The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge with Fourth of July Cards

Hello! This is Day 2 of a two day hop to celebrate the tenth 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Have you heard of "The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge" hosted by Kathy Racoosin? Right now it's in the middle of the challenge and it's a great time to take a leap, jump in and get your feet wet!  Don't feel like you are jumping into the middle of the challenge I hope you will think of it as a new beginning.

The premise of "The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge" is to color something everyday even if it's for five minutes. However feel free to  jump in or out as time permits.

In honor of the blog hop we have created two cards to share with you today...

Card No. 1: With Fourth of July right around the corner I thought pull out my favorite Copic Markers and color the dogs from our Party Pups & Devoted Doggies sets with a banner from our Stars & Stripes stamps. I love that I was able to switch up the party hats and color them with a patriotic twist. For my greeting I borrowed a stamp from a versatile new sentiment set debuting next month. ;)

Card No. 2: For my second card I used the flag and some leftover bunting images that I had already colored from that same Stars & Stripes set together with the hedgehog, raccoon & snail from our Critter Campout set that I had colored several months ago.  I love that I was able to create a card from essentially leftover scraps that were otherwise going unused in my stash.

Beach Babies Sand and Ocean Fun Shaker Card with Lexa

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a summer shaker card featuring Beach Babies Stamps and the coordinating dies. I believe many of you already know how cute this stamp set is with all the beach accessories you can make as many as designs you can imagined. My basic idea was to create a shaker card on the ocean part with some sequins and fishes. So I come up with this card.

First I stamp all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring I use the coordinating dies to cut them. I also add a little crab, starfish and some fishes from both Oceans Of Joy and Magical Mermaids stamps. Those little people are having so much fun at the beach! 

I use Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink for the sky and Tea Dye for the sand. To create the ocean, I blend some Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks before create the rectangle shaker window. You can't go wrong with shaker cards, anyone love them since they are so much fun!

Critter Campout Colored Pencil One Layer Card with Vanessa

Hello sweet Sunny Studio friends! Vanessa here with a card using Critter Campout. I wasn't sure if the card would turn out as I intended it to be, but I am quite satisfied with the result!

All I did was to stamp the images onto a piece of white cardstock and color everything with Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils. I felt like a child coloring to my heart's content :) I tried to imagine how the fire would light the areas and started from this point towards the outer areas.

After I had adhered the panel to the card, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of red cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it.

Party Pups Window Grid Birthday Themed Card with Franci

Hi there, Franci here with you today! I made a cute birthday themed card with the adorable Party Pups set and I love it!

I'm totally in love with these sweet puppies all dressed up for a birthday party! First, I stamped lots of the images from the set with Memento black ink, colored them with Copics, and die cut them with their coordinating dies.

Then I die cut 2 stitched rectangles: 1 out of some white cardstock and 1 out of the blue sheet from the Polka-Dot Parade paper pack. I also die cut the blue rectangle with the Window Trio Square die twice to create a fun design.

I colored the white stitched rectangle with Twisted Citron, Spiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry Distress inks to create 6 little backgrounds and adhered one behind each window from the blue panel. I stamped my sentiment with the same black ink used before and glued down the blue rectangle on to the white one with foam adhesive.

I also glued down all the puppies and their party accessorizes with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive. Finally, I added some details with a white gel pen and some sparkle here and there with the Wink of Stella clear brush.

Berry Bliss Jelly Gift Jar Labels with Juliana

Hello friends! It's Juliana Michaels and today I'm sharing some berry sweet jelly jar gift tags. I created theses tags using the Berry Bliss stamp set and FancyFrames Rectangle die set. I adhered them on store bought jelly jars, but in the next few weeks I'll be making my homemade strawberry jelly. At that time, I'll be making a few more of these tags as I plan to give these out as gifts to our new neighbors.

The Berry Bliss stamp set is one of the newest layered stamp sets from Sunny Studio Stamps. By stamping each layer with different shades of ink you are able to achieve a very realistic looking image. 

For each design, I began by stamping the base image with the lightest ink color. I then stamped each additional layer with a slightly darker ink, saving the darkest color for the final stamping. After I had finished stamping all of the images, I die cut them using the coordinating dies.

To create the tags, I die cut a piece of aqua cardstock using the smallest Fancy Frames Rectangle die. I took the inside piece to use for the tag and saved the outer piece for a future project. Next, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to size and adhered the frame on top. For the sentiment, I used the Fresh & Fruity stamp set with black ink. To complete the tag, I adhered the die cut fruit shapes to the tag using double sided foam adhesive to give them some dimension.

Once all of the tags were finished, I adhered them to the jars. They're now ready to give as a gift to that berry special someone! I can't wait to make some homemade jelly to give as gifts and of course, to eat some of it too!
