Designer Choice Cards with Kavya and Isha

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back with another fun card that uses a *bunch* of fan favorites that you might already have in your stash. I love stretching my supplies and using them beyond their intended use/themes. It gives me so much satisfaction and joy when I craft that way! Today’s card is one such project that was inspired by a pun that I saw a few years ago on my llama loving friend’s IG caption. While going through my stash, I realized that I had all the stamps to bring this pun to life.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Lovable Llama Looking Sharp Woo Hoo Country Scenes Graduation Card by Kavya

I first started off by creating a background using ink blended blue and green cardstock. I used two different shades of green and the Slimline Nature Border die to create the land. I then proceeded to stamp and color multiple images from the following stamp sets:

I then die cut the alphabets using
Chloe and Loopy Letters. I decided to leave the ‘llama’ portion of the pun in white so that there is a contrast between ‘Dip’ and ‘llama’ (Diploma! if you haven’t figured it out yet). I then found ‘Congrats on your’ sentiment in Happy Home stamp set and it was just perfect for this card!

That’s it folks! I hope you liked this fun card.. be sure to check back tomorrow for more inspiration! Happy Crafting.

Designer Choice Cards with Mayra and Ashley

Happy Monday everyone. Mayra here with you today, yay!! I am sharing this fun celebration-themed card. I used the sweet and fun Candy Shoppe stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Stitched Rectangle Dies Candy Shoppe Everyday Card by Mayra Duran-Hernandez

I started by coloring the images from the set using Copic markers. For the pink areas, I used RV06, RV23, RV21, RV02, and RV52. For the yellow, I used Y11, Y08, and Y19. For the green, I used YG01, YG23. For the turquoise, I used BG000, BG10, BG11, and BG13.

Next, I used the largest of the rectangles from the Stitched Rectangles dies set to die cut the base panel layer. Then, I used the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 dies, and the Stitched Circle Large dies to create the center area for the images.

For the sentiment, I used the super cute die-cut sentiment from the Gift Card Pocket die set. The banner is from the Stitched Rectangles die set.

I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you each have a wonderful and blessed day.

Hello friends! It's Ashley and I am super pumped that we are kicking off another Designer's Choice week here at Sunny Studio! That's especially true because I finally got my hands on a set that's been on my wish list forever - Breakfast Puns! I am such a sucker for punny sentiments! The whole time I was making this card, I was singing "Don't Go Bacon My Heart"!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Stitched Rectangle Dies Breakfast Puns Everyday Card by Ashley Ebben

I started by creating a diagonal rainbow blended background. I used Distress Oxides in Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Mermaid Lagoon, and Wilted Violet for the blend, then flicked some water droplets onto the ink for more interest. I trimmed the panel down with the largest Stitched Rectangle die, then added it to a card base made from some gingham paper from the Subtle Grey Tones pack.

I stamped the images from Breakfast Puns in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. I knew I wanted to use "bacon and eggs" in my sentiment, so I stamped extras of those along with a few other breakfast items to cover the diagonal. I fussy cut my images out, but you could also use the matching Breakfast Puns dies! I arranged the images on my card, holding one bacon and one egg to the side so I could pop them up with my sentiment strip. I used the banner from Stitched Rectangles on black cardstock, then stamped "bacon & eggs" in VersaMark ink and embossed with white. I added the strip, egg, and bacon to the card with foam tape. I finished the sentiment by stamping the rest of the phrase directly onto the background with more Jet Black ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Michelle Short

Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back guesting here on the Sunny Studio Blog. Today I have three projects to share with you using the latest release, combining some older products with them too. My first projects use the Poppy Fields stamps and coordinating dies. These poppies are so pretty! I love how realistic they look when they are all stamped up. I think they look great stamped in the traditional red, but for my projects, I went with pink and blue for something a little different.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Slimline Pennant Dies Poppy Fields Hello Word Die Build-A-Tag Dies Card Tag by Michelle Short

I started off the card by stamping the Poppy Fields poppies and leaves using four shades of pink ink for the poppies and two shades of green for the leaves. I used black and greys for the middles. They were die cut out using the coordinating dies and then set aside while I worked on my background. I took one of the Slimline Pennants dies and die cut it from Subtle Grey Tones paper. It was cut down and adhered to an A2 white card base with thin foam tape. I then adhered the poppies and leaves on top with liquid glue.

I took the Hello Word die and die cut it three times from white cardstock with adhesive sheet on the back. They were layered up and adhered to the card. I wanted an accompanying sentiment, so I stamped the ‘happy birthday’ from the Floating By set on to black cardstock and heat embossed it in white. It was cut into a strip and added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a few Iridescent Bubbles.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Slimline Pennant Dies Poppy Fields Build-A-Tag tag by Michelle Short

I thought it would be fun to create a little tag too! I stamped the poppies in four shades of blue and die cut them out. I cut a tag using the Build-A-Tag #1 die set from white cardstock and then ran it through my die cutting machine with the Woodgrain embossing folder. The poppies, stems and leaves were adhered on top, and I simply finished off with a twine bow and a few Iridescent Bubbles.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Slimline Pennant Dies Chloe Alphabet Dies Just Bee-cause Card by Michelle Short

For my final project, I wanted to use the Chloe Alphabet dies, as I fell in love with them when I used them for my last guest spot. I love the style of the letters! First, I die cut a panel of white cardstock using a Slimline Pennants die and added ink blending to it using Distress Oxide Inks. I then cut the clouds from the Balloon Rides dies and adhered them on top, cutting the excess off the sides with scissors. The panel was adhered to an A2 white card base with foam tape.

I took the Chloe Alphabet dies and die cut the letters from black cardstock three times for each letter so that I could stack them up for some dimension. They were adhered to the card with liquid glue. I then stamped the bees and hearts from the Just Bee-Cause with black ink on to white cardstock. They were coloured with Copic Markers and die cut out with the coordinating dies. I adhered the bees with foam tape and the hearts with liquid glue. To finish off, I added Crystal Glaze to the hearts for some shine.

Thank you so much to Mendi and her team for having me back guest designing, it is always a pleasure! And thank you for stopping by, have a great day!

Outback Critters Cards with Candice and Tammy

Hello! It's Candice with you this fabulous Friday and sharing a cute little mini slimline design perfect for any friend using the adorable Outback Critters set!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Outback Critters Stitched Circle Dies Fabulous Flamingos Frilly Frame Dies Card by Candice Fisher

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my slimline card:

I began my mini slimline with a 6 1/2 x 4 card base. For the background, I created the extended pattern by using the partial die cut method (run through partway, rotate and line up, and run through partway again!) using the Retro Petals and Stitched Rectangle dies from Kraft cardstock.

Next, I stamped the koalas, birds, and leaves, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out. I arranged them on some stitched circles inked with shabby shutters using glue on the leaves and foam tape on the critters for some dimension. I finished with the sentiment heat embossed on a black banner and sprinkled a few green jewels around it!

Thank you for stopping by with us today!

----------------------------------------------

Hi friends! Tammy here with this fun set of mini note cards, featuring the adorable set, Outback Critters. These little cards are perfect to tuck into a kid's lunchbox as a note of encouragement or just a fun little surprise to let them know you're thinking of them!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Outback Critters Stitched Circle Dies Tags by Tammy Stark

To begin, I stamped the images from Outback Critters onto Bristol smooth cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. Next, I cut 3 white scalloped mats using the largest die from the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 dies. I then cut 3 circles from Bristol cardstock using the Stitched Circle dies, and ink blended each background with Distress Oxide inks.

Next, I cut the sand and grass borders using the Slimline Nature Borders dies and attached to the ink blended circles, and layered them onto the white scalloped circles.

I then stamped the punny sentiments from Outback Critters onto each card before attaching the critters with foam tape. I did not attach them to a card base, as to keep it simple and less bulky. Just write your note of encouragement on the backside and tuck into your kiddos lunch or backpack!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Do you make little notes for your kids or loved ones? Such a fun little project! Have a great day!
