Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a card featuring Build-A-Bowl and Strawberry Patch dies.
For this card, I started by die-cutting the card base from dark blue cardstock. I also cut a small strip from light brown cardstock to create the ground for my little scene. I masked off the edges of the brown strip and stamped the floor, using Sprawling Surfaces stamp set and adhered it onto the blue background.
Next, I die-cut the bowl and the word “hello”, using Sydney Alphabet,
from matte gold cardstock. From white cardstock, I die-cut the fruit,
leaves, and blossoms from the Strawberry Patch die
set and I blended ink onto it.
To make the card even more fun, I
stamped two little monkeys from the Monkey Business stamp
set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers. I attached one monkey onto the bowl
as if it was hanging from it, while the second monkey was tucked between the
strawberries holding a strawberry in its hand.
After adhering all the elements
onto the card, I finished everything off by adding some dots alongside the
letters. I absolutely love how vibrant and playful the entire scene looks
against the dark blue background!
