Love & Light Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina and today I am featuring a card using the beautiful dove image from the Love & Light stamp and die set. 

The color palette for this project is kept very soft and pastel. I started by creating a white card base. Next I made a dry embossed panel using the Buffalo Plaid Folder for some elegant details in the background. This panel was cut with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Stripes die which gives a pretty stitched scalloped border to your card panel. 

The focal point of this card consists of two arched panels. I used the largest of the Stitched Arch dies to cut a beautiful teal flower paper from Flirty Flowers. A second arch was created from white card stock.

Smaller images like the dove and stars from the Love & Light stamp are perfect to make your own patterned background. I used a piece of scrap paper to figure out which layout would fit the best into the arch shape. All the coloring was done with Copic markers in soft shades of pink and teal. I added some details with a white gel pen.

Next, I stamped the stars onto the panel with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, the perfect match for the teals and pinks in this project. A few dots with a black marker provided a ‘splattering effect’.

I love the look of the two layered arches, but adding some greenery on both sides of the design really enhances the card. I die cut several small branches from the Winter Greenery Dies from shiny pink and white card stock from my stash. I love this die set so much; I use it a lot in my cards. For my sentiment I created the word ‘peace’ using the beautiful letter dies from the Chloe Alphabet and the same shiny pink card stock as some of the branches. I stacked three layers to give the letters lots of dimension.

Finally, I added a few Pure White Jewels as embellishments and that finishes the card! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Truckloads of Love Card with Marine

Hey crafty friends, Marine here with you today, I'm back with the mice family, and this time they're busy delivering presents and building a snow mouse. If you haven't seen their apple picking adventures yet, you can check it out right here. And among many stamp sets (listed down below) my card also features Truckloads Of Love which I've already used here and here.

I started off by creating a simple background on an A2 sized card base. For the sky I used a multicolor polka dot paper from the All Is bright 6x6 paper pack, and for the snowy part I used a subtle gingham grey paper from the Joyful Holiday 6x6 paper pack.

As very often, I went through my entire stamp collection to pick a bunch of stamps, stamped all the images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies, and then colored everything using my Graph'it brush markers + Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamps I picked to build my little scene:

I white heat embossed my "Driving by to wish you a merry Christmas" greeting from Truckloads Of Love on a pink banner, attached everything on my panel using 1mm foam squares and liquid glue, and finished my card with highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Dashing Dachshund Card with Gladys

Hi crafty friends, Gladys here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today with a set of holiday tags featuring the adorable Dashing Dachshund mini stamp set and dies.

To start, I used the Scalloped Tags Square die to cut from Bristol smooth cardstock. I placed washi tape along the dotted lines to keep the scallop edge white. Then I ink blended the background using tattered rose, picked raspberry, and seedless preserves distress oxide inks. To add more interest I splattered speckles of white paint and seedless preserves with a small paint brush.

Next, I stamped the images from the Dashing Dachshund stamp set. I colored them with copic markers then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I had fun using pattern paper for their sweater.

I stamped the sentiment directly on the tags making sure I had enough room for all the elements. I adhered the dachshund using double side foam tape for dimension. I used two different snowflake dies to cut from white cardstock and added sparkle with prisma glitter. I also added a bow using the stamps from Winter Wreaths stamp set. Finally, I attached twine to complete my tags.
