Guest Designer Spotlight: Summer Cards with Isha Gupta

I'm so excited to welcome the talented Isha Gupta to the blog today as our special guest!  I love her fun style and all the amazing cards she is sharing with our Fresh & Fruity and Tropical Paradise stamps today.  Take it away Isha...

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Paradise Fruity Drink Summer Card by Isha Gupta.

Hi there!  For my first card I created the background using a stencil as a stamp. For my images I used the awesome “Tropical Paradise” stamp set. I embossed the images using gold embossing powder and colored them using my Zig markers. I arranged them using a die-cut circle frame. To create some depth, I used 3D foam for various heights.

My second card also uses the stamps from the “Tropical Paradise” stamp set. I created a sunset background using my distress inks. I then stamped the Flamingos and colored them using my Zig markers. To create the scene, I used a vellum circle frame. I stamped and embossed the flowers onto vellum. Once I positioned the flamingos, I adhered the flowers to ground them.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fresh & Fruity Thanks A Bunch Fruit Themed Thank You Card by Isha Gupta.

I created my third card using all the yummy fruits from the “Fresh & Fruity” stamp set. I created a background strip using vellum. I stamped the images using memento black ink and colored them using copic markers and fussy cut them out. I then stamped the sentiment onto the vellum background using StazOn ink. Finally I adhered the fruits using 3d foam in various thickness for added dimension. To finish, I added glossy accents on some parts of the fruits.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fresh & Fruity Thanks A Melon Watermelon Card by Isha Gupta.

For my last card I started with creating the background by stamping the watermelon onto the watercolor paper. I colored it using damp brush and some distress ink. I then cut this panel using the Fishtail Banner die. I then sponged some red inks onto a piece of cardstock, flicked some water and white paint. I tied some black twine around the melon panel and adhered it to the base using 3D foam. I then stamped and embossed part of the sentiment onto black cardstock and cut it in a strip. I stamped the word “melon” using red ink and fussy cut it. Finally adhered the sentiment onto the card and adhered some sequins to finish off.

I hope you like my creations as much as I enjoyed creating them! Thank you Mendi for having me as a guest on the blog totally. It was total fun to use your awesome products.
