Pristine Poinsettia & Winter Greenery Ornament & Card with Kavya and Isha

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun project. It’s not a card this time but its definitely a fun way to use some Sunny Studio supplies! I had some fillable ornaments lying around so I decided use the new Pristine Poinsettia and Winter Greenery die to create a gorgeous ornament complete with faux snow.

I first started off by die cutting the different layers of the poinsettia and greenery using different shades of red and green cardstock. I ink blend the edges using matching dye ink and splatter some green and red paint to make it more realistic! I also added some extra details using a white gel pen. 

I wanted to add some faux snow but I didn’t have any at hand so I decided to see if I could find a substitute and I did. Can you guess what I used? Mini Tapioca balls from the kitchen! I bought these to make some dessert but never got around to it. I guess I was meant to craft with these! 

For the ornament, I had some lying around from a craft kit but you can easily find them on Amazon or any big box crafts store. Just make sure it’s big enough for the poinsettias. Then, I finally closed the ornament and added a white bow to finish it off :)

Hello everyone! Isha today with a pastel New Year card featuring our Pristine Poinsettia and Winter Greenery dies. I love to create white winter cards with a touch of color, hence the pastel colors. I also added extra dimension and details by embossing the card base using the Frilly Frames Lattice die.

I started by taking a white card base. I used the Frilly Frames Lattice die and used it to emboss the front panel. Die-cut a white cardstock using the Fancy Frames Rectangle.  Sponge some worn lipstick to these frames. Adhere to the card.

Die-cut some pieces using the Pristine Poinsettia and Winter Greenery dies from white cardstock. Sponge them using worn lipstick, salvaged patina and mowed lawn distress oxide inks. Emboss the center veins of the flowers using WOW! fools gold embossing glitter. Stack the flower pieces.

Adhere all the dies to the card as per my liking. Now, I stamped the sentiment from Season's Greetings stamp using Versamark ink and emboss using WOW! rose gold embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere to the card using 3d foam.

Christmas Critters Tags & Card with Mayra and Ashley

Hello everyone, Mayra here. Happy Monday and happy November!!! I am sharing a set of tags to share with you today. I used the adorable new Christmas Critters stamp set. 

I began by coloring the images using Copic markers. I used R14, R24, R46, R59, and E09 for the red areas. E89, E87, E84, E55, E31, and E41 for the sloths.

Next, I used the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die to die-cut the base panels for the tags. I used the circles from the Stitched Circle Large and the Stitched Circle Small dies to die-cut the base for the tags and to create the frame for the tags design. To create the frame, I used the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 dies. I then used the tags from the Window Quad Square dies set, the Wrap Around Box dies, and the tag from the Sweet Treat Bag die set. 

I then stamped the sentiments onto each of the separate tags. I used the sentiments from the Christmas Critters, Lazy Christmas, Inside Greetings-Holiday, and the Christmas Cookies stamp sets.

Hi friends! It’s Ashley today with a simple but still adorable Christmas card! The Christmas Critters set I used is full of options, so you could even create different versions of this same design!

I started by blending Distress Oxide inks in Bundled Sage, Pine Needles, and Black Soot onto white cardstock. I die cut the piece with the largest Stitched Rectangle for some subtle interest, then added it to a warm, light gray card base. 

I stamped the wreath and kitty from Christmas Critters in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. I cut them out using the matching dies, then added them to my card front. I popped the kitty up with foam tape to give him a bit of dimension. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the “meowy” in VersaMark ink and embossed with gold. I cut the “Christmas” from the Christmas Garland Frame die set from gold glitter cardstock and used it to finish the sentiment. I finished by using a gold marker to add some dots and crosses to the background for interest.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Stephanie Isom

Hello friends, Stephanie Isom here with you today and I’m happy to be back on the Sunny Studio blog to share 3 fun holiday cards using stamps and dies from the latest release. 

My first card is a clean and simple design featuring  the gorgeous Pristine Poinsettia and Winter Greenery dies. I love the layers of this beautiful poinsettia. I started with a standard A2 white card base and die cut the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace layer out of white card stock. For the sentiment, I stamped, heat embossed, and die cut Merry Christmas using the Seasons Greetings stamps and coordinating die set. I heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I also die cut the sentiment out of a very thin foam, to make Merry Christmas pop up a little and adhered to the top half of my card.

Next, I die cut the layers of the Pristine Poinsettia and Winter Greenery out of red, silver and green card stock and adhered them to the bottom corner of the card. To finish, I added silver enamel dots around the sentiment. This card is simple and uses classic Holiday colors, and a beautifully scripted sentiment that I just love.

For the next two cards I used cuties from the Christmas Critters stamp and die set. I started with an A2 card base and then cut some 6x6 papers from the All Is Bright pattern paper pack to add  layers. I used the Fancy Frame Rectangles and the Scalloped Tags Circle dies to frame the wreath and little mouse. The scallop circle tag is cut from silver, glitter card stock.  

I stamped, colored and die cut the mouse and wreath and popped them up with foam squares. Next, I stamped Merry Christmas and die cut a banner also from Fancy Frames Rectangles. To finish, I added a few turquoise glitter enamel dots. 

The last card is a slimline size with plenty of cute critter faces. I cut the first layer from the Slimline Scalloped Frame die and then cut 3 squares in the center of that. I used Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides to ink blend and color the background squares. I used white and black inks to add subtle splatters over top of the oxide backgrounds.  

I stamped, colored and die cut the images and adhered them all with foam squares. To complete the card, I used a thin banner die cut from black card stock and white heat embossed the sentiment.

Holiday Express Cards with Audrey and Tammy

Hello friends! Audrey here with a fun holiday card to share with you! 

To create my card, I started off with a piece of patterned paper from the All Is Bright 6x6 paper pad cut to 4" x 5.25". I used the Forest Trees Stencil and teal and green shades of Distress Oxide ink to add a tree line near the top of the panel, when splattered the paper with watered down white paint to add more snowflakes to the background. I added a snowy hill to the bottom of the panel using the Slimline Nature Borders dies and some white cardstock. Then, I stamped and colored images from the Holiday Express stamp set with my Copic markers and die cut them with the coordinating Holiday Express dies. I popped those images up with foam tape once I was happy with the arrangement.

I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a die cut banner and adhered it under the train on the snow bank. Next, I added some die cut snowflakes to the sky above the train using the Basic Mini Shapes II dies, along with some snowflakes made with white Nuvo Drops. Before mounting the panel to an A2 card base with foam tape, I added a strip of candy cane striped paper from the All is Bright paper pad. I finished off my card with some white gel pen accents.

Hello friends! Tammy here today with this fun holiday card, featuring the adorable set, Holiday Express. Santa and his reindeer are traveling by train this year to deliver all the Christmas packages, haha! 

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" and ink blended the background with Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I cut a snowy border using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, lightly inking the edge with Tumbled Glass ink before attaching to the bottom of the inked background. Next, I splattered white acrylic paint onto the background for a snowy effect.

I stamped the images from Holiday Express, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Holiday Express Dies. I then splattered white acrylic paint, thinned with water, onto the die cut images to give the appearance of freshly fallen snow.

Next, I attached all the images to my card, using foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in black ink across the top of my card then attached it to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2 white card base to complete my card.
