Hello crafters, Tina here and I swear that on certain days I can feel Spring in the air! That is why I am so excited to create a card with the gorgeous Spring Garland stamp and die set. Not only are the images stunning, this stamp gives you so much options with the separate clusters and butterflies.
Since
the flowers are slightly curved, I thought they would work very well with an
oval design. I started by cutting a pink piece of cardstock from my stash with
the largest of the Stitched Ovals. Next, I dry embossed this piece with the beautiful Buffalo Plaid Diagonal die and layered the panel on
top of a white scalloped border (Scalloped Oval Mat 1).
My simple white card base got some extra interest by adding a striped design with a stencil and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide. I set this base aside to dry before mounting the oval pieces. Then I pulled out my Copics and selected happy Spring colors for the flower arrangements.
I
played around with both pieces and loved the idea of them following the oval
shape while slightly overlapping. I used foam tape for the largest cluster to
get that extra dimension.
This card could be perfect for Easter or Spring, but since I always need a lot of birthday cards, I wanted to show you that it is perfect for that occasion too! My sentiment (Tropical Birds) was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink on a small pink banner and placed in the top right corner. A few Pink Spinel Jewels are the perfect embellishment for this design.
I always enjoy creating with flowers and I hope you will love this set as much as I do! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!
