Perfect Popsicle & Two Scoops 5-Card Set with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share a number of cool sweet treat cards using our Two Scoops Stamps and Perfect Popsicle Stamps.

Sunny Studio Ice Cream Cone Treat Summer Cards using Perfect Popsicle & Two Scoops Clear Craft Stamps & Metal Cutting Dies

Since it's Independence Day here in the USA, I thought I would create a red, white, and blue popsicle card using our retiring Perfect Popsicle StampsFor my card, I started by die-cutting the star print patterned paper from our Surprise Party Paper and Subtle Grey Tones Paper packs using the stitched hill die from our Slimline Nature Border Dies. I then stamped the small open stars from our Too Cute To Spook Stamps in pale grey ink. For my greeting, I stamped the words "happy" and "of July" using the Happy Thought Stamps and filling in the number four with our Chloe Numbers Dies and the "th" from our Sweet Script StampsI completed my card by adding some Patriotic Star Jewels and layered them over the coordinating wavy red, white, and blue stripes.

While I had the popsicles set up in my MISTI tool, I decided to stamp a rainbow of Perfect Popsicle Stamps. I kept this card super simple, allowing the cute popsicles to shine. I added a 1" wide strip of green cardstock, die-cutting the top edge with the stitched die from our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I then stamped and heat-embossed my big, bold greeting using our Color Me Happy StampsThe perfect final touch was a stitched heart from our Window Trio Circle Dies.

Switching gears, I have an ice cream cone card featuring the layering images from our Two Scoops Stamps. This is one of our earliest layering sets and is still one of my favorites. Back when this set came out, I had pre-stamped many of the images, so my goal today was to work with what I had and make as many cards as possible with the stamped images I had left over so they dictated my color schemes.

I mounted my cones onto a pale pink square trimmed along the top and bottom with the stitched edge from our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I then used that same die set to cut a scalloped lace edge from ivory cardstock to match the vanilla ice cream. I added a brown polka-dot beneath each scallop from our Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper and heat-embossed my "What's the scoop?" greeting in white onto a red Brilliant Banner 1 Die. Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to my red cherries and syrup, dropping red and pink Seed Beads into the glossy liquid before they dried to look like sprinkles in the syrup.

This next card uses a similar Neapolitan ice cream color scheme and the soft serve top from our Two Scoops Stamps. Once again, I have three cones, but this time, I framed each cone with a 1.25" wide strip of patterned paper cut from our Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper and Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper packs. I wanted the bottom of each strip to look like a giant scallop along the bottom of my card, but I didn't have a die that makes this shape, so I cheated by adding my sentiment strip over the top to hide the seam and pieced together separate 1.25" stitched circles from our Stitched Circles Small DiesI added a stitched edge to each of my other strips using our Slimline Basic Border Dies to make the stitching look continuous.

For my sentiment strip, I used the pink grid print from our Gingham Pastels Paper pack, adding the same stitched edge along the top and bottom. I then added a thin ricrac edge in cream cardstock to match the vanilla ice cream using our Ric Rac Border Dies. Lastly, I pieced together a customized sentiment taking the word "sweet" from our Candy Shoppe Stamps and pairing it with the "have a" and "birthday" from our Silly Sloths Stamps.

For my last card today featuring the Two Scoops Stamps, I paired ice cream scoops with the classic flat-bottom cones. I decorated them with the syrup and cherry images from the stamp set and added Ice Cream Chocolate Sprinkles to my third cone. For my background, I added diagonal strips of patterned paper from our Gingham Jewel Tones PaperDots & Stripes Pastels Paper, and Polka-Dot Parade Paper packs. I added stitched edges of the strips using the Slimline Basic Border Dies and stamped my sentiment from the set into the bottom left corner of the card.

Fabulous Flamingos Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be sharing with you this lovely scene featuring three Fabulous Flamingos having a quiet moment in a pond, with dragonflies and flies buzzing around.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fabulous Flamingos Summer Themed Friendship Card by Marine Simon (featuring Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies, Country Scenes, Seasonal Trees, Brilliant Banner Dies, Froggy Friends)

I started off by cutting a large Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and created a simple cloudy sky using a cloud stencil from my stash along with salvaged patina and peacock feathers oxide inks. I splattered water on the panel and dried it with a paper towel. I mixed some peacock feathers oxide ink with water and added blue splatters to my cloudy sky using a slim brush, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I set my panel aside to dry, and stamped the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers, and then added highlights and details using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Fabulous Flamingos - flamingos • Country Scenes - pond, cattails, small water lilies • Froggy Friends - cattails, flies, large water lily • Feeling Froggy - dragonflies • Seasonal Trees - trees.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, trimmed the bottom of my pond image from Country Scenes using the same Rounded Rectangle Mat die as the one I used to make the cloudy background, and then attached everything to my cloudy panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

For my sentiment, I first cut two banner pieces out of light pink cardstock using Brilliant Banner 1 dies. I white heat embossed "For my flamazing friend" on the front piece, attached that front piece to the back piece using 1mm foam squares, and then attached the whole banner to my panel using foam squares again. "For my" and "Friends" are from Little Birdie, and "Flamazing" is from Fabulous Flamingos. Finally, I attached my panel to a white card base, and added white blizzard nuvo drops to the dragonflies wings to make them sparkle.

And that's it! I wonder what those cute flamingos are talking about, don't you? Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Enchanted Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and my project today is so sweet and romantic! I am using the adorable Enchanted stamp and die set with lots of fairytale images. You can mix and match the sentiments to create the cutest messages!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Enchanted Love Themed Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies, Stitched Ovals Dies, Dotted Diamond Dies, Brilliant Banner Dies)

Lots of romance going on and that is reflected in my color palette of soft pink, green and a bit of yellow. Such a perfect combo for this theme card. The scene wouldn’t be complete without lots of layers, I think it adds so much to the definition of a card.

Today I star with a standard pink card base, which I ‘created’ by coloring the edges of a plain white base with the darkest pink Copic marker I used for my coloring. Simple, and a perfect match!

Next, I cut a white panel using the outer die from the Frilly Frames Chevron set, which was further embellished by the Dotted Diamond Portrait die. This latter die is great to have in your stash, I love how it always elevates my cards and it is so easy to use!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Enchanted Love Themed Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies, Stitched Ovals Dies, Dotted Diamond Dies, Brilliant Banner Dies)

Creating the oval focus point was achieved by combining the largest die from Scalloped Oval Mat 1 and the largest of the Stitched Ovals 2 dies. I used both to create a pink border, next, I cut three panel with the stitched die from white cardstock. One of these was splattered with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink and a small paintbrush. The other two were turned into grass borders (mini grass border dies, colored with Cracked Pistachio).

After selecting a cute princess, a knight and of course a castle (Enchanted stamp), I started my coloring with Copic markers. I added highlights with a gel pen.

I opted to stamp the combined sentiment (Enchanted stamp) onto a curved banner (Brilliant Banner 4) with Versafine Onyx Black ink. For extra interest, I cut the same shape from the pink card stock I used for the oval frame. I added all the layers and images to my card base and finished this project with some Pink Spinel Jewels.

I hope you like this sweet card and happy crafting!

Two Scoops Cards with Amanda

Hey, crafty friends, Amanda here! I hope your summer is off to a fantastic start and you’re finding plenty of time to get crafty! I had some time to make these 2 SWEET cards and I’m here today to walk you through how I made them! So, keep reading and let’s make these cards together!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Two Scoops Cards by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Summer Splash Patterned Paper)

The first thing I did was choose inks that would go well with the Summer Splash Paper. I knew I needed cone colors as well as ice cream colors! I settled on the following Catherine Pooler inks:

Ice Creams:
Creamsicle, Bellini & Orange Twist
Chiffon, Limoncello & Catching Rays
Be Mine & Pucker Up
Cones:
Buttercream & Honeycomb and Cashmere & Sand Castle

Sunny Studio Stamps: Two Scoops Cards by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Summer Splash Patterned Paper)

I stamped each of the ice cream components from the Two Scoops Stamps on white cardstock. I fussy cut them out with my scissors, but there’s also coordinating dies you can use! Next, I chose some papers I liked from the Summer Splash Paper. I trimmed the pieces down and then glued them to a white card base.

I stamped my sentiments next. For the pink ice cream card, I stamped directly onto my card base with black ink. For the other card, I stamped the sentiment with a WOW embossing pad, applied white embossing powder, and then melted the powder with a heat tool. I trimmed the sentiment down into a strip that would fit on my card and then glued it down. I placed 3D foam squares behind the ice cream cones and then attached them to my cards. I added a few Party Confetti pieces to finish the cards off!

These cards just make me smile with their bright and happy summer colors! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and come back tomorrow for more inspiration!
