Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Build-A-Bowl and fruit dies.

For my card I cut a top fold white base card. Cut the front of the card using the inner piece of the Frilly Frames Hexagon dies to create a see thru card. Ink Blending a panel using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. Splattered some water and green ink and glued the panel on the inside of the card.

Die cut the strawberries out of the Strawberry Patch Dies using green, pink, yellow, black and white cardstock. Ink Blended the strawberries using Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. Glued the strawberries together. For the front panel I Inked up the leaves using Forest Moss before glueing them to the front of the card.

Die cut the Build-A-Bowl Dies out of white cardstock and glued the strawberries on the back before glueing them to the card. Die cut the word sweet using the Sydney Alphabet dies and white cardstock. Glued it on the inside before stamping birthday out of the Birthday Cat Stamp.

Used Copic Colors:
Black - T6, T4, T2
Yellow - Y38, Y35, Y32
Wings - B02, B00, B000, 0

Heat set the other sentiment from the same Birthday Cat Stamp on some black cardstock and trimmed it down to a small banner. Stamped the bees out of Sweet As Can Bee stamp, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Sweet As Can Bee dies. Added them to the front of the card and finished off using some wink of stella clear glitter on to the wings.

Big Panda Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here sharing a card using the Big Panda set for a cute summer card!

For my A2 size card I started by trimming a piece of turquoise card stock from my stash to 5,5 x 4,25 to cover the front of the card base.

Using the largest of the Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies to die cut out the orange star patterned paper from the Surprise Party Paper pack. From white alcohol ink friendly card stock I die cut out the second largest of the Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies and Copic colored the sand and the sea (see list below) and ink blended the sky using light blue ink and adhered both panels to the card base.

Next, I stamped the panda and the various accessories from Big Panda Stamps on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

I stamped the Hello, also from the Big Panda Stamps set on a piece of white card stock and then die cut out the colored pieces and the Hello using the coordinating Big Panda Dies. To add a beachy, tropical vibe to the scene I die cut out one of the palm trees from the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die and colored it with my Copics, see list for colors used.

Next, I adhered the panda, the palm tree and the Hello die cut to the scene using liquid glue as well as the sunglasses! I tucked the coconut in between the paws! Lastly, I added foam dots to the back of the beach bag and the sun hat for dimension and adhered them to the scene.

Best Fishes Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a fun birthday tunnel shadow boxcard to share showcasing the Best Fishes set. I love dimensional cards and how they add an element of surprise for the recipient. So let’s get started.

I stamped the images from the Best Fishes Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Best Fishes Dies to diecut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the shadow boxcard design, I took one piece of white cardstock (4.25” x 11”), one piece of light teal cardstock (5.25” x 4.25”) and one piece of dark teal cardstock (4.25” x 4.25”). 

I started with the long white cardstock (4.25” x 11”) and used a score board to score at the 1”, 5.25”, 6.25” and 10.5” marks to create 5 panels of 1”, 4.25”, 1”, 4.25” and 0.5” widths. I used the second largest die from the Stitched Circle Small Dies to diecut a circle window in the center of the first 4.25” square panel (the one in between the two 1” panels). I folded at each of the score lines. 

Next, I took the light teal cardstock (5.25” x 4.25”) and scored at the 0.5” mark from each of the long ends to create 3 panels of 0.5”, 4.25” and 0.5” widths. I used the third largest die from the Stitched Circle Small Dies to diecut a circle window in the center of the 4.25” square panel. I folded at the two score lines. 

I took the opportunity to add some decoration around the circle window by stamping the water droplet stamp from the Best Fishes Stamps set with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink onto the white cardstock. 

To assemble the shadow boxcard, I folded the white cardstock into a box. I adhered the light teal layer along one of its side panels to one of the side panels of the white boxcard. Then I adhered the dark teal panel to the inside of the back panel of the boxcard. I found it easiest to decorate the inside elements of the boxcard at this stage before I closed off the boxcard. Once I finished with the decoration, I adhered the final panels.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “best fishes” sentiment from the Best Fishes Stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used a paper trimmer to trim out the sentiment. 

I finished adhering the colored images and sentiment to the outer part of the boxcard with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The final dimensions of the 3D shadow boxcard is 4.25” x 4.25” x 1”. I love that it can be flattened to fit into a standard A2 envelope for easy mailing.

Background Basics 2 Gift Tags with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing cute baby gift tags featuring Background Basics 2 stamp set.

For these tags, I started by die-cutting the base of the tags from light beige cardstock using the Build-A-Tag 1 die set. To add a little warmth and dimension, I softly blended some light brown ink along the bottom of each tag.

Next, I die-cut the top and bottom tag layers from light brown, light blue, and light pink cardstock. On these pieces, I stamped a pattern using the Background Basics 2 stamp set. I absolutely love how this background stamp creates your own custom pattern paper! After stamping, I adhered the colored pieces onto the beige tag bases.

From the same beige cardstock, I also die-cut the rings from the same Tag die set and adhered them around the tag holes for an extra finished detail.

After that, I stamped the adorable images from the Bundle of Joy stamp set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers. Once finished, I adhered the images onto the tags. To complete the tags, I stamped the sentiments with light brown ink and added ribbons through the top of each tag.

I really love how soft, sweet, and playful these baby gift tags turned out! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.
