Sunflower Fields Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm happy to be back with this bright and cheerful autumn card featuring a mix and match of images from different layering stamp sets. It's always so much fun and kind of magical to see those images come to life layer after layer.

To start, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of dark kraft cardstock and cut an opening out of it using the largest Stitched Semi Circle die. Next I took my Woodgrain embossing folder, applied brown ink inside the folder on one side, placed my kraft panel on the other side, closed the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a cool tone on tone brown woodgrain texture. I mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and used a slim brush to add brown splatters all over my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. While my Stitched Semi Circle woodgrain panel was drying, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a brown polka dot paper from the Critter Country paper pack, added white splatters all over it, and once that panel was dry, I stuck my woodgrain panel to it using 1mm foam squares.

Next I stamped all my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using dye inks from Lawn Fawn and from Altenew, and here is a detailed list of the layering stamp sets I used: • Sunflower Fields - sunflowers • Pretty Pumpkins - pumpkins, leaves, swirling ivy • Watering Can - watering can. And here are the different color combinations I used to create each image:

• sunflowers - butter + sunflower + carrot + fake tan + doe + walnut (LF)
• watering can - lobster + chili pepper (LF)
• aqua pumpkins - kiddie pool + merman + peacock (LF)
• green pumpkin - frayed leaf + forest glades + moss (Altenew)
• yellow pumpkin - butter + lemonade + sunflower (LF)
• orange pumpkin - carrot + fake tan + pumpkin spice (LF)
• leaves - forest glades + moss (Altenew)
• swirling ivy - moss (Altenew)

Once all the stamping was done, I cut the images using the matching dies, splattered white ink all over them, and once they were dry, I attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and liquid glue as well for the swirling ivy. I white heat embossed "Happy autumn" from Crisp Autumn on dark brown cardstock, cut it using the coordinating die, and stuck it to the card using foam squares again.

Elegant Leaves Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am sharing my first autumnal card of the season! As we are slowly transitioning into those cozy Fall vibes, I just love the rich vibrant colors nature brings us. As most crafters I am always in need of birthday cards, and I struggle with male cards. So, I came up with this fun design, perfect for those Autumn birthdays!

After creating a white card base, I cut a white panel with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Stripes die. Next, I selected two scraps of white card stock and ran them both through the machine with the same die.

The large white scalloped panel got further embellished with the inner die of the Frilly Frames Retro Petals set. I love how all these ‘Frilly’ dies can be combined to create endless new designs! I kept all the inner pieces in place with a sheet of Press ‘n Seal (a great item to have in your stash!) and glued the panel to the card base.

The other two white scalloped scrap pieces were turned into nice borders by using one of the Ribbon & Lace Border dies. To create more contrast, I colored them both in a teal color with the ink to paper technique (just pull the ink pad across the paper a few times). I love how this not only gave the borders a nice color but also a kind of velvety look! Next, I glued both pieces to the top and bottom of the white embossed panel.

I then stamped a beautiful leave (Elegant Leaves) in four Fall colors and used the matching die to cut them out. Together they create a beautiful wreath, I added a white circle on top (Stitched Circles Large) with a sentiment from the Party Pets set. To complete the design, I glued a few Pure White Jewels across the wreath.

Fall Friends Card with Amanda

Hey there, Sunny Studio Stamps fans! Welcome to the blog! It’s Amanda here with you today and I’m getting ready for Fall! So I’ve made this super cute Fall card to share with you!

This card features the stamp set called Fall Friends! I love these images so much that I couldn’t decide which ones to put on the card! So, I created a layout that would let me put almost all the images on one card!

I created my background with the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies. I die-cut just the frame from this set with white cardstock. On the inner rectangles, I inked blended some Catherine Pooler inks with a blending brush. I used Cashmere for the top two rectangles and Succulent for the bottom ones. After I was finished blending them, I spritzed them with a spray bottle filled with water. 

On my magnetic craft mat, I laid my A2 card base down. Next, I secured the frame down onto my card base with magnets. This allows me to use the frame as a guide for placing my rectangles perfectly. I added some liquid glue to the backs of my rectangles and placed them onto the card base.

Next, I stamped all my critters and images on a piece of white cardstock with black ink. I colored all the images in with Copic markers, focusing on muted Autumn colors. I added some highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. Then, I die-cut all the images out with the coordinating die set. I used low-tack tape to keep the dies in place while running them through my die-cutting machine.

I arranged all the images on my card where I think I wanted them to go, starting with the largest images first. As I was making my layout, I grabbed the sentiment from the stamp set and placed the words in the upper right corner, arranging the images around it. I took a photo of the card layout so I wouldn't forget how I liked it!  

Then, I moved all the images to the side, leaving my sentiment in place. I put the card base into my MISTI and stamped my sentiment with black ink. Finally, I placed 3D foam squares behind all the images and adhered them to the card! All finished! Don't you just want to squeeze all those little critters?!

Comic Strip Everyday Home Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share a card set featuring the cute home-themed images from the Comic Strip Everyday Dies.

For my first card showcasing the Comic Strip Everyday Dies, I have a fall card using the house, trees, clouds, and hearts from the set to create an autumn scene. I mixed and matched tone-on-tone patterned papers from a number of different sets, including our Critter Country Paper, Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper, and Gingham Jewel Tones Paper. For the grassy hillsides, I used the Mini Grass Border Dies. Finally, for my greeting, I heat-embossed the sentiment "Wishing you a beautiful Autumn season" from our Beautiful Autumn Stamps onto a brown pennant strip from our Stitched Rectangle Dies.

For my second card using the Comic Strip Everyday Dies, I focused on utilizing all the images and elements from the set. I cut the comic strip frame from black cardstock and backed it with a piece of blue cardstock for my sky. I then set to work filling each frame with the trees, houses, cards, clouds, sunshine, and grass from the set. To give my homes the look of lap siding, I cut them from striped patterned paper from our Striped Silly Paper pack. The trees were cut from the green heart print from our Rainbow Bright Paper pack. To complete my card, I heat embossed the phrase "home sweet home" in the top, right corner from our Happy Home Stamps.

Birthday Mouse Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun birthday card featuring images from the Harvest Mice and Birthday Mouse sets. I just love these adorable mice.

I started by creating the background and using the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of pink cardstock. I trimmed a slim edge off the panel and adhered it to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5"). Next, I used the second smallest die from the Scalloped Square 1 Small Dies to die-cut two squares out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. I lightly colored the upper part of the sky with Copic markers. I added a piece of craft foam to the backside of the squares before adhering them to the pink panel.

I stamped the mice from the Harvest Mice Stamps and Birthday Mouse Stamps, the cheese from the Merry Mice Stamps, and the hats from the Party Pets Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Harvest Mice Dies, Birthday Mouse Dies, Merry Mice Dies and Party Pets Dies to die-cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I used the Brilliant Banner 3 Die to die-cut a banner from Neenah Solar white cardstock. I colored the banner with Copic markers. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Inside Greetings: Birthday Stamps directly onto the banner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I highlighted it with a white gel pen. The colored images and sentiment were adhered to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.
