Happy New Year everyone! This is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog and I'm sharing a card that was created using the Window Trio Hearts Portrait Die. No hearts here though! Instead, I used the die in a different way and created a sweet cupcake card. Read on for all the details.
I took an A2 white panel of cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Quilted Hearts Embossing Folder. I applied this panel to my card base which was larger. Over this embossed background I attached a pink frame popped up on foam tape. I used the Fancy Frames Rectangle Die to do this.
Using the same pink cardstock from the frame plus four other pastel shades from my cardstock scraps, I die-cut the cupcake images from Window Trio Hearts Portrait Die and assembled them with glue.
I backed each cupcake with foam tape and applied them to the background in a grid pattern but tipped them playfully left and right when positioning them.
Using the same cardstock colours I took the Chloe Alphabet Die and die-cut the SWEET sentiment. Each coloured letter was backed with two white letters and I glued them all in stacks for some nice dimension. I glued these into position and then went through my Sunny stamps and found the word 'you're' and stamped that on a little sentiment strip and applied using foam tape.
To finish the card I added a tiny sparkling clear sequin to the top of each cupcake and then the project was complete and ready to mail off to someone very sweet indeed!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and happy crafting!
