Hello everyone! Leanne here! Today I'm sharing a birthday themed shaker card. The Rounded Rectangle Window dies make it super easy to create a frame with faux stitching which can be used for shaker cards.
I used the second
largest Rounded Rectangle Window die in the set to create a
frame for my shaker window. I constructed the shaker element in the traditional
way by adding a panel of clear acetate behind the window. Then I added some
skinny strips of foam tape behind all sides of the frame to create the shaker
well.
Onto a white A2 size
card base, I stamped the words "happy birthday" at an angle
towards the left side. I used pastel clay sprinkles as the shaker bits and
carefully placed them onto the center of the card. I then adhered the frame
with acetate overtop.
Next was the fun part of adding all the decorations to the outside of the shaker. I used cupcakes from the Scrumptious Cupcakes stamp set. I die cut some little flowers and leaves to embellish even further. These dies can be found in the Basic Mini Shapes 2 and Basic Mini Shapes 4 sets.
Here are the Pink Fresh Studio ink colors I used to stamp the cupcakes and candle: Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Mermaid Cove, Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Lemon Whip, Sunshine.
