Afternoon Tea Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a cozy card featuring the Aftenoon Tea stamp set.  

This time I created a fun little scene card using the masking technique, although you could absolutely recreate this scene with the coordinating dies as well. Before I started stamping, I placed all the stamps onto the card panel first to get an idea of where I wanted everything to go.

When stamping, I carefully paid attention to the stamping order, because honestly, that still goes wrong for me sometimes. For this card I used the Afternoon Tea and the Foxy Friends stamp sets.

Once the images were finished, I started working on the background. First, I stamped the floor using the Sprawling Surfaces stamp and brown ink. Originally, I made the rest of the background completely grey, but I felt it looked a little too plain. So I decided to stamp the Background Basic 2 stamp over it using the same grey ink. I absolutely love how subtle, yet playful, the background turned out.

After finishing the background, I removed all the masking paper and colored the images with my Ohuhu markers. I also added some extra shading on the floor using a brown marker to create more depth and dimension.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Afternoon Tea stamp set and added a few highlights with a white gel pen. Finally, I mounted the colored card onto blue cardstock and adhered everything to a white card base.

Bundle Of Joy Card with Yan

Hello all, Yan here! Today I’m sharing a soft and sweet baby card featuring the adorable Bundle of Joy Stamp Set. This set is perfect for creating heartfelt handmade cards to celebrate a precious new arrival.

To begin, stamp the images from the Bundle of Joy Stamp Set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color the images with Copic markers, then use the coordinating Bundle of Joy Dies to cut them out neatly.

COPIC COLOR:
Flying Stork : BG0000, B12, E31, E35, E41, E43, E44, R30, W1, W4, Y15
Baby Bodysuit : B12, BG0000, BG10, E31, E35, E41, E43, R30, R32, Y00, Y11, Y15

Next, softly blend Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass onto another piece of white cardstock to create a gentle background that complements the baby theme. Then, use the Radiating Circle Dies to die cut a circle from vellum paper, adding a soft layered detail to the card design.

Finally, stamp the sentiment directly onto the card and assemble all the elements using foam tape to create dimension and complete the project.

This soft color combination and layered design create a sweet and delicate look that works perfectly for welcoming a new baby. I hope this project inspires your next handmade baby card.

Feeling Froggy Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, Tina here and you know I absolutely love a cute critter! Today, I made a card with the adorable Feeling Froggy stamp and die set.

Of course this frog needed a beautiful pond to live in and browsing through my stash I found the perfect one in the Country Scenes bundle. I love that I can die cut this pond, it makes creating the whole landscape so much easier. 

The shape of the pond also made me decide to go for an oval focal point. I cut two ovals from white card stock with the largest of the Stitched Ovals. One was used to stamp the pond, which I then colored with my copics (plants) and a stencil with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg for the water. I used the matching die to cut out this border. My other white oval was turned into a pale sky, using a stencil and the same Distress Oxide ink.

I always like a nice scalloped frame so I glued both oval pieces to a white Scalloped Oval Mat 1 with liquid glue. The birthday boy today is the cute frog from Feeling Froggy, I also stamped and colored a dragonfly, a birthday hat (Foxy Friends) and a lily pad with lotus flower (Country Scenes). My white card base felt a bit plain so I added a striped pattern with a stencil and Distress Oxides Peeled Paint and Pine Needles.

I wanted a bold sentiment and went with the Happy Birthday one from Party Pets, which I stamped in a pink ink and die cut with the matching die. After adding all the elements to the scene, I simply sprinkled a few Iridescent Jewels. This frog is ready to party!

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today, I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Jungle Vines Dies.

 

For my card, I decided to create a Mother's Day card. So I cut a white top-fold card base and adhered a Kraft base rectangle onto it. Die-cut the Frilly Frames Hexagon outer die from white cardstock, and cut a watercolor rectangle slightly smaller. I ink-blended the background using Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron. I added the hearts using a stencil and the same ink colors.

 

Out of Kraft and two different green colors, I cut the Jungle Vines Dies. I ink-blended the branch and leaves using Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Rustic Wilderness Distress inks. I then adhered them together and placed them on the top and bottom of the card. I heat-embossed the sentiments from the Afternoon Tea Stamps and Love Monkey Stamps. I cut the sentiments by hand and paired the Mother's Day greeting with the matching Afternoon Tea Dies.

Finally, I stamped the images of Love Monkey, Fabulous Flamingo, and Monkey Business Stamps. I colored them with my Copic markers, cut them by hand, and used the matching Monkey Business Dies.

Monkey Business Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a fun card created with the Monkey Business set from the new Summer Release!

I started by stamping all the monkeys and bananas I wanted to feature on my card from the Monkey Business Stamps set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol ink friendly card stock and used the coordinating Monkey Business Dies to die cut them out and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

Copic colors used:
Monkeys: E08/09/97, E000/01/11/13, R30/32
Bananas: YR20/21/23/24, E40/41, N4/5/6

For my card I used an A2 size card base, I added a piece of turquoise polka dot paper from the Polka-Dot Parade Paper pack to cover the card base, using double sided tape.

I then trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 5 x 3,75 inches and ink blended the panel using pink ink and then splattered black acrylic paint on top. I then trimmed a slightly larger black panel to go behind my ink blended panel and adhered them to the card base, using double sided tape.

Next, die cut several leafy pieces from the Jungle Vines Dies set from white cardstock and ink blended them using green and pink ink. For the sentiment I stamped the “Hope your day is chimply the best” from the Monkey Business Stamps set.

I added foam dots to the back of the monkeys and the pink monstera leaves for dimension, I arranged the monkeys on top of each other and tucked the pink and green leaves behind them, using liquid glue on the back of the green leaves. To finish the card off I adhered three small bananas to my scene!
