Merry Mice Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm thrilled to share with you the latest adventures of the mice family with this cute and festive slimline card featuring a bunch of images, including ones from Merry Mice. If you have missed their first adventures, here is a recap: they went apple picking during the Fall season here, were busy delivering presents here, and today is all about Christmas caroling, or should I say Christmouse caroling?!

So I started off by creating a simple wintery landscape on a 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel. On three quarters of the panel, I created snow hills using salvaged patina oxide ink and a hillside stencil from my stash. And at the very top, I created the sky using salvaged patina oxide ink again, with a little bit of peacock feathers oxide ink. I love to add texture to my backgrounds when I use oxide inks, so I mixed a little bit of peacock feathers oxide ink with water, and used a small brush to make splatters on the snowy hills. I did the same on the sky with a mix of blueprint sketch oxide ink and water. And the same again with a mix of white ink and water, but this time I made splatters all over the panel.

Next I stamped all my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the matching dies and colored everything using once again my favorite color palette for this holiday season, which is red, light pink, aqua and green. Here is the detailed list of the stamp sets I used:

• Merry Mice - singing mice, mice (with the scarves), scarves, ear muffs, beanies, Santa hat, snowmouse

• Harvest Mice - mice (with the sweaters), sweaters

• Christmas Critters - mouse (in the balloon)

• Balloon Rides - hot air balloon, banners

• Feeling Frosty - trees

• Snowman Kisses - snowflakes

I stamped my "Have yourself a merry little Christmouse" greeting from Merry Mice at the very bottom of my panel: "Have yourself a merry little" in black, and "Christmouse" in silver. Next I attached the images on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and finally added highlights and details to the images and sky using a white gel pen.

Balloon Rides with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a sweet wedding card featuring the adorable Balloon Rides stamp and die set! I love that the sentiments in this set are so versatile, allowing you to create cards for many occasions.

Let’s start by making a white A2 card base from heavy weight card stock. It’s very unusual for me to begin this way, but I wanted to get the design part of this project done first.

After folding the base, I selected a cloud die from my stash and used it to cut the front of my base. After creating this cloudy border, I used the rest of that white sheet to cut a similar border for the bottom of the design. With the remaining part of the card stock, I cut two slightly smaller rectangles.

Next, I took a piece of heavy weight acetate and cut it to A2 size. Now I was able to sandwich the acetate between the cloud borders and the two rectangle pieces at the back. Since we have a see through front panel, I glued a pretty pink paper from Gingham Pastels to the inside of my card. Leaving you with the back of your project to write a message!

With the base of the card finished, I stamped and die cut 4 balloons, two decoration ribbons and two cute bears from the Balloon Rides stamp. All the coloring was done with Copic Markers, I left two balloon dies white since they will be glued at the back to give the inside of the card a clean look. To make the bears extra adorable, I added two little bows from the Spring Showers set.

The sentiment from the Balloon Rides stamp was stamped onto a small white strip with pink dye ink from my stash. To assemble the card, I placed both balloons left and right onto the front panel, showing as much as the cloud borders as possible. I glued the blank dies on the back as mentioned before. Next, I added the sweet bears with their bows and finally the sentiment strip.

Since this is a love themed card, I added three shiny hearts from the Heart Shaped Pearls embellishments.

Birthday Mouse Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm thrilled to be back on the blog with this adorable slimline card showcasing the lovely Birthday Mouse, as well as some happy friends that I picked from other sets (listed below).

As very often I started off with the coloring. I stamped all my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and then colored everything using my Graph'it Brush markers and Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. We have the sweet Birthday Mouse, and also:

- two mice from Harvest Mice
- the kite, tulips and butterflies from Spring Showers
- the mouse from Christmas Critters
- the hot air balloon, banner and clouds from Balloon Rides
- the grass sprigs from Garden Critters

Next I moved on to the background. I cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches slimline Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and divided it in three sections that I colored using stencils from my stash and oxide inks. I used a cloudy stencil along with tumbled glass and salty ocean oxide inks to make the sky at the top. Next grassy stencils along with shabby shutters and mowed lawn oxide inks to make two grass borders, and finally I used antique linen and vintage photo oxide inks with washi tape to create a straight path at the bottom of the panel.

I stamped my "Have a mice day" greeting from Birthday Mouse in black at the very bottom of my panel, attached all the images using 1mm foam squares, and as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Birthday Cat Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today! In case you don't know, I'm French, and next week on July 14th we will celebrate Bastille Day. I never make cards or anything crafty for this day, so I thought it would be fun to mark the occasion and finally create something to celebrate our National Day. My card features four adorable kitties from Birthday Cat, and to complete my scene, I shopped my entire Sunny Studio collection and found the perfect images that match today's theme.

So I started off with the coloring. I stamped the images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and then colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it Brush markers. Of course I went for a blue, white and red color palette to match the French flag, and in addition to the kitties from Birthday Cat, I picked:

- the hot air balloon + banners from Balloon Rides
- the Eiffel tower + beret from Paris Afternoon
- the stars from North Pole
- the birds from Seasonal Trees

I silver heat embossed the Eiffel tower from Paris Afternoon on the same paper as the images, and then I worked on the background. To fit the four hot air balloons, I went for a slimline design and cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I colored using salty ocean + blueprint sketch + chipped sapphire oxide inks. I splattered my panel with copic opaque white ink, as well as a mix of black soot oxide ink and water.

I cut another 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and cut a cloud border out of it using a die from the Slimline Nature Borders die set. I added a little bit of color to that border using tumbled glass oxide ink, and then I stamped my sentiment on the right side. I stamped the words "Floating by to say" from Floating By in black, and I silver heat embossed the word "Bonjour" from Charming City.

I attached everything on my dark blue panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and finally added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. And that's it! I really had a lot of fun creating this card, I love how it turned out, and I hope you like it too! Thank you so much for stopping by, and see you next week!

Panda Party Cards with Marine and Waleska

Hey crafty friends, Marine here, so glad to be back on the blog with the loveliest and sweetest pandas from Panda Party. I created a mountain scene for those cute little guys, and to help me complete my scene, I shopped my entire Sunny Studio collection to find the stamps that could fit the theme.

And just like the Garden Critters card that I shared last week, I first stamped all my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker-friendly black ink, and die cut them all using the coordinating dies, in order to place them on an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel and help me visualize the scene I wanted to build. I used a pencil to mark on my panel the different parts I wanted to create in my scene, from the bottom to the top: two hills, mountains, and the sky, and I used stencils from my stash along with oxide inks to color the entire panel.

Once my mountain landscape was done, I colored all my images using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers. And to create a lovely habitat for my lovely pandas from Panda Party, I picked some extra stamps from different sets:

- the grass from Garden Critters
- the branch from Outback Critters
- the hot air balloon & clouds from Balloon Rides
- two leaves from Fabulous Flamingos
- the tree trunk from Seasonal Trees
- the flowers from Chickie Baby + from Chubby Bunny
- the swirling detail from Country Scenes

I white heat embossed my "Wishing you a pandastic day" from Panda Party at the bottom of the panel, I attached all the images using 1mm foam squares mostly and 3mm glue dots, and as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

And that's it! Love those cute pandas and how they pop on the green landscape, and the one in the balloon is one more proof that Sunny Studio stamp sets are totally mixable, just perfect if, just like me, you love to create stories on cards. Hello there, Waleska here! I am happy to be back on the blog to share a happy card featuring the Panda Party Stamps. I also used the Frilly Frames Hexagon and the Mini Mat & Tag #1 Dies.

I started by cutting the biggest of the Frilly Frames with white cardstock and inking another piece to adhere on top of this frame with Oxide Inks in colors Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Cracked Pistachio, I did some watercolor splatters for more interest too. I then cut the small scalloped rectangle from the Mini Mat Tag #1 Dies and created a little scene with stencils and oxide inks.

I then stamped and cut the cutest three pandas from the set and adhere them in the scene, I stamped one of the sentiments with white embossing powder on black cardstock, such an adorable card to wish someone you love a pandastic day! Thank you so much for stopping by today have a great rest of your week!
