Penguin Pair Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am thrilled to share a birthday card featuring the new and absolutely adorable Penguin Pair set from the Spring 2026 Release! If you are at all familiar with the cards that I make, then you would have probably noticed that I LOVE penguins! And this Penguin Pair set has stolen my heart! It’s a small set (so it’s available at a great price point) with so many possibilities. And I love that it pairs perfectly with the previously released Roly Poly Penguins. So let’s get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Pair Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Roly Poly Penguins, Frilly Frame Polka-Dot Dies)

I stamped the penguins, clothes and bow images from the Penguin Pair Stamp, the balloons and present images from the Party Pets Stamp and the envelope from the Snail Mail Stamp sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Penguin Pair DiesParty Pets Dies and Snail Mail Dies to diecut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Penguins: T4/5/6/7, W00/0/1, R000/20, Y38 YR04
Pink: RV10/21/13/14/25
White: C1

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Party Pets Stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used Party Pets Dies to die cut it out.

For the background, I used the Frilly Frames Polka-Dot Dies to die cut a panel out of a white cardstock. I masked off the bottom portion and edges and lightly ink blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink. I added some dots with a Copic marker (RV21). A piece of craft foam was adhered to the back of the panel before it was adhered to a piece of pink cardstock.

I adhered the colored images and sentiment to the panel with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape for dimension and interest. The card front was adhered to an A2 white card base (4.25" x 5.5").

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. For more info and ideas, be sure to visit the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Quill Cuties Cards with Samantha Pfrimmer

Hi everyone!  It’s Samantha here so excited to be joining Sunny Studio as a guest this month. Today I am showcasing two cute cards featuring the adorable new Quill Cuties Stamp Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Quill Cuties Love Themed Card by Samantha Pfimmer (featuring Icing Rectangle Frame Dies)

For my first card, I went with a Valentine’s Day theme and I stamped three of the adorable hedgehogs from the Quill Cuties Stamp Set along with the little heart headband onto OLO Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored each of my hedgies using Copic markers before cutting the images out with the coordinating Quill Cuties Dies.

I wanted to showcase each of these three hedgies using the new Icing Rectangle Frames. I cut three of the smallest frames using a dark red glitter card stock and also cut out an additional 3 frames from 110lb Neenah White.

Next, I took a red heart sheet of pattern paper from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper and cut it to 4” x 5.25” before mounting it to a folding white A2-sized card base. I stacked my red glitter frames on top of the white frames cut from Neenah for added dimension and carefully arranged them on my red heart pattern paper panel. I then added the white negative cuts into the center of each frame before adding on my hedgies with a little foam tape.

To finish everything off I die cut a “Be Mine” sentiment from the Gift Card Envelope Die Set out of white glitter card stock and my valentine was complete.

For my second card, I had to showcase the hedgehog in the bathtub. He is irresistible! I took a blue heart sheet of pattern paper from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper and cut it to 4.25” x 3.75.” I adhered the paper to an A2 sized card panel cut from OLO Blending Cardstock making sure the pattern paper lined up with the bottom edge of the card panel.

Next, I stamped the bathtub image along with some of the bubbles and the rubber duck stamp onto the top right of the main card panel as shown, and then stamped the soap and shampoo bottle onto another piece of OLO Blending Cardstock all using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored each of my images using Copic markers before cutting out the soap and shampoo bottle with the coordinating Quill Cuties Dies. It doesn’t show well in photos, but I also added a little Zig Wink of Stella glitter pen to the bubbles for a little extra sparkle.

To finish everything off, I stamped the “Quill You Be Mine” sentiment from the Quill Cuties Stamp Set directly onto the card panel before adding the entire panel to a folding white, A2-sized card base. To finish things off, I adhered the soap and shampoo bottle with a little foam tape and my second card was complete.

I hope you enjoyed my projects and thank you so much for reading!

Quill Cuties Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here and today I am excited to share this adorable shaker card featuring the Quill Cuties stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Quill Cuties Love Themed Shaker Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Comic Strip Everyday Dies)

I started by die-cutting the Comic Strip Everyday die: once from light brown cardstock and six times from white cardstock. I stacked and glued the six white die-cuts together to create a nice thick layer, perfect for building the shaker element.

For the background, I die-cut the tulips from the Majestic Meadow stamp set to create a cheerful base on the background. Next, I stamped and die-cut the adorable hedgehogs from the new Quill Cuties stamp set. I wanted to give the card a more Valentine-inspired feel, so I added the heart balloons from the Party Pets stamp set. To finish the scene, I included some extra images like the bouquet of tulips from the Big Bunny stamp set, little birds from Foxy Friends stamp set, and grass from the Bunnyville stamp set.

After coloring everything with my Ohuhu markers and adding a few white highlights with a white gel pen, it was time to assemble the card. And voilà, the shaker card was finished and ready to spread some love!

Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.

Baked With Love Card with Yan

Hello everyone! Yan here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Sunny Studio Blog today, sharing a project that’s warm, cozy, and sprinkled with sweetness!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baked With Love Card by Yan X DIY

The Baked with Love Stamp Set is one of those collections that instantly makes you smile — full of adorable baking elements and heartfelt charm. I couldn’t resist creating a card that feels just like a homemade treat fresh from the oven!

First, I stamped the cookie sheet, icing bag, and a few heart cookies images with VersaFine Clair Ink-Pinecone on watercolor paper. Then I had so much fun adding color with watercolors, giving each piece a warm, baked-with-love look — just like fresh cookies out of the oven! Once everything was completely dry, I used the Baked with Love Dies to cut them out perfectly — crisp, clean, and ready to bake up some crafty fun!

Next, it was time to work on the background! I decided to try a no-line coloring look, so I stamped the background image on watercolor paper using Rocky Slope ink — perfect for keeping the lines soft and subtle. For my color palette, I went with purples, reds, and oranges to create a warm and cozy feeling — just like the sweetness that comes from something baked with love.

Once all the watercoloring was completely dry, I used foam tape to layer and assemble all the pieces together — bringing the scene to life, as shown in the photo.

That’s all for my card today! I truly enjoyed creating this sweet little scene, and I hope it inspires you to add a bit of handmade warmth to your next project.

Vintage Valentine Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and with Valentine approaching I am making a love themed card! The special twist today is that I am using very cute products, namely the Vintage Valentine stamp and die set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Vintage Valentine Cat Themed Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Cat Antics)

These images remind me of my youth and the fun days as a kid growing up. We owned a phone and a typewriter just like these. In fact, I still have a typewriter in my home as vintage decor! But I digress, back to the card where I started with a white rectangle card base.

To match the cool tones of the devices, I used one of my favourite neutral paper pads (Subtle Grey Tones). I selected two patterns and cut them with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Chevron setI love how these panels bring interest to the project without distracting from the main scene. I layered them and added both pieces to the base with liquid glue.

I stamped all the images from the Vintage Valentine set and used a mainly grey, red and blue Copic color palette. The kittens from Cat Antics were the perfect critters to bring some playfulness to the scene. I tried to color each cat slightly different to give them their own personality.

Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments from the the Vintage Valentine stamp on the sheet of paper placed into the typewriter. To make it stand out a bit more I used a red ink from my stash. I finished the card by adding a few Champagne Clear Jewels to the panel.

It was so much fun using these vintage images in a project, I hope to see your cards with this sweet set very soon!! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!
