Let's Chill Card with Leanne: Black Friday Exclusive!

Hi everyone! Leanne here and I'm sharing a fun shaker card today. My card features some adorable images from the Black Friday gift with purchase exclusive stamp set, Let's Chill. I pulled out some older stamp and die sets along with the Let's Chill set to create this little winter scene and shaker window. All are listed below with a description of how they were used. 

Let's Chill Stamp Set & coordinating dies - For the seal and heart images plus "let's chill" sentiment

Lovey Dovey Stamp Set & coordinating dies - For the "you're my favorite" sentiment

Stitched Arch Die - I used the largest die in the set to create the shaker window. 

Joyful Holiday Paper Pack - The colorful polka dot pattern paper made a fun frame for my scene. 

I created the shaker part in the tradition way by adhering a piece of clear acetate behind the frame for the window and building a shaker well with thick foam tape strips. I filled the shaker with some iridescent heart confetti and snowflake sequins. 

Copics: R00, R30, RV11, RV13, T0, T2, C0, C1, C3, C5

I Copic colored the stamped images (colors used listed above). I created a little snow bank for the seals sit on with the same Stitched Arch Die used for the shaker window. I stamped "let's chill" onto the snow bank. I added the seals, hearts, and "you're my favorite" with thin foam squares so they would be popped up a bit. Lastly I adhered my completed shaker scene to an A2 size card base.

Let's Chill Card with Hanh: Black Friday Exclusive!

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a clean and simple card featuring the exclusive new Let's Chill Stamp and Dies, which aren't available for purchase this year but can be received as a FREE gift with a $50+ purchase for a limited time only! I stamped the images from the Let's Chill Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Let's Chill Dies to diecut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the layout, I diecut a piece of white cardstock using the larger die from the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies set. I adhered the entire panel onto the front of a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5"). 

The Forest Trees Stencils and some Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks were used to create the background on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I started by lightly ink blending the sky on the upper edge of the cardstock. I placed the first layer of the stencil and very lightly ink blended the Tumbled Glass with a blending brush. Next, I placed the second layer of the stencil and ink blended again with the Tumbled Glass but with a slightly heavier hand. Finally, I placed the third stencil and lightly ink blended with the Salty Ocean ink.

Once the ink was dry, I diecut the panel with the larger die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies set. I used the same die to diecut a white panel out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. One of the slope dies from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies was used to diecut the white panel in half. I used the colored images to layout my scene and decide on the placement of one of the sentiments from the set. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the white half panel with the same Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered the half panel onto the inked panel before adhering the entire panel to the scalloped edge panel and card base.

I adhered the colored images onto the card front with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I finished the card with a few snowflakes diecut from white cardstock using the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2.

Let's Chill Cards with Mendi: Black Friday Exclusive!

Hello & welcome!  I'm excited to be kicking off the Sunny Studio Black Friday week of fun with several card ideas featuring our new little Let's Chill Stamps and Dies which aren't available for purchase this year but can be received as a free gift with a $50+ purchase starting today through Monday, December 2 (see below for full promotion details). 

Card No. 1: For my first card, I started by creating a patchwork background using the stitched strip die from our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies, cutting prints from our Joyful Holiday Paper, Striped Silly Paper, and Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper. I layered the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 Dies with the Stitched Oval Dies, which were cut from Gingham Pastels Paper to frame the seals from the Lets Chill Stamps. I stamped the sentiment from the new mini stamps onto one of the layering pieces from our Brilliant Banner 2 Dies, trimming the ends with our Fishtail Banner Dies. Finally, I added a sprinkle of snowflakes topped with Aquamarine Jewels. One of these snowflakes is a free gift with purchase right now, while the other two can be found in our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies and Basic Mini Shape 5 Dies.

Card No. 2: For my next card of the day using the new Let's Chill Stamps, I paired the seals with the kids from our Toasty Hugs Stamps, the iceblock and igloo from our Winter Scenes Stamps, and the fish from our Penguin Pals Stamps. To create my snow drifts and the pond, I used the stitched slope die from our Slimline Nature Border Dies set.

It's difficult to tell in this photo, but I slipped a piece of pale blue vellum over the fish to make it look like they are swimming under the water. With this in mind, I added a thin strip of striped paper from our Subtle Grey Tones Paper pack to make it easier to hide my adhesive above and below with no visible glue lines. I finished my scene by stamping the mini snowflakes from Let's Chill and the mini hearts from Toasty Hugs in the sky and added a little pennant with my heat embossed greeting using our Stitched Rectangle Dies and a lavender print from our Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper pack.

Card No. 3: For my last card today, using the Let's Chill Stamps, I started by embossing a piece of white cardstock using our Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Dies. Then, using a stencil spray, I inked the piece with a gingham print using our Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils and Picked Raspberry Distress ink. To frame my seal couple, I cut rectangular mats from white and aqua cardstock in two sizes using our Stitched Rectangle Dies and our Mini Mat & Tag 3 Dies. I added the small snowdrift behind them using our Slimline Nature Border Dies and inking the sky with Peacock Feathers Distress ink. Lastly, I stamped a greeting from our Penguin Party Stamps and added hearts from our Toasty Hugs Stamps.

Snowmen in Sweaters Card with Nicky

Well hello there this is Nicky with you again today and I've got a lovely wintery card to share with you, featuring Snowmen In Sweaters. Please read on for all the details.

I started by die cutting the scalloped card base using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Die. I then used my paper trimmer to create a perfect sized panel to fit within the scalloped edge. I ink blended that panel using Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink and faded it away to nothing the lower down the width of the panel I got. I then stamped in some of the fir tree images from the Snowmen In Sweaters stamp set using Memento Ink in Fog.

I stamped the images from Snowmen In Sweaters together with the sentiment. I coloured the snowmen with the following Copic marker combinations:

Snowmen Bodies - BG10, BG70, C3, C1
Snowmen Noses - YR09, YR04
Snowmen Blushes - R22, R20, R00
Grey - W6, W5, W4, W3, W0
Brown - E77, E44, E43
Black - T9
Chestnut Brown - E18, E39, E37, E55
Golden Brown - YR27, YR24, YR23

I die cut each image with the coordinating Snowmen In Sweaters Die and applied them to the background panel. I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and attached the whole panel to a card base. To finish things up I created a bit of a blizzard by dipping a stylus into Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White acrylic paint. I love this product as it gives you dimensional snow exactly where you want it, no dangerous spattering!!!
