Prancing Pegasus and Tiny Dancer Cards with Lynn and Ashley

Hello there! It’s Lynn here and today I’m sharing a colorful birthday card I created featuring the fun Prancing Pegasus stamp set and coordinating dies.

When creating my card, I went with a clean and simple rainbow theme using the fun Prancing Pegasus stamp set and coordinating dies. I started out by stamping the Pegasus image from the set and coloring it using Copic markers then die cutting it out. Next I used the Sunny Sentiments stamp set and stamped three of the cloud images and three star images, I colored them and used the coordinating Sunny Sentiment dies to die cut them out.

Once that was done, I heat embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock the word "Magical" and used my Misti tool to stamp the rest of my sentiment on to my white card base. Next I used a rainbow of Distress Oxide ink colors and blended them on to a strip of white card stock. I used: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet. I adhered my rainbow strip to my card front and added my images, popping up the Pegasus with foam tape.

Hello everyone! It's Ashley today with a second card using the Tiny Dancers set for my daughter's dance teacher. She has been doing online dance classes over Zoom and managing to keep the attention of a group of two year olds! She is amazing, and I wanted a card to send her now to let her know how much my daughter and I appreciate her.

I started by using a circle stencil on white cardstock to create the blended area. I used Pinkfresh Studio Ocean Breeze and Lawn Fawn Manatee inks to color a nice backdrop for my dancer. I die cut the piece with the frame from Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace and adhered it to teal floral patterned paper from Flirty Flowers.

I stamped the dancer from Tiny Dancers in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored her to look like my daughter in her dance class outfit, but with sparkles. I think we could all use some extra sparkle right now! I stamped and colored the roses from Tiny Dancers as well. Since they often use wands and ribbons in class, I stamped the wand from Enchanted to add to the dancer's hand.

After adding my images to the card front, I stamped some sparkles from Enchanted around the dancer in VersaMark ink and embossed with clear iridescent glitter. I stamped the sentiment from Spring Showers in VersaFine Onyx Black and finished with a few Studio Katia Iridescent Crystals for extra sparkle.

I decided to embellish my envelope a bit to match. I stamped the ballet slippers and a sentiment from Tiny Dancers onto the back of the envelope and then colored the slippers with Copics. A few white gel pen details gave the shoes a bit of sparkle too!

Home Sweet Gnome and Spring Showers Cards with Rachel and Candice

Hello crafty friends, Rachel here! I hope you are all doing well! I have found that setting aside a few minutes each day to be crafty has helped me to keep some semblance of normalcy during these crazy times. 

I have a slimline card to share with you today that features both the adorable Home Sweet Gnome and Backyard Bugs stamp sets. I love creating slimline cards when I have a bunch of images that I want to use in one card without it looking too crowded. To start, I first stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then colored them with Copic Markers, cut them out, and then set them aside to work on my background.

For my background, I trimmed a piece of smooth white card stock to 8.25" x 3.25" and then blended the top section with some Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I then die cut a strip of grass from white card stock using the grass die from the Sunny Sentiments Die Set. Once cut, I then blended it with some Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks to give it some color. Next, I stamped my sentiment with Black Ink onto the lower right side of my card and then added everything to my card base with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape. Lastly, I added both a white and blue trim to my card using colored card stock so that my final card measurement would be 8.5" x 3.5".

Hello fellow Crafters! Candice with you today with a rainbow umbrella rain shaker, slimline style! This interactive card was inspired by a fellow DT member Ashley Ebben, who sent me a rain shaker card that made my day! 

I used a few Sunny Studio products to create my interactive card:

• Spring Showers stamps & coordinating dies
• Fluffy Clouds Border dies
• Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die (sun)

I began with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which will fit nicely into your standard size envelopes. For my background, I trimmed a piece of Bristol smooth to fit the card front, inked with black soot, chipped sapphire, faded jeans & blueprint sketch and then splattered with water, white paint & navy shimmer spray.

While that dried, I die cut the stitched clouds, inking the tops lightly with stormy sky and stamped the sentiment on the bottom cloud. Next, I stamped the umbrellas, colored them in rainbow with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

To create the "rain" element, I adhered a strip of foam tape along the bottom and top of the inked front and marked with a pencil every 1/4" to line up the thread. I then added some 1/4" scor-tape over the foam tape for extra stickiness, adhered the thread on the top, strung the beads and pulled tight to the bottom. As I worked my way across, I added a second strip of scor-tape over the thread to hold it firmly, pressing as I finished each row. 

After I was done with the last one, I added another strip of foam tape on top. This allows the beads to move freely along the card and under the clouds. To put it all together, I added the clouds over the threads and layered the sun and umbrellas with foam tape too.
