A Cut Above Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a card that is featuring A Cut Above Stamp and dies. This set is a perfect addition to Color My World! So of course, I just had to combine them! As a card maker, I love a fun craft related project (with a cute critter!).

To start I die cut all the ‘stamp layering’ elements I was going to use: two colored pencils, the scissors, pushpin (all from the A Cut Above Stamp) and the paint palette (from Color My World) . Next, I placed the die cuts in my Misti and used the stamp backing sheet with the drawings to help me position the layering stamps. I selected several shades of grey, yellow, blue, and red from my dye ink stash. No smudging with these inks!!

The cute kitty is one of the Birthday Cat stamps and was colored with matching yellow Copic markers. I added a few white highlights with my gel pen to all the images. The blue polka dot background pattern paper is part of the Spring Fever pad and cut with the outer border of the Frilly Frames Stripes Die.

For my second panel, I repeatedly stamped the notebook grid from the A Cut Above Stamp onto a white sheet of Neenah paper with one of the blue dye inks I used for the images. This sheet was cut with the spiral notebook paper die from Notebook Tab Dies.

Next, I used my paper trimmer to create a slightly bigger piece from white paper and colored it with one of the darker blue dye ink pads. A simple trick to create your own matching color card stock!

The sentiment was selected from Color My World and stamped onto the grid paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and one of the red dye inks. After gluing the polka dot paper to a white card base, I added the next layers (blue piece and grid paper) before adhering the crafty tools and cute cat with foam tape. A few sparkling Iridescent Jewels were scattered around the sentiment.

Notebook Tab Die Focused Card with Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends! Catherine here! Today, I am sharing a card create with the fun Notebook Tabs Dies. This set is so versatile as the dies can be used for journaling or scrapbooking. I decided to use the dies to make a fun clipboard themed card using a tab as the clip!

To start, I created a polka dot embossed background with Lots Of Dots Embossing. Next, I created the clipboard by trimming a piece of vellum to 3 1/2” W  x 4 1/2” H. I rounded off all four corners using a corner punch.

I die cut the notebook paper with Notebook Tabs Dies using paper from my stash. I die cut the clip with one of the tab dies in the set using gold cardstock. 

For the pencils, I die cut white cardstock with the pencil die from A Cut Above Dies. I scored the pencils for added texture. I stamped the bottom points and tips of the pencils using A Cut Above Stamps with Catherine Pooler Buttercream, Be Mine, and Cummerbund Inks. I added gold labels onto the pencils using the log piece from Fireplace Shaped Dies.

For the scissors, I die cut one pair out of gold cardstock and another pair out of paper from Spring Sunburst Paper. I added a gold screw in the middle using a tiny circle die from Gingerbread House Dies.

I added “you” die cut out of black cardstock from Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I die cut “RULE” out of white cardstock using Chloe Alphabet Dies and ink blended with Festive Berries, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides.

I finished off the card by adding a cute bunny from Beach Buddies Stamps, hearts from Stitched Heart 2 Dies and a colorful strip border from Spring Sunburst Paper.

A Cut Above Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I’ve got a fun card to share featuring the A Cut Above Stamps. I probably need to make 100 of these to have on hand when I’ve had one of “those” kind of days!

This is an A2 card with a pretty simple design that works up quickly (just in case you might also need 100 of these on hand). I started by die-cutting a paper from the Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper using the frame portion from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Die and adhered this to the card front. Next, I die-cut a silver metallic cardstock using the frame portion from the Frilly Frames Chevron Die. To create a frame from this piece, I die-cut the center of it using the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die. I cut a blue paper from the Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", adhered the silver cardstock frame to it and adhered the combined piece to the card front.

Next, I die-cut a piece of black cardstock using a Notebook Photo Corners Die and heat embossed the sentiment and white lines from the A Cut Above Stamps with white embossing powder. To add a scissor-like cut to the notebook paper, I die-cut it in multiple places using a Mini Mat & Tag 4 Die which also coordinates with the Frilly Frames Chevron Die.

To finish, I stamped the scissors from the A Cut Above Stamps and die-cut them using the coordinating dies.

Crepe Paper Streamers Card with Marine

Hi crafty friends, Marine here! I'm back today with a very colorful mini slimline birthday shaker card showcasing the Crepe Paper Streamers, as well as three lovely kitties from Birthday Cat.

I started off by creating my shaker panel using the same process as the Season's Tweeting card I made a while ago. I first cut a 6 x 3 inches Spring Sunburst rainbow polka dot panel, and cut three Wonky Windows out of it. Still at the back of my polka dot panel, I attached a piece of acetate, added foam strips along the four edges and around each window, and poured some Birthday Cake Dot Sprinkles and iridescent confetti inside each window. I cut a 6 x 3 inches white card base, and attached another Spring Sunburst pattern paper on top of it, and then attached my card base at the back of my Wonky Window panel to close the shaker windows.

Next I stamped my images from Birthday Cat on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I used the coordinating dies to cut them, and then colored my three cupcakes using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers. To match the card base, I went for rainbow shades to color the cupcake cases, and next I attached a cupcake on each window using 1mm foam squares.

For my sentiment, I cut a black banner using a die from the Notebook Photo Corners die set, I white heat embossed my "Meow is the time to celebrate" greeting from Birthday Cat on top, and then attached the banner below the windows using 1mm foam squares.

Next I created some colorful Crepe Paper Streamers. I cut several streamers out of white cardstock using the long dies from the set, and used the small dies to cut many colorful pieces. Attached those tiny pieces on the white steamers in a rainbow order to match the card base, and then stuck the streamers above the windows using 1mm foam squares.

And that's it! Super cute and very festive with those cheeky kitties and bright colors. Hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Birthday Mouse Card with Bobbi

Hello Sunny friends. It’s Bobbi here with a tempting card… well at least for these cute cats in the windows! All four cats have spotted this cute little birthday mouse, biking by with a balloon bouquet attached. Did someone say birthday dinner?!

I’m using the new Birthday Mouse stamps and dies as well as the Birthday Cats stamps and dies. The windows were made using the set, Wonderful Windows dies. My card measures 5″ X 7″, but could be made in any size.

To make this card, I started with a background of stripes using paper from the Subtle Grey Tones paper pack. It reminds me of exterior house siding. I added two windows using the Wonderful Windows dies. I adhered pink floral paper to the backs of the windows to look like wallpaper on the inside of the house. This paper is from the Spring Fever paper pack.  Curtains were made using the Notebook Tab Dies (I used the inverse die cut for the white pom pom trim.) and green polka dotted patterend paper. I added four cats – two stacked in each window – to the inside of the windows and altered their eyes using a marker to keep all eyes on the prize!

I stamped and colored the mouse image and stamped the phrase from the set inside the middle balloon. The mouse was attached using foam tabs to make him stand out. I created some shrubs by dotting cardstock with three green shades of Copics and hand cutting a soft shrub top line. A black strip at the bottom grounds the mouse and acts as a road/sidewalk. Lastly, I attached some enamel dots in green and pink rhinestones above the balloons for a festive look.

Notebook Die Focused Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I’m sharing a CAS card with a touch of elegance featuring the Notebook Tabs Dies. When I first saw this notebook paper die I immediately thought of a large handwritten message and Sunny Studio has the perfect sentiment stamps to give it that look! Paired with a pencil from the A Cut Above Stamps, I just love how this came together.

I started this A2 card by die-cutting a piece of gray cardstock using the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. I adhered this to a white card front. Next, I die-cut a piece of kraft cardstock using a Stitched Rectangles Die and embossed it using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I adhered this centered on the gray frame.

I die-cut a light pink parchment cardstock 3 times using the Notebook Tabs Die and stamped lines on one of them in a dark pink ink using the A Cut Above Stamps. I then stamped the sentiment from the Lovey Dovey Stamps in gray ink. I already loved these scripty stamps, but they work so perfect on the notebook paper die for that handwritten look! I adhered the 3 notebook papers layered over each other.

To finish, I stamped roses and leaves from the Everything’s Rosy Stamps and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. The pencil from the A Cut Above Stamps was a perfect finishing touch. I also die-cut this using the coordinating dies.
