Hedgey Holidays Card with Jarle

Hi friends, Jarle here. I am excited to be back on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog with my weekly card. Today, I am featuring the cute Hedgey Holidays stamp set. 

I started by trimming a panel of white cardstock to 5 by 3,75. because I already knew I wanted a white border around my card. I die cut the Staggered Circles die set out of that card panel. 

Then it was time for some stamping and coloring. I stamped the images from the Hedgey Holidays stamp set a few times on Transotype Perfect Coloring paper with black Copic-friendly ink. I colored everything with my Copics. Of course, I used the coordinating dies to cut out all the images. I put my images on the white panel for placement and stamped my sentiment from the same Hedgey Holidays set.

These are the color combinations I used: 
- E33 - E31 - E30 
- E47 - E35 - E33 - E31 
- R85 - R83 - R81 
- G17 - G02 - G00 
- N0 - C00 - 0 

I trimmed a piece of (pink!) patterned paper out of the All is Bright 6x6 paper pad to the same size as the white card panel (so 5 by 3,75). I put some foam squares on the back of the white panel, because I really wanted to create some dimension. I placed it down onto the patterned paper. After that I adhered all my images on the card panel. I folded an A2 sized card base and put my whole card panel on top, leaving that little white border all around. 

I love that you can create a CAS card with just a little mini stamp set. Have a beautiful day!

Nativity Scene Builder Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here Today I'm sharing a fun and festive Christmas card featuring these adorable Roly Poly Penguins.

For the background, I started by cutting a card panel from brown cardstock. I then used the Nativity Scene Builder Dies Set to cut the nativity stable and the stars directly from this panel.

Next, I lightly blended the edges with brown ink to add a little extra depth and dimension. I adhered the panel, along with the golden stars, to my card base and I added splatters of both gold and white paint across the background.

Then it was time for the cutest part! I stamped the adorable Roly Poly Penguins and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I colored these sweet little characters with my Ohuhu markers.

Once everything was colored, I adhered the penguins to the bottom of my card, creating a sweet little scene beneath the nativity stable. To finish everything off, I stamped the sentiment "Noël" from the Classy Christmas Stamp Set.

Sleigh Ride Surprise Card with Yan

Hey crafty friends! It's Yan here, and today I'm sharing a lovely Christmas card featuring the Sleigh Ride Surprise Dies. From the charming holiday sleigh and gifts to the cozy winter scenery, this set is an absolute dream to craft with. Let's craft together! 

​First, I used the Sleigh Ride Surprise Dies to die-cut all the adorable holiday elements. To bring the scene to life, I played with a variety of colorful cardstocks—die-cutting the cute sleigh in a soft pink, the pine trees in fresh shades of green, and the festive presents in vibrant hues of yellow and orange.  

Next, for the sentiment, I stamped 'Happy Holidays' from the Holiday Greetings Stamps onto a piece of vellum and heat embossed it in gold for a gorgeous, festive shine.

​To create the card background, I ink-blended a dreamy mix of Distress Oxides using Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, and Dusty Concord to capture a magical winter night sky. Once the ink was completely dry, I added delicate falling snowflakes across the scene using a white gel pen to create a soft, cozy holiday feel.

To bring everything together, I layered and assembled all the colorful die-cut pieces and the vellum sentiment onto the snowy blue-and-purple background, using foam tape for some fun dimension and depth. ​

And there you have it! A cheerful holiday card that's guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone's face. Happy crafting, everyone!

Alpine Adventure Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina, and I am so thrilled to make a card with the stunning Alpine Adventure stamp and die set. I just love this beautiful scene and, of course, the cute critters! 

To get the most of my scene on display, I opted for a square card base. Next, I created a white panel with the largest of the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies. I stamped my scene with black ink and pulled my Copics for some relaxed coloring. I went with a pink-teal combo, which is so fun for those cold winter scenes!

Since there is already a lot going on, I kept the sky portion white so my sentiment wouldn’t get lost in too much detail. For extra texture, I added details with a white gel pen and frosty bling with some glitter gel. After coloring three critters, I decided that I would go with the cute bear; he will be the star of the show! 

The large Season’s Greetings was taken from the Holiday Greetings set and stamped in a pale green ink from my stash. I finished this card by sprinkling a few Champagne Clear Jewels around the sentiment.

Lazy Christmas Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Lazy Christmas.

Cut two white scalloped squares using the Scalloped Square 1 Small Dies are the base of the card. Cut a kraft square and stamped the woodgrain background onto it. Die cut it using the same Scallop die and inked up the sides using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. Splattered some water and white paint.

Out of two different colors of green cardstock I cut the small leaves of the Winter Greenery Dies. Inked them up using Mowed Lawn and adhered them into two different wreaths. Splattered some Rustic Wilderness and adhered them on the front of the card onto each other. Die cut some berries using the same Winter Greenery dies and finished the wreath by adding some clear sequins.

Used Copic Colors:
Sloth - E57, E55, E53, E51, E50 / N8, N6, N4
Red - R59, R39, R27, R24
White - C5, C3, C1

Stamped the images out of Lazy Christmas, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Lazy Christmas dies. Heat set the sentiments on some red cardstock and trimmed them to banners.

Winter Wreaths Card with Tina M

Hi Crafty Friends! Tina M here! Today I have a sweet Christmas card to share with you, using the colors white, red and turquoise, featuring the Winter Wreaths and the Roly Poly Penguins sets!

I started off by trimming a piece of the red/white checkered paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper pack to 4,25 x 5,5 inches and adhered it to my A2-size card base.

Next, from a piece of white cardstock, I die-cut the second-largest Rounded Rectangle Mat Die. I placed it in the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and ran it through my die-cutting machine again to create a beautiful woodgrain texture, then adhered it to the red/white checkered paper using double-sided tape.

I then stamped the wreath, the bow, poinsettias and berries from the Winter Wreaths Stamps set using turquoise and different shades of red ink and Merry Christmas from the Holiday Greetings Stamps set.

I stamped one of the penguins from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps set using Memento Desert Sand ink on alcohol-ink-friendly card stock to create a no-line coloring image. I then colored the penguin with Copic markers, see list below:

Penguin: N0/1/3/4/5/6, R01/02, YR21/24/27,
Santa's hat: W0/1/3, R21/22/24/27

Next, I die-cut the ink-blended and colored pieces using the coordinating Winter Wreaths Dies set, the Roly Poly Penguins Dies set, and the Holiday Greetings Dies set. I glued the penguin to the center of the wreath using liquid glue, added foam dots to the back of the die-cut pieces, arranged my scene, and adhered them to the woodgrain panel.

Alpine Adventure Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I am sharing a fun Christmas card featuring these adorable bear and penguin friends from the Alpine Adventure set. This amazing stamp and die set includes a huge background scene, a super cute polar bear and several penguins to choose from and some perfectly matched sentiments including this beautiful “Winter Wishes” sentiment with coordinating die. So, let’s get started.

I stamped the critter images and the background (twice) from the Alpine Adventure Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Alpine Adventure Dies to die cut out the critters. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the layout, I used the largest die from the Stitched Circle Small Dies to die cut the colored background image. I used the largest die from the Stitched Circle Large Dies to die cut a circle out of red cardstock. I adhered the two circles to each other. I added craft foam to the back of the circle panel before adhering it to the uncolored panel that I trimmed down to a 5.25” square. I matted with a piece of red cardstock. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the beautiful “Winter” and "Wishes” from the same stamp set with Versafine Red Satin ink onto a piece of white cardstock. I used the coordinating die to die cut them out.

I adhered the colored images and sentiment to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white square card base (5.5”).
