Mug Hugs Reindeer Hot Cocoa Card with Vanessa

Hi! Vanessa here with a fun shaker card using Mug Hugs with various other sets! I like to dress up those fun mug images of the set. Here I used Christmas Icons to create a Christmas mug.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Mug Hugs & Christmas Icons Reindeer Hot Cocoa Card by Vanessa Menhorn.

I can't help but use plaid patterned paper for Christmas cards!  Here I die-cut a circle window from the panel of patterned paper, adhered a piece of clear cardstock behind it and backed it with fun foam. Then I filled the window with sequins and die-cut stars (using the star border die) and adhered the shaker element to the white card base.

I stamped the "Christmas" and adhered the "merry" that I had die-cut from pink cardstock. Now I stamped the mug and the reindeer head, colored it with Copics and die-cut it with the matching die. Finally, I adhered the mug to the top of my shaker window.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!

Holiday Style: Creating A Whole New Look with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today sharing a fun card using the new Holiday Style stamp set. I have never really been someone who was drawn to layering stamp sets, but now that I have tried them, I really enjoy working with them. Plus, it gives me an opportunity to use my fun colored dye inks! Let's get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Holiday Style Ornament Christmas Card by Lindsey Sams (using Merry Sentiments and Smiley Faces from Fresh & Fruity).

To begin this card, I started with a scalloped rectangle cut from some plaid holiday paper. The rectangle is slightly smaller than an A2 size card base. Next, I cut a smaller stitched rectangle from some Kraft cardstock. This is the layer I planned to do my stamping on. I chose to use the pine branch and the ornament. I stamped the pine branch several times across the top of my rectangle, and then decided where I wanted to stamp each ornament. Once I had the ornaments stamped, I added their metal topper and hook. I love how all the layers make the ornament pop off the paper.

Then, I decided to give my ornaments a face using the little faces that came with the Fresh & Fruity stamp set. The faces gave the card a more playful look which I liked. Finally, I stamped my sentiment from the Merry Sentiments stamp set, and put my Kraft panel onto my plaid rectangle using some foam tape.

I hope I've inspired you to give this set a try, even if you aren't normally a layering stamp kind of crafter. It's fun, believe me! Keep checking back to the blog for more inspiration and have a great day!

Blissful Baking & Little Angels Card with Video by Emily

Sunny Studio Stamps: Little Angels & Blissful Baking Sweet Christmas Card by Emily Leiphart.

I'm so excited to share my first video for Sunny Studio Stamps!  I'm featuring the Blissful Baking stamp set and coordinating dies but I also used Little Angels to deliver the treats and the Tag Topper Crescent Die Set to sponge my first ever billowy cloud sky.

View the video down below or on YouTube HERE.

I sparkled up the angels' halos and wings, and, of course, the cookies with a glitter pen. I purposely die cut three extra cookies to look as if they're falling off the tray towards the recipient. It's the reverse effect of the Star Wars opening crawl.

Gleeful Reindeer Moonlight Scene by Eloise

Hello everyone, Eloise here and today I'm here to show you a card using the Gleeful Reindeer set. These reindeers are so super adorable and I loved making this moonlight scene with them all on this card today.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Gleeful Reindeer Moonlight Scene Holiday Christmas Card by Eloise Blue.

To begin my card today I stamped, coloured and die cut all my images out from the Gleeful Reindeer set. I then got to work on my background. I first die cut a circle out of some masking paper and put that down onto my watercolour cardstock to protect it, since it's going to be a moon later on. I used various colours of Distress Inks to create my night sky background. I then used the negative piece of the masking paper and protected the night sky, while I worked on the moon, I used Distress Inks for this too. Once my background was done I used some white mist, water and shimmer watercolour to splatter the background, to make it look more starry.

Once the background was all done and dry I could work on assembling my scene together. I die cut two snow hills - but you could just use your scissors to cut a border like this and then adhered those onto my scene. I then took all my previously coloured and cut images and arranged them on my scene too, using various adhesives. To finish up my card I white heat embossed my sentiment on some red cardstock and cut it to a banner strip, added my entire scene onto a black card base and then added a little wink of stella to my images too, this wink of stella I used was so juicy that it sort of spurted out everywhere on my images, but hopefully it looks okay!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and check back the rest of the week for more inspiration!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Christmas Cards with Kimberly Rendino

I'm so excited to welcome Kimberly Rendino to the blog today as our special guest.  She has some gorgeous cards that are going to knock your socks off!  Take it away Kimberly...

Hi there!  I’ve created three cards to share with you today using Holiday Style, Merry Sentiments and the coordinating dies!

My first card is completely heat embossed!   To create the fun snowy effect on the pine bough, I mixed together a bit of clear and white embossing powder.   The shadow of the silver ornament was heat embossed with sparkle embossing powder.

For my second card I used the pine bough from Holiday Style to create a wreath.   The little berries were stamped with the Autumn Splendor stamp set, and coated with Glossy Accents.   I added the white accent on top of the Glossy Accents with a paint pen!

The third card showcases the fun light bulbs in the Merry Sentiments set.   I began by embossing the light bulb die into a piece of white cardstock repeatedly.   This is a great way to get more mileage from your dies!   I stamped and die cut a rainbow of light bulbs and coated them with Glossy Accents.   Once dry, I added them to a “cord” made of embroidery floss.   A coat of Wink of Stella glitter marker makes the ‘Merry’ sentiment sparkle.
