Baby Elephants Card Set with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some ice cream-themed cards for Summer using our Baby Elephant Stamps.

For my first card today I have a stars and moon baby-themed card using the Baby Elephant Stamps. I started by die-cutting a stitched scalloped frame using our Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies and then layered it with a Stitched Rectangle Die cut from a deep blue patterned paper from our Gingham Jewel Tones Paper pack. For my greeting, I used white embossing powder to emboss the sentiment "I Love You to the Moon and Back" from our Lovey Dovey Stamps. I then arranged my sleeping elephant cradled in the moon with the polka-dot clouds and star balloons stamped with the optional happy faces.

For my second card featuring the Baby Elephant Stamps today, I have an encouragement card pairing the elephants with the umbrella from the set. I stamped six of them, colored in solid pastel colors, before adding small white polka-dots with a white gel pen. For my card base, I die-cut the largest 4.5" Stitched Square Die and then matted it with a 5" lavender polka-dot print from our Spring Fever Paper pack. I stamped the greeting "You are my sunshine on a cloudy day" from our Sunny Sentiments Stamps in the top, center and then scattered the umbrellas around it like they had been picked up in a gust of wind. I also sprinkled 5 pale pink hearts cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers to fill in some empty spaces from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies.

Tiki Time Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a summer vibe card to share with you featuring the adorable mice from Harvest Mice in a Tiki Time setting.

I stamped the images from the Harvest Mice Stamp and Tiki Time Stamp sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Harvest Mice Dies and Tiki Time Dies to diecut them out. I also diecut two trees out of the Neenah cardstock with the Tropical Trees Background Die. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

For the background, I ink blended Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once dry, I added a few dots with a Copic marker (E33) and a white gel pen into the sand for a bit of interest.

I stamped the Sending Summer Vibes sentiment from the Beach Bus Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly onto the inked panel. The ink panel was trimmed down to 4" x 5.25" and adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"). The colored images were adhered with a combo of liquid adhesive and foam tape.

Balloon Rides Hot Air Balloon Card with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, dropping in to share a card for Summer using our Balloon Rides Stamps. I wanted to color my hot air balloon from the set as a rainbow, but decided to mix it up a bit to look like you were catching it from a different angle by having my rainbow start with green so that it wouldn't perfectly line up with my rainbow bunting.

I inked two panels of white cardstock I had sitting on my desk left over from another card, using a light hand of Salty Ocean distress ink for my sky and Twisted Citron from the grass before trimming them down using our Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then added the hillside curve using our Slimline Nature Border Dies.

The remainder of my card including the sentiment, critter, house, and trees were all filled to complete my scene using the Balloon Rides Stamps. For the two cloud images that come with the stamp set, I chose to stamp just the simple outline of them onto my background using PinkFresh Studio Summer Shower Ink. I love the subtle effect of keeping them tone-on-tone!

Cruisin' Cuisine Food Truck Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some fun food truck cards for Summer using our Cruisin' Cuisine Stamps.

For my first card showcasing the Cruisin' Cuisine Stamps, I turned my truck into a "burger bus," using the mustard & ketchup bottles and small words to personalize the truck. Along the bottom "front" portion of my scene, I added a pair of bears using our Big Panda Stamps, giving them french fries and a soda to hold from our Fast Food Fun Stamps. For the scenery behind my truck, I added a grassy edge using our Mini Grass Border Dies and some stitched Fluffy Cloud Dies to the sky.

I ran out of a prominent spot to squeeze in a fun greeting on the outside of my card, so I added one to the inside instead, adding another burger and fries from the Cruisin' Cuisine Stamps with the punny greeting from our Fast Food Fun Stamps.

My second card pairs our Big Bunny Stamps with the donut and food truck from our Cruisin' Cuisine Stamps. I love how all the foods that go on the top of the truck can also mix and match with our other food images and are the perfect size for our big critters to hold in the foreground. To fill out the scene behind my donut truck, I added a city using our Cityscape Border Dies, a grass border strip cut from green cardstock, and the two trees from our Charming City Stamps. Lastly, I stamped the punny donut greeting using a sentiment from our Breakfast Puns Stamps.
