Outback Critters Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and I am super excited to create a fun birthday card featuring the Outback Critters stamp and die set! How sweet are these cuties! I love critters and these ones are just the best (that baby!)

The Blooming Frame die combined with a green paper from Flirty Flowers is the perfect background to set the scene for these animals. I glued this piece to a white card base to create a light and airy effect.

After selecting 5 cute images (Outback Critters stamp) I started coloring with my trusty Copics. I used extra vibrant colors for the parrots since the other images were merely in brown tones. To add even more contrast, I cut the large Wishes Word die three times from white card stock but added a red ombre with my markers.

Next, I stamped the ‘Warmest’ sentiment (Words Of Gratitude) onto the background panel with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I played around with placement of the animals until I was happy with the result. After adding a few Champagne clear Jewels this sweet project was ready!

Summer Jar Mug Card with Amanda

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda back here on the Sunny Studio Blog today! Thanks for coming by and getting crafty with me! Today, I am sharing this Summer Vibes card! I cannot WAIT for summer to get here, how about you!?

To create this card, I trimmed a piece of the bright and cheery Summer Splash Paper to 4”x5.25”. I glued this paper to an A2 card base. Next, I cut out the largest of the Stitched Arch Dies in white cardstock. I ink blended a very small amount of Catherine Pooler Melon Ice ink in the center of the arch. I applied some 3D foam strips behind the arch and then adhered it to my card front.

I die cut the Fresh Lemon Dies and the Summer Jar Mug Dies out of white cardstock. First, I used some Glossy Accent on the 3 little ice cubes to make them look like real cubes! I set those aside, as they will take some time to dry.

Next, I ink blended some of the Catherine Pooler Pebble ink on the jar mug front piece. On the back piece of the jar mug, I ink blended a bit of Chiffon ink towards the bottom. For the lemons, I ink blended Chiffon and Limoncello inks to get a 3D look to them. For the straw and umbrella, I used Melon Ice ink. Then, on the umbrella, I also created dimension using some green Copic markers.

I put 3D foam squares behind the mug and lemon and then attached it to my arch. I used glue to adhere the straw, ice cubes, lemon wedges and umbrella.

I stamped the “Summer Vibes” sentiment stamps from the Beach Bus Stamps on black cardstock with a WOW! Embossing ink pad. I applied some white embossing powder to it and then melted the powder using my heat tool. I die cut the “Summer” out with the coordinating dies. I used a paper trimmer to cut out the “Vibes” sentiment. I put 3D foam strips behind the sentiment and attached them to my card. To add a little bit of sparkle and fun, I added a few of the Iridescent Clear Jewels!

Cherry Blossoms & Dotted Diamond Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some floral cards for Spring using our Cherry Blossoms Stamps and the two variations of our Dotted Diamond Dies.

For my first card of the day I have a soft and pretty sympathy card using the Cherry Blossoms Stamps with the tree branch from our Out on a Limb Dies. For my background, I inked up my cardstock panel with Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and a light hand of Prize Ribbon Distress inks. I then die-cut / embossed the background with our Dotted Diamond Portrait Die. I inked up another small piece of cardstock with a similar blend of inks, which I die-cut using our Rounded Rectangle Window Dies. I shorted the rectangle by running it through my die-cutting machine again to better fit my sentiment from our Inside Greetings Sympathy Stamps. Lastly, I added a sprinkling of Majestic Clear Confetti adhered with Ranger's Multi Medium Matte.

Next up is a more vibrant take on the Cherry Blossoms Stamps. I paired them with a dramatic navy blue cardstock, which I had die-cut using our Dotted Diamond Landscape Die. For my focal point birthday greeting, I heat embossed the words "Happy Birthday" using our Big Bold Greetings Stamps and die-cut a navy frame around it using our Limitless Labels 1 Die, which I popped up with black foam tape to help it stand out. As a finishing touch, I added a few scattered Midnight Blue Crystals for some subtle sparkle. I love the tone-on-tone look with the different textures!

I am frequently asked which ink colors I used for my layered images. While I think there are so many great options out there, these are the colors I used today for my stamped images from light to dark:

Party Pets Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a clean and simple birthday card to share with you showcasing this adorable pup from the Party Pets set. I absolutely adore this set and find myself repeatedly reaching for it. 

I stamped the images from the Party Pets stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

Dog: E50/51/53/33/35, R000/20, R22
Balloons: RV000/10/21/13/14

I used the Slimline Nature Borders Dies to die cut a piece of clear acetate to make my own cloud stencil. I ink blended a cloudy background with this stencil and some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once the panel was dry, I used the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut the panel.

I adhered a piece of craft foam to the backside of the panel before adhering it to a piece of white cardstock that was matted with a slightly larger piece of black cardstock (4.25" x 5.5").

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Party Pets stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to die cut it out. 

I adhered the sentiment and colored images to the front of the inked panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5"). I finished the card with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.
