Party Pups Tetris Inspired Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I'll be using the Party Pups stamp set along with Devoted Doggies as obviously, they just go super well with each other. I'll be creating a Tetris inspired card today. I thought it would be super fun to lay out the images onto a background and try and fit them all into each other, I think it turned out super fun and gives a little bit of a different design I guess.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Party Pups Devoted Doggies Tetris Inspired Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card, I started off with stamping, colouring and die cutting all my dogs and accessories from both stamp sets. I used Copic Markers today because they're my absolute favourite. Once they were die cut out, I set them off to the side and worked on my background. I pulled a piece of watercolour paper and used some Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks to create a simple inked background. Once the colours were blended, I flicked a little water over the top and dried it with a heat tool.

(Copics Used: W00, W0, W1 W3, W5, W7 / E31, E35, E37 / YR23, YR27, E07 / Y21, YR21, YR24 / E43, E44, E47 / YG03, YG23, YG17 / RV13, RV25, RV09 / BG11, BG32, BG23 )

Now to assemble. I placed all my dogs and accessories I could fit on the middle of my panel first. I moved them around until I was happy. Once I was happy with the placement, I adhered them all down with foam squares. For my sentiment, I white heat embossed the 'For One Of My Favorite Humans' sentiment from Devoted Doggies onto a thin strip of black cardstock. I added foam tape onto the back of that piece also and adhered it down into a spot where it felt a little empty.

That finished up my super simple card for today, I think it's a nice way to incorporate a ton of images and also showcase your colouring. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired and I'll catch you next time.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Leanne West

Hi there! Leanne West here and I’m so happy to be a guest for Sunny Studio today!! I’ve made 5 cards to share all featuring some of the newest Sunny Studio stamps. These new sets have so many fun and playful images for scene building which is right up my alley. All the images on my cards today were colored with Copic markers and cut out using the coordinating dies. I love making custom backgrounds so all the cards will have some form of inking or pattern stamping.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Babies Summer Fast Food Fun Punny Critter Campout Cards by Leanne West

For these first two cards I wanted to create summery beach scenes using images from Beach Babies, Sunny Sentiments, and Island Getaway. I just love that all of Sunny Studio’s stamps can be mixed and matched to give you endless scene building possibilities!

I had to make a card using the boy on the wave runner from Beach Babies - he’s just too cute! And I put him on an action wobbler for some extra fun!

Up next is a couple of cards using Fast Food Fun. When I was looking for coloring ideas for the food I came across a retro fast food illustration that had a chalkboard like striped background that I loved so I tried to recreate it here. I also used some of the new Classic Gingham pattern paper. I think the red, black, and gray is such a classic color combo which fits perfectly with this card's theme.

My second fast food card is a 4 bar size. I used several of the food images and made a custom sentiment by masking off part of the letters from “great” to spell “eat". All the guys in my family are so hard to buy for but I can always give them gift cards to their favorite restaurant. The 4 bar size is perfect for holding a gift card. I will be making several of these to have on hand!

Lastly and maybe my favorite is the card I made using Critter Campout. I knew I was going to need more real estate to build the camping scene I had in mind so this card measures 4" x 9”. I wanted this card to have a rustic great outdoors vibe so I borrowed the evergreen tree images from the Gleeful Reindeer set to help with that. There’s lots of ink blending on this card’s background to create the night sky and the hills which I hand cut.

I had so much fun making all these cards! Many thanks to Sunny Studio for having me as a guest today. Have a great weekend and happy stamping!!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hello Word Die Party Pups Window Trio Birthday Card by Lexa Levana

Oh well, all our prayers have been came true. Sunny Studio has the dog version of the last season release which is a huge YAY for me as a dog person. I bet a lot of you have been wanting this too. These Party Pups Stamp is too adorable to be true! I stamped those pups with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers as usual. After I finished with the coloring, I cut each of then using the coordinating dies. To create the birthday card, I give each of them cute party hats.

The Window Trio Square dies are an easy choice to create layouts for your card. I layered patterned papers from the brand new Classic Gingham Paper in bright pink, yellow and teal. They perfectly pop against the black. The Hello script is cut on a piece of cork sheet, the dimension and texture is just right. And of course don't those little paws look so good .. they are white embossed. Looove.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you all have a wonderful day and don't forget to be happy! :)

Cascading Stars Night Sky Hello Card with Vanessa

Hello everybody! Vanessa here with a night sky card using the Cascading Stars stamp set. I love creating backgrounds with my ink blending tool and here I made a beautiful sky for my stars to shine on.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Cascading Stars Night Sky Hello Card by Vanessa Menhorn

I first inked my cardstock panel with various blue Distress Inks and applied white ink droplets. After it was dried, I stamped and heat-embossed the stars and adhered the panel to the card. Now I die-cut the tree from the Happy Camper Dies multiple times from black cardstock and adhered them.

Next, I inked a scrap of cardstock with light blue inks, die-cut the Hello Word Die from it, layered the word with two layers of hellos die-cut from black cardstock and adhered it.

Devoted Doggies Birthday Wishes Card with Franci

Hello there! It's Franci here with you today with a colorful birthday card, full of super cute little puppies, using the new Devoted Doggies set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Devoted Doggies Birthday Wishes Card by Franci Vignoli

Any other doggie lovers out there? After the Purrfect Birthday stamp set from the previous release, that was full of cute cats, Mendi drew lots and lots of new doggies!! I love both cats and dogs, but I have a lovely dog myself, so this is even more fun to use for me! There are 2 new sets featuring dogs: Devoted Doggies and Party Pups. For today's card I used both, but all the dogs on my card are from the Devoted Doggies set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Devoted Doggies Birthday Wishes Card by Franci Vignoli

First, I created my card base out of some white cardstock and created this colorful rainbow inspired pattern on the front by sponging some Distress inks. I stamped all of my images, colored them with Copics, and die cut them with their coordinating dies. I stamped all of my sentiments onto my card with the same black ink used before and glued down all the elements with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive. Finally, I added some embellishments and some sparkle to finish up my card.

I think it turned out super, super happy with all those adorable puppies!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Camper Ink Smooshed Background Happy Place Card with Juliana

Hello friends! It's Juliana Michaels here today to share a bit of happiness with a card I created using the new Happy Camper stamp set. The adorable little camper is sure to take you to your happy place!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Happy Camper Ink Smooshed Background Happy Place Card by Juliana Michaels

I started this card by stamping the adorable camper from the the Happy Camper stamp set using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then colored the image using Chameleon Pens and I die cut it using the coordinating dies.

Next, I created the background using an ink smooshing technique. To do this, I smooshed Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron onto a craft mat and spritzed it with a bit of water. I then took an A2 size piece of white cardstock and smooshed it into the ink on the craft mat. I lifted it up and dried the ink with my heat gun. I then repeated the process once again. I also took a paint brush and flicked a few splatters of ink onto the paper as well. I then took the largest die from Fancy Frames Rectangle dies and die cut the ink smooshed paper.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background with black ink. I then adhered the camper using double sided foam tape for bit of dimension. To finish off the card, I adhered a few sequins.

I hope this card brings you a little happiness and inspiration for ways to use the Happy Camper stamp set.

Background Basics Tone On Tone Stamping Fast Food Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a card to share with you all using the new Background Basics stamp set along with Fast Food Fun to create a friendship themed card. I was so inspired by Mendi to do a tone on tone look for the background set, that I just did a strip to ground my images. Then, I used the brand new patterned paper for my background, since I only just got these in the mail I just had to use them, but if you don't have the paper, there's a diagonal striped stamp you an use instead!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Background Basics Tone On Tone Stamping Fast Food Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card today, I first cut a strip of red cardstock and then pulled a darker colour of red ink from my stash to stamp the tone on tone effect. I used a long block and the gingham patterned stamp from the Background Basics stamp set and stamped it over the top. Once my strip was stamped, I set it off to the side and worked on my images. I stamped out all the images from Fast Food Fun onto a piece of white cardstock, then used my Copic Markers to colour them in. Once they were coloured, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. While I had my die cutting machine out, I used the new Fancy Frames Ovals Dies and cut the largest one out of some yellow cardstock.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Background Basics Tone On Tone Stamping Fast Food Card by Eloise Blue

Now all my elements were ready to go, I cut down a piece of patterned paper from the new Striped Silly pad. I decided to go for a neutral grey as there was a lot of colour going on already. I then added foam tape to the backs of my frames and adhered them together onto the centre of my background. Next, I adhered the strip of tone on tone gingham over the frame as well. Lastly, I adhered my images in a large group into the middle of the frame also, to make it seem like a little party. For my sentiment I used the 'We Make A Great Combo' from Fast Food Fun and white heat embossed it on a thin strip of black cardstock. I then adhered that with more foam tape on the red gingham piece and my card was complete.

I hope you enjoyed my card today, this Background Basics set is so much fun to use - even though I just used one strip here, they're super easy to line up and use for lots of different backgrounds. I'll be sure to use this again soon - because I love making my own designs of backgrounds so much and it's perfect if you don't have patterned paper either!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll catch you all next time.
