Designer Choice Cards with Candice and Kay

Hello my crafty friends, it's Candice with you this Friday! One of my favorite Sunny Studio sets is this Merry Mice one with these adorable little Christmas mice!

I used these Sunny Studio products for my slimline design:

• Merry Mice stamps & coordinating dies
• Harvest Mice stamps & coordinating dies
• Slimline Scalloped Frame dies
• Slimline Nature Borders dies

I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base. For the background, I die cut the stitched panel from Bristol Smooth cardstock, inked it with cracked pistachio, salvaged patina, and tumbled glass, and splattered with white paint and gold shimmer spray with a damp paint brush.

Next, I stamped the mice and accessories from the Merry Mice and Harvest Mice stamp sets, colored the with Copic markers, and used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out. I arranged them on the stitched snow hills and stamped the sentiment along the top!

Hi there! Kay here today with a card I created with just die cuts. The only stamping on the whole card is the sentiment. I really love this look! This card is a tribute to the last days of summer. Soon I'll be wanting to make fall and Christmas things. I used several different products from Sunny Studio stamps and will list and link them in the descriptions below.

To start off with I cut a light blue rectangle out with the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle dies. Next I cut out a while piece with the same die and cut the top of it with the clouds die from the Slimline Nature Borders dies. I then cut another dark blue piece out with the same Stitched Rectangles die. I cut this off about half way and glued that down to the light blue piece. I then cut another lighter blue piece out with the same die and cut it about one third of the way down using the scalloped edge from the Slimline Pennants dies. Next I cut out the sand using the same small stitched rectangle die and then cut it along the bottom to create the curve using the Slimline Nature Borders dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Tiki Time stamp set with brown ink along the sand layer. Next I cut out three houses from the Comic Strip Everyday dies and assembled them to look like little beach houses. I then added them to the top of the sand border with foam tape. Next I cut out the sun and the clouds from the Comic Strip Everyday dies and added them to the sky with foam tape. Lastly the whole panel was added to a top folded A2 size card base.

Designer Choice Cards with Anja and Vanessa

Hello everyone, Anja here with you today. It's Designer's Choice week and I created a geometric CAS card with stitched dies and a pretty color combo.

First, I started off with a white 5" x 5" square card base. I die cut a bunch of stitched circles from five colors of cardstock using the Window Quad Circle Grid Die. The stitched heart is part of the Cupcake Shape Dies set and I cut it 8 times from white cardstock.

I stamped the word 'hello' from the Cheerful Daisies set in VersaMark Ink onto the dark green circle and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, I glued the hearts to the stitched circles and popped them up with circles cut from white fun foam.

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a rainbow card using the Color My World set. 

I created the background using the ink smooching technique with following Distress Ink colors: Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, Dusty Concord. I then stamped the paint brushes onto the die-cut bases. Here I followed the technique Jennifer McGuire showed in this video, it saved me plenty of time and nerves! Her instructions made me enjoy creating layered images in various colors. Find suggestions for color combos/inks in her video, too.

Now I adhered the paint brushes to the card with foam tape and added the sentiment, using the Color Me Happy set, that I had heat-embossed onto a piece of black cardstock.

Designer Choice Cards with Julia and Franci

Hello crafty friends! It’s Julia here with another fun birthday card!

First, I stamped all my images from Balloon Rides onto Bristol Smooth paper and I colored them in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. For my main panel, I used the Slimline Scalloped Frame dies. I ink blended the stitched panel with Distress Oxide inks and a cloud stencil. I adhered the base slimline panel to a slightly smaller card base to make the scalloped details stand out more. 

Inks used: Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides.  
Zig Markers used: 999; 74, 64, 65; 900, 903; 222, 81, 82.

I heat embossed the first part of the sentiment onto a black strip of cardstock and the second part on vellum. I wrapped the vellum around the background piece to hide the adhesive. Then, I added my ink blended piece to the card. Finally, I added my sentiment strip, as well as my cute images with foam squares!

Hello! Franci here with you today, with a cute card featuring the Plane Awesome set. Aww look at this little doggy having fun with the stars! 

First of all I created my card base out of white cardstock, inked the front with some blue Distress Ink starting from the top and blending it out to the bottom. I let it dry completely and then stamped my sentiment.

I stamped, colored with Copics and die cut all my images and then added some details with a white gel pen. I glued everything down with foam adhesive, added a little red heart and lots of little stars in the background sky with a silver pen.

I love this clean and simple card so much! Have a lovely day!
