Stamps for a blooming floral arrangement, adding them both inside and around the watering can to fill in the backdrop of my card. Before adhering any of them to my card front, however, I inked the center of my panel with a light hand of Seedless Preserves Distress Ink to give my scene a bit of a hazy glow.

I grounded the scene with a 1" green strip of cardstock stamped with a tone-on-tone diagonal grid print using our Background Basics 2 Stamps. Lastly, I added the sentiment "I've been thinking of you often," using a mix-and-match greeting that comes with the Watering Can Stamps.

For my second card today, I started with many of the same elements using the Watering Can Stamps and the Background Basics 2 Stamps for my subtle tone-on-tone backdrop, but this time I had previously cut a window using our Rounded Rectangle Window Dies from an A2 panel so I had this leftover piece (from THIS card no.4) that I didn't want to go to waste. This card felt meant to be with the beautiful way it complimented the lilacs I had also previously stamped using our Lovely Lilacs Stamps

I added the "thanks for your kindness" sentiment using our Autumn Greetings Stamps and VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I then embellished my cards with two lilac butterflies from the Watering Can Stamps and a few scattered PinkFresh Studio Lilac Clear Drops.

That wraps up my projects for this morning. I hope I've inspired you in your own cardmaking and that you spread a little happiness by sending out a card to a loved one today.💗
