Pretty Poinsettia Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha, here today with a bright and festive Christmas card featuring the Pretty Poinsettia stamps and dies. These stamps give a beautiful effect and it is so easy to align all the layers. We can stamp multiple images at the same time and then mass produce these cards.

I started by taking a white card layer and used the Dotted Diamond Portrait die for a lovely texture. Add some teal splatters using salvaged patina distress ink. 

Stamp the images and die-cut using coordinating dies:

Poinsettia - Pretty Poinsettia stamps and dies
Fir leaves - Classy Christmas stamps and dies
Sentiment - Christmas Critters
Fern leaves from silver card  - Spring Greenery dies

Create the cluster, add the sentiment. Adhere this layer to a pink cardbase.

Feliz Navidad Card with Bobbi

Hello friends. It’s Bobbi here, sharing a card featuring the new Feliz Navidad stamps and coordinating dies. This sentiment is bold and a generous size. It can be combined with other Christmas sets to make your holiday cards.

I’m using the following Sunny Studio Stamps products:

Feliz Navidad stamps and coordinating dies

Reindeer Games stamps and coordinating dies

Winter Greenery dies

Pristine Poinsettia dies

Joyful Holiday Paper Pad

Stitched Arch dies

To create this 5″ X 7″ card, I used festive paper from the Joyful Holiday paper pad and the largest arch die to create the background. I also stamped the sentiment in a bright red and cut it using the dies. I stacked four of the die cuts to make the sentiment stand out. I stamped the two deer, colored them using Copic Sketch Markers and cut them out using the dies. I used the following Copics:

• Browns: E57, E55, E44, E43 and E42
• Reds: R00, R22
• Greens: YG67, YG17, YG03

I cut the foliage stems using the Winter Greenery Dies along with white and green cardstock. I also cut the Pristine Poinsettia – three layered sets of white cuts – and glued the layers together to make the large white poinsettia. I applied Copic C1 to the top layer of the petals. I also glued in some Ruby Red Jewels in the center of the poinsettia for a little sparkle.

I assembled the card and used foam dots behind the deer to make them stand out. The poinsettia was glued in place in the center of the arch window. Greenery, the sentiment, deer and foliage were all added to the card front. I felt like the card needed a little more contrast so I also added 1/8″ strips of a dark brown cardstock above and below the checkered, gray paper.  More Ruby Read jewels were added to this card front to complete it.

Holiday Hugs Card with Rachel

Hello crafty friends! It's Rachel here with a Christmas card featuring the adorable Holiday Hugs Stamp Set. This sweet little bear is one of my favorites from the latest release, and I love that he can be used for a variety of card making themes.

I first stamped my images (the bear is from the Holiday Hugs Stamp Set, and the large cup of hot chocolate is from the Baking Spirits Bright Stamp Set) onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I then used the coordinating Holiday Hugs and Baking Spirits Bright Die Sets to cut them out.

I wanted to keep my design simple, so I used a piece of winter scenery patterned-paper from the Very Merry Paper Pad for my background. I trimmed this piece to 4.25" x 5.5" and adhered it to my A2 top-folding card base. Next, I die cut a scalloped rectangular frame from white card stock using the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. I then adhered it around the outer edge of my card with liquid adhesive. To finish my card, I heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of red card stock with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder, used the coordinating dies to cut the words out, and then adhered them to the front of my card with some more liquid adhesive.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Donna Mikasa

Hello and Happy Saturday! Donna Mikasa here and I’m excited to share some projects using products from the newest Sunny Studio release.

I’ve combined new and older products that I thought worked well together. For my first project, I made a card with the happy go lucky pup from Dashing Dachshund.

A sky was ink blended on watercolor card stock and spattered with water. I used the Snowflake Circle Frame Die as a focal point, die cutting the snowflakes from glitter card stock.

A little secret on how I “colored” the pup. Since my Copic markers are drying up from not being used, I decided to stencil in the colors by cutting out the pup and laying it over the stamped image. I stenciled in the color and die cut him out. It’s not perfect coloring but I wanted o test out a different way to color an image. The sentiment is from Holiday Style.

For my second project, I made a simple tag using Holiday Hugs. I made a polar bear holding a large snowflake, again using snowflakes from the Snowflake Circle Frame Die.

An arch shaped tag was cut from white card stock and ink blended with blue inks. To give the tag some texture, I ran it through the Moroccan Circles embossing folder.

The polar bear was colored and cut with the matching dies and adhered to the tag. I added more snowflakes and a simple sentiment from the same set.

I like that Sunny Studio Stamps can be mixed and matched with older sets so you can stretch their usage throughout the holiday.

Woolen Mitten Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here featuring the gorgeous Woolen Mitten Die set! I am a huge fan of shaped cards and I love that this mitten is big enough to add lots of details to it. Such as the festive wreath I am creating today.

I am kicking off this project by creating a white mitten card base by folding a sheet of white card stock in two and using the mitten die, making sure the top part stayed intact. Next, I cut another mitten from a beautiful snowflake paper (Joyful Holiday) and added some dimension by inking the edges with a blending brush and Distress Oxide Uncharted Mariner.

I did the same for the cuff of the mitten which I created with a polka dot paper (Joyful Holiday). A small white border (Ribbon & Lace Border dies) was added as extra embellishment. After gluing all the elements of the mitten to my shaped card base, I was ready to work on my wreath.

The smallest wreath die from Winter Wreaths was the perfect size for my base. This immediately gives you the perfect circle shape to add the branches from Winter Greenery Dies. I stacked two layers of branches in the same teal blue color as my base. I also cut three extra branches from a shiny white card stock to give some contrast with the blue mitten.

I used the smallest Poinsettia leaf die from the Woolen Mitten set and cut it from red, pink and white card stock. This creates the most adorable little flowers with a small white gem from the Pure White Jewels as a center. I added the flowers to the wreath with some foam tape and glued the whole piece onto the mitten shape. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from Feeling Frosty to a small white strip using Versafine Onyx black ink and added it to the cuff of the mitten.

I am sure you will love this beautiful mitten die as much as I do!
