I'm happy to be kicking things off today with the Happy Home stamp set. To share a little bit about myself, I received my college degree in interior design which had strong ties to architecture & drafting so I have always loved home motifs. I wanted to design this set to include a number of popular American house styles. Unfortunately, I didn't have room to squeeze all my favorites onto a 4x6 sheet, but the Craftsman, Victorian, and Colonial were lucky enough to make the final cut. ;)
For my card I inked up my background using Stormy Sky & Bundled Sage distress inks, having them fade together towards the center.. I then repeatedly stamped the little grass border that comes with the set over that blended line and layered with the two houses and other accessories which had been colored with Copic markers and fussy cut with scissors.
Most of the sentiments in this set have been designed to interchange with the word "home". I like how this particular sentiment can be stamped in one straight line or stacked in a column depending on the space you have available to work with. :)
Here's a look at the full Happy Home stamp set used for today's card (available for purchase on September 8th):
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a great day! :)

ReplyDeleteLovely card. I tried to "Join this site with Google Friend Connect" but received the message "Sorry we were unable to handle your request"
ReplyDeleteThank you. As it turns out It won't allow me to follow either. I googled the problem and it sounds like the site has problems from time to time, but that you can get around the problem by following these steps:
DeleteCopy the URL (website address) that you want to follow.
Go to your blogger reading list. There is a icon for managing your reading list.
Click on the "add" button.
Paste the URL of the blog you want to follow. Then it will ask you to follow public or anonymously.
If you choose publicly, you will see that you now appear in the google connect feature.
I've tested it out just to be sure and I am now following my own blog. ;)
I did a little more research and found out I could switch to a completely different "widget" with better results so it is now working the traditional way. Thanks again for alerting me to the problem. :)
