Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a jungle card featuring the Monkey Business stamp set.
I started by ink blending the background using a soft salmon-colored ink. Next I stamped the jungle image five times from the Tropical Scenes stamp set, along with the adorable monkeys from the Monkey Business stamp set. I die-cut all the images using their coordinating dies. To make the card extra festive, I also stamped the party hats and presents from the Quill Cuties stamp set and colored it with Ohuhu markers.
Once everything was colored, I
started assembling the card. I adhered two jungle branches at the top and two
at the bottom of the card. For the final branch, I cut it in half and placed
the pieces along the middle sides of the card to frame the design nicely.
For the sentiment, I used the
same salmon ink as the background to stamp it using the Big Bold Greetings stamp set and I stamp again the lower part of the letters using a
slightly darker shade and die-cutting it using the coordinating die.
I also die-cut the sentiment once from brown cardstock and layered it behind
the main sentiment to create a subtle shadow effect.
Finally, I adhered the sentiment
in the center of the card, arranged the monkeys and presents around it, and
added some highlights with a white gel pen to finish everything off.
Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.
