Sneak Peek: Introducing Foxy Friends Clear Stamps & Dies

Hello and welcome to day 3 of our Spring Sneak Peek Week!  This week I am sharing cards showcasing our newest collection which will be available for purchase this Friday!

Card No. 1: Today, I'm sharing cards using our adorable new Foxy Friends Stamps, and I truly had so much fun with them! The set has cute accessories like a wagon, watering can, umbrella, and four darling little chicks to compliment the 7 different foxes. For my first card, I started by cutting two stacked windows using our new Rounded Rectangle Window Dies. I then backed the openings with a polka-dot sky I had created using the new Background Basics 2 Stamps and some grass using the Mini Grass Border Dies. The two windows gave me the perfect space to create two small scenes. I added some clouds from our Majestic Meadow Stamps and finished my card with a punny sentiment from the Foxy Friends set stamped onto our Brilliant Banner 1 Dies.

Card No. 2: Next up is a Valentine's Day card featuring the Foxy Friends Stamps. I started by creating a red gingham background using our Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Dies and Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils. I then inked up the background with a light amount of distress ink to create a tone-on-tone look. I created a cutout to frame my little fox scene using our new Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies. I then arranged a spring scene using the flowerpot and watering can from the Foxy Friends set with the clouds from the Tulip Path Background Stamps. For my greeting, I was able to piece together the word "foxtastic" from the new set with the words "Have a" and "Valentine's Day" from our Bighearted Bears Stamps.

I should note that all of the images and grass on this card were colored using the artPOP! Infinity Brush Markers that I received to try out from Dick Blick. While the 24-piece set I tested felt a bit limited in terms of color options, I really liked the brush tip on these markers! To get the most color range out of the smaller set I used some tip-to-tip ink blending techniques, together with a colorless blender. I think their larger 36-piece set is worth a try if you're on a budget because the price per alcohol marker is pretty impressive, and the larger set fills in some crucial gaps in the color wheel. I use Copics for much of my coloring and found their nibs quite comparable in terms of quality, flexibility, and blending.

Card No. 3: Next up is a card using the fox and chicks from the Foxy Friends Stamps with the kite from the Spring Showers Stamps and the scenic backdrop from our new Tulip Path Background
This incredible background did all the heavy lifting in terms of my card design, so all I needed to add was a couple of clouds from the set and a nice oversized spring greeting from our Cheerful Daisies Stamps, which I heat-embossed using Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder.

Card No. 4: It wouldn't be spring without  a little rain so for my next card, I colored up a polka-dot umbrella, the chicks, and fox from the new Foxy Friends Stamps. I then stamped the raindrops in my background using our Rain Showers Stamps with a light ink color and then used a Jumbo Dauber to ink that same ink lightly over the top. To frame my scene, I stamped a panel using our Background Basics 2 Stamps (to compliment my umbrella) and die-cut a frame from the center using our Rounded Rectangle Window Dies. Lastly, I added some clouds from our new Majestic Meadow Stamps and stamped a cute oversized greeting using our Sunny Sentiments Stamps.

Card No. 5: I started my next card by stamping the Majestic Meadow Background using Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink. I stamped an extra set of tulips in each corner so I could use the coordinating Majestic Meadow Dies to layer over the top of the other images in my scene. For my "party" banner, I used the string on a curve from our Bold Balloons Stamps and then stamped my Balloon Alphabet letters in alternating shades using VersaFine Clair Baby Pink Ink and Gina K. Light Lilac Ink. When I was done, I felt the word party wasn't centered on my card so I inked up a piece of scratch cardstock using the same baby pink ink and die-cut an exclamation mark using our Chloe Alphabet Dies.

For my focal point, I colored the images from our Foxy Friends Stamps using the party hats, wagon, and gifts from the set in colors to match my balloon banner. I kept my background monochromatic and left it uncolored so it wouldn't visually compete with my focal point, which also sped up my cardmaking process. Lastly, I completed my card by inking up a small strip of cardstock with light lilac ink and die-cut a pennant using the extra die from our Notebook Photo Corners Dies. I then heat-embossed the phrase "Happy fashionably late birthday!" using our new Inside Greetings Belated Birthday Stamps.

Card No. 6: For my last card of the day, I created a mini slimline that measures 7" wide x 3.75" tall using the Foxy Friends Stamps. I then die-cut three stitched mats from white cardstock to frame my scenes using our new Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies, which I inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I added grass along the bottom of each panel using our Mini Grass Border Dies and then randomly stamped small tufts of grass using the different images from our Tulip Path Background Stamps. I tucked a panel of our Scalloped Fence Dies beneath each section of grass and added some clouds to the sky using the three mini clouds from our Comic Strip Everyday Dies. I then began adding foxes to each little scene, doing different activities. For the first panel, I paired the butterfly net from our Spring Shower Stamps with the butterflies from the Tulip Path Background Stamps. I completed my card with an altered sentiment from the set, changing out the word "friend" for "sister" using the word from our Outback Critters Stamps. I stamped my greeting onto a grid print patterned paper from our Gingham Pastels Paper pack, which I then die-cut using one of the pennant strips from our Notebook Photo Corner Dies.
