Designer's Choice Cards with Ashley and Juliana

Hello friends! It's Ashley today with a cute customized birthday card featuring several Sunny Studio sets! My husband's birthday is later this month, so I colored the images to look like our daughter and fur kids! 

I started by blending Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Speckled Egg, and Tumbled Glass onto white cardstock. I added a white frame using the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die. I added my sentiment into one of the larger rectangles with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used a combination of phrases from Party Pups, Devoted Doggies, and Puppy Parents. 

I stamped my images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics before cutting everything out with the matching dies. I used: 

Devoted Doggies (two dogs)
Party Pups (cake and birthday items)
Purrfect Birthday (kitty)
Spring Showers (girl)
Floating By (balloons)

I glued everything to my card, popping a few images up with foam tape, and finished with a few iridescent crystals for sparkle.

Hello Sunny Studio friends! It's Juliana and today I'm sharing a card featuring the Savanna Safari Stamp Set.

I began by stamping images from the Savanna Safari Stamp Set. I also added in some foliage from the Fabulous Flamingo Stamps and Tropical Scenes Stamps. I colored all of the images with Copic Markers and then die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Once all of the coloring and stamping was completed, I began working on the background and frame area. For the frame I cut a piece of white cardstock using the stitched zigzag die from the Frilly Frames Chevron Dies. I then cut the center out using one of the Stitched Arch Dies. Next I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth Paper to 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 inches and ink blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

I popped the die cut frame piece up on the background with kraft foam. I then went about creating my scene with the critters and foliage. I again used double sided foam adhesive to give some of the images a bit of dimension.

To finish off the card I added the sentiment on black cardstock that was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Summer Cards with Mona Tóth

Hi crafty friends! It's Mona here and I am super excited to be a guest on the Sunny Studio Stamp blog. Today I am showing you one vintage bright floral card and one cute with the cutest seal stamp set ever!

For my first card I started the card making with stamp layering with the fabulous Everything’s Rosy and the Potted Rose stamp sets which matches perfectly together. For the stamping I used Hybrid Inks from Scrapbook.com. For the leaves I used the various greens and for the rose I used pinks, violets and yellows as well. When the stamp layering was done I Die-cut the images with their coordinating dies.

The next step was the background. I picked a pink striped cardstock from the Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper Pad and run it through my Die-Cut machine with Frilly Frames Stripes Dies and repeated the same process with a white cardstock as well. Next, I run the white Die-cut once more through my die-cut machine, but this time with the Woodland Borders Die to create a desk on my card.   

When it was done, I stamped the “Hello” sentiment with the Potted Rose stamp set and watermark ink then I heat embossed it. In the end I styled my card and adhered the flowers together. I also added some embellishments and my first card was done.

For my second card, for the base I have used the frame from the Frilly Frames Chevron Dies to create white Die-cut, then I created a bit smaller water coloring. I created the water colored beach with teal and light brown watercolors then I splattered on it with a bit darker brown and blue watercolor and let it dry. Next, I put on my card the super sweet seals which I made with the Sealiously Sweet Stamps and Sealiously Sweet Dies which I have colored with Copic Markers.

In the end I just put my card together with 3D foam adhesives, to add more dimension to my card.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Savanna Safari Card with Juliana Michaels

Hello Sunny Studio friends! It's Juliana and I'm so happy to be here as a guest on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing a slimline card I created using Savanna Safari, which is one of my favorite stamp sets from the Summer release. Who doesn't love cute safari critters?!

I began by stamping images from the Savanna Safari Stamp Set. I also added in a monkey from the Love Monkey Stamps and a sloth from Silly Sloths Stamps. The foliage comes from the Fabulous Flamingo Stamps and Tropical Scenes Stamps. I colored all of the images with Copic Markers and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. You my notice the monkey is holding a banana instead of the love letter that is part of the stamp. I simply fussy cut the letter and then added the banana image to  better fit the theme for this card.

For the background I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth Paper to 3.375 x 8.375 inches and ink blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. This was then adhered to a white card base that is 3.625 x 8.625 inches. I then went about layering on each of the adorable critters using double sided foam tape to give them some dimension. I then added in the foliage and vine across the top.

To finish off the card I added the die cut hello which is from the Sunny Sentiments Die Set.

Cruisin' Cuisine Cards with Rachel and Candice

Hello crafty friends! Rachel here with a donut filled card to share with you today that features the Cruisin' Cuisine Stamp Set. 

To create this single-layer card, I used the cute little donut stamp that comes with this set and started stamping from the top of the donut pile and masking each image prior to stamping the next donut as I went along. To mask each donut, I used a piece of Gina K. Designs Magic Masking Paper.

I colored each donut with Copic Markers after stamping them onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Lastly, I used a basic stitched rectangle die to cut out my panel and then attached it to an A2 card base that I had covered with some pink patterned paper from the Gingham Pastels Paper Pack. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from this set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Hello! It's Candice with you again today sharing a fun sweet card with you inspired by cotton candy ice cream!

I used a few Sunny Studio products to create my card:

• Cruisin' Cuisine stamps & coordinating dies
• Sealiously Sweet stamps (birthday word)
• Frilly Frames Chevron dies

I began my card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits nicely into your standard size envelopes. For the background, I first die cut multiple times using the Frilly Frames Chevron die from Bristol Smooth inked with worn lipstick and Spun Sugar to create lots of arrows. I then die cut the chevron frame one more time to create a template. I began in the center and used the template to glue in the arrows nice and straight and did the same on the top and bottom cutting off the extra over the edges.

Next, I stamped the images from the Cruisin' Cuisine stamp set onto watercolor paper, colored them with Zig clean color markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I adhered them onto the card front with foam tape and trimmed the edges with scissors. To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiments in white on grey cardstock and used foam tape to add were the arrows meet. A few pink and blue nuvo drops and my card is complete!
