Hello friends! Waleska Galindo here with a set of cards with the amazing Sunny Studio Stamps. Thank you so much Mendi for having me as a Guest
Designer today! I called this post Mixing Stamp Sets because there are lots of
great cards you can make mixing the stamp sets you already have with new ones,
all you have to do is think outside the box ... having a Christmas stamp set
doesn't mean you can't use it for Halloween!! let me share with you how.
For my
first card I used the new Happy Owl-o-ween stamp set, I wanted to create a
night scene and I wanted to put the cute owls on a fence so I created the
fence with the trunk from Woodsy Creatures stamp set by stamping the trunk on
desert storm cardstock and glue all the trunks together to create the fence. For the night sky I used distress inks Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I stamp and color the owls with markers and glue them to be on the fence
waiting for the time to start trick or treating.
For my
second card I wanted to make a very spooky night scene. To make the
spooky tree branches I used the Holiday Style Christmas set, but when I stamped
the branches in black they totally change from Christmas to Halloween, I used
distress ink Seedless Preserves and Black Soot for the night sky and for the
moon I used Squeezed Lemonade. I color all my images with markers, to
finish the spooky scene I added three bats from the Halloween Cuties stamp set. In the end I think is
too hard for this cute stamps to be spooky...they are simply to cute!
For this
next card I used the new and adorable piggie from Barnyard Buddies and I mix it with Island Getaway. I used the island as a mud puddle
for the piggies to be playing, the splashes are from the island getaway stamp
set too. For the mud puddle I used Oxide ink Vintage Photo mixed with a
little water, for the grass distress ink Mowed Lawn and for the sky I used
Tumbled glass Distress Ink. The rest of the images are colored with markers.
For the last card I mix two of my favorite stamp sets from all
time the Magical Mermaid stamp set and the Pirate Pals stamp
set. I created this cute pirate girl by changing the face of the pirate
and adding the pirate hat to the mermaid face. I created the striped
background with distress ink Shaded Lilac and post-it label tape. I used
some of the stamps from the Pirate Pals stamp set to create the map and color
the images with markers! I have to say my daughter loved this pirate girl so
much!
Thanks
for stopping by and I wish you have many SUNNY days ahead!

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome way to think outside the box and use your stamps in ways you never thought to before! I absolutely LOVE the piggies playing in the mud card the best! That truly showcases just how versatile the sets are and I think you did an amazing job! Truly impressed with your work!
