Bountiful Autumn & Turkey Day Thanksgiving Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some fall cards featuring our Bountiful Autumn Stamps and Turkey Day Stamps.

Sunny Studio Fall Thanksgiving Cards using Bountiful Autumn, Turkey Day & Background Basics 2 Stamps & Sweater Weather Paper

For my first card today, I created a mini slimline card measuring 3-1/2" wide x 6-3/8" high using the stitched mat die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I was able to shorten the length by running it through my die-cutting machine a second time. Since we don't have any patterned papers that exceed 6" wide, I decided to use the repeating polka-dot border from the Background Basics 2 Stamps (pictured above) with Gina K Sweet Mango Ink. I love how these can be used to stamp a card background of almost any size. To frame my two mini scenes, I cut two circles from white cardstock using the Stitched Circle Large Dies and then grounded the scenes with pennants from the Notebook Photo Corners Dies, which I had also shortened a bit by running them through my die-cutting machine a second time. I embellished my small scenes using the turkeys, cornucopia, vegetables, and pie from the Bountiful Autumn Stamps and then heat-embossed the greetings from the Turkey Day Stamps.

For my second card, I created a larger slimline card sized 8-1/2" wide x 4" high. Because once again, a single sheet of 6x6 Sweater Weather Paper wouldn't adequately cover my full background, I decided to die-cut several different colors into 5/8" wide stitched strips using the smallest pennant die from the Slimline Pennant Dies set. I then found the center of the card (cutting 14 strips in total) and positioned the green and teal strips on either side of the center line, working out towards both ends until my entire card front was covered with a striped print. At that point, it was super easy to use my paper trimmer to trim off any excess overhang, which is always so satisfying!

To create the look of three polaroid photos, I used the smallest rectangle in the Stitched Rectangle Dies, shortening them again with a second pass through the die-cutting machine, at the same time as positioning a 2" square die from the Stitched Square Dies to form an opening for each little "picture." I added some 1/8" scor-tape around the perimeter, behind each polaroid, and backed the window openings with a teal vine print from the same Sweater Weather Paper pack. I decorated each picture using all the darling images from our Turkey Day Stamps and heat embossed the curved greeting from the set onto a Brilliant Banner 1 Die.

That wraps up my projects for today. Don't forget to check out the Bountiful Autumn Stamps, Bountiful Autumn Dies, and Sweater Weather Paper in our online shop, which are all currently on sale!

Bountiful Autumn Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be back with this new autumn themed card showcasing the lovely Bountiful Autumn stamp set. I've had this set in my stash for years but for some reason I never used it, so it was finally time to fix that.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Bountiful Autumn Fall Themed Thank You Card by Marine Simon (featuring Rounded Rectangle Dies, Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies)

As very often I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then I colored everything using my alcohol markers. And it almost never happens: I only used images from Bountiful Autumn on this card!

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I created the background. I cut a rounded panel out of a leafy green paper from the Sweater Weather paper pack using the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, mixed some peeled paint distress ink with water and added green splatters all over my panel, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Gingham Jewel Tones turquoise panel, and used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn my gingham panel into a frame. I added white splatters to that frame, and once dry, I attached it to my leafy green panel using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Thankful" from Bountiful Autumn, stamped "For your kindness" on some light aqua cardstock using another stamp from the same set, cut it with the matching die, attached it below "Thankful" using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck all my cute images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Finally I attached my rounded panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light aqua panel using foam tape, and then the whole thing to a white card base.

And that's it! I hope that you like this sweet and colorful autumn themed card. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time.

Turkey Day Card with Tina

Hello crafters, Tina here and I just can’t get over how cute these sweeties from the Turkey Day stamp and die set are! Their size is also the perfect match for the frames cut by the Wonky Window die.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Turkey Day Fall Themed Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Wonky Window Dies, Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace Dies, Diagonal Stripes Stencils)

After creating a side folding white card base, I cut a panel from white card stock with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace set. Next, I came in with the Wonky Window die and set the three little window pieces aside for later.

For a real cozy fall look, I added a plaid design to the background piece by using the Diagonal Stripes stencil in two directions (the blue ink was from my stash). I love how quick and easy this pattern was achieved and I think it is perfect for that autumnal vibe!

Next, I pulled out the Turkey Day stamp set and selected three cuties, some pumpkins and an extra pie. I enjoyed coloring these images in bright tones of purple, brown, orange and a bit of blue. This color palette stands out nicely against the blue plaid. I used a white gel pen for accents and a black gel pen for the eyes of the birds.

To assemble the card I adhered the background piece to the card base and added the three white panels. Then I played around with the placement of the images and popped them up with foam tape.

The sentiment was taken from the same Turkey Day stamp set and I used a matching purple ink from my stash. I always add a little bling to my cards and today I went with the Orange Topaz Jewels which are perfect for fall cards.

Do you love making autumn cards as much as I do? I hope you got inspired and have fun creating! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda here with you on the Sunny Studio blog today! I’m excited to share this cute little Fall card with you!

I love making a scene card and this one might be one of my favs! I loove loove loooove the Foxy Friends Stamps, so I decided to use them to create a Fall scene!

I colored the background scene and all the stamped images with Copic markers. Here are the markers I used:

Grass: BG90, YG91, YG93
Leaves: Y00, Y02, Y23, Y35, Y38, YR16
Tree trunk: 331, E23, E25, E27

Rake: E25, E59, N1, N5

After all the coloring was complete, I added some white highlights and dots using a white Gelly Roll pen. Then, I cut out the images using the coordinating die sets and my die cutting machine. I put 3D foam squares behind all of the images and then added them to my background scene. Finally, I glued the background panel to an A2 card base to complete the card!

Thanks so much for coming by the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today! Come back tomorrow for more crafty inspo!

Elegant Leaves Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some fall cards featuring the Elegant Leaves Stamps.

For my first card showcasing the Elegant Leaves Stamps I started by creating a rainbow blend on watercolor paper by washing my paper in water and then dropping in bits of color using Daniel Smith Watercolors. When it had dried entirely (which you can speed up with a heat gun), I heat embossed the leaf images using Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powder. I proceeded to fussy cut each image right next to the embossing outline to keep things looking bold and clean against my navy blue background. I then rearranged the leaves loosely on my card panel and took turns adhering them with my Zig Glue Pen.

Lastly, I used that same Brass embossing powder to heat emboss my "Thankful for all you do" sentiment onto coordinating navy cardstock, fussy cutting again around the word "thankful" leaving a small shadow to make it easier to cut out. This navy shadow blends with my background and also helps the word stand out in the places where it overlaps with the leaves beneath to keep it from being illegible. I love how these leaves pop against the navy and how the metallic embossing catches the light!

For my second card, I created a radically different look with the Elegant Leaves Stamps. I chose a more modern & graphic design with the leaf images, incorporating a pink, grey, black, and white color scheme. I started by embossing a piece of pink cardstock using our Cable Knit Embossing Folder for my card's background. I then stamped the bold leaves and leaf outlines using various Versafine inks (linked below). I arranged my leaves into a garland arrangement, positioned in the bottom center of my card. I then heat embossed the word "Grateful" using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder onto the same pink cardstock. Once again, I fussy cut a slight shadow around the word and paired it with other parts of the greeting, which I heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder onto black cardstock.

That wraps up my projects for today. Thanks so much for hanging out with me. I hope I've inspired you to spread a little happiness by sending out a card to someone you love. 💛
