Kiddie Pool Cards with Vanessa and Audrey

Hello to you! Vanessa here with my first take on the new release using Kiddie Pool.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Kiddie Pool Card by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Swimming Pool Dies)

I first die-cut the pool from my white panel of cardstock, inked the edges of the pool and adhered a piece of acetate behind the opening. Now I added foam tape behind the pool, filled the area with sequins and adhered the panel to the card base. I stamped my images, colored the pieces with Copic markers, die-cut everything the matching dies and adhered the elements to the card.

This is a list of the products I used today:
Kiddie Pool stamps + dies
Silly Sloths stamps dies (leaves)
Beach Babies stamps + dies (ball)
Swimming Pool dies

Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of green cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, notched one end and adhered it.

Isn't this release amazing? It's such fun! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Hello friend! Audrey here with a summer inspired card to share with you!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Kiddie Pool Card by Audrey Tokach

To create this card, I started off by watercolor a background using Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn. I cut the panel just a smidge smaller than a A2 card front. I stamped and colored images from Kiddie Pool and die cut them with the coordinating Kiddie Pool dies. For the swimming pool, I stamped and die cut it, then stamped it again on polka dot paper from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 paper pad. I fussy cut that piece and glue it to the die cut piece. To make the pool water sparkle, I added a layer of Glossy Accents and then went around the water's edge with Stickles glitter.

I stamped a sentiment from the set on a diecut banner, and added a snippet of striped paper from the Rainbow Bright paper pad under the sentiment, and along the bottom edge of the panel before adhering it to an A2 card base. To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents.

Wedded Bliss Cards with Marine and Marieke

Hey crafty friends, Marine here on the blog today! Summer release is finally available at sunnystudiostamps.com and I'm super happy to be back with a shaker card showcasing the adorable Wedded Bliss mini stamp set. This wedded penguin couple is just so cute!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wedded Bliss Card by Marine Simon (featuring Stitched Arch Dies, Balloon Rides, Passionate Penquins)

As always I started off with the coloring. I stamped the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

Besides the Wedded Bliss penguin couple, I stamped one of the Balloon Rides banners three times, as well as a bunch of hearts from Fabulous Flamingos. And to create my cute penguin cherub, I picked a penguin from Passionate Penguins, and stamped a bird from Little Birdie two times to use his wings only.

Next I created the shaker background. I cut a 6 x 3" panel out of a Flirty Flowers pattern paper, and I cut a Stitched Arch out of that panel. I white heat embossed my sentiment "Wishing you wedded bliss" from Wedded Bliss at the top of my mini slimline panel, and then I attached the inside arch window remaining piece on a 6 x 3" card base using the open arch window panel as a guide.

I flipped the panel over and added liquid glue all along the arch window, I attached a piece of clear acetate at the back of my panel, and then, to create room for the shaker accessories, I added two layers of foam strips all along the arch window.

I made the foam strips edges non sticky using a powder tool, cleaned the acetate with a microfiber cloth, I also added more foam strips above the window and next I added a mix of jewels inside the window, and finally I placed my card base on the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel. And next I attached the images using 3mm glue dots.

And that's it, we have a super cute mini shaker card with a happy and elegant penguin couple and a cheeky penguin cherub throwing hearts at them. Don't hesitate to watch the process video for information (just click on the image above!). Thanks for stopping by and see you next week!

Hello Sunny Studio Friends, Marieke here. To kick everything off I'm sharing my first card as a design team member and it is a mini slimline wedding card using the Wedded Bliss Stamps

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wedded Bliss Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Cupcake Shape Dies, Moroccan Embossing Folder)

So first off I cut a white panel, die cut it and emboss the panel using the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder. Cut a rectangle out of pattern paper and glued that on top of the embossed panel. Using the same outer die I cut a small piece of white cardstock and some pattern paper from the same paper pad and adhered them together. Added some twine for some interest. Die cut the heart out of the Cupcake Shape dies twice out of cardstock and pattern paper and glued onto the twine.

Used Copic Colors:
Penguins - N6, N4, N3, N2 / YR04, YR02, YR00 / E53, E51, E50, 0 / R20
Suit - W4, W2, W1, W00
Pink - RV02, RV00, RV000, RV0000
Crown - C3, C1, C00
Rose - YG13, YG11 / R24, R22, R20

Stamped the image, colored it up using my Copic markers and cut them using the Wedded Bliss Die. Die cut a heart out of light gray cardstock and another one out of white cardstock and dry embost the smallest heart. Adhered them together. Heat set all the sentiments using gold embossing powder and cut them. Adhered everything onto a light gray base card.

Country Carnival Cards with Alma and Gladys

Hi, Alma here and I feel so honored to join this gorgeous Sunny Studio Stamps DT for the next months. I created my first card with the brand new Country Carnival Stamps

Sunny Studio Stamps: Country Carnival Card by Alma Maier (featuring Wedded Bliss, Frilly Frame Dies)

I stamped the Ferris wheel, the tent and the carousel and coloured them with shades of red and brown. Then I blended the background with Distress Inks. I cut the stamps with the Country Carnival Dies and created a background with the three motifs. After that I added a vellum over the background to get a soft background. Then I used the frame of Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace.

Finally I stamped and coloured the penguins of the set Wedded Bliss and the bench of the set Spring Scene Stamps and added them in front of the card.

-----------------------------------------------

Hello everyone! Gladys here with a new project using brand new stamps and dies from the summer release!! There are lots of fun designs in this release perfect for summer. I know you will absolutely love them as much as I do!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Country Carnival Birthday Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Slimline Dies)

For my card today I used the new stamp set called Country Carnival. It has everything you need to create a carnival theme and I can think of other stamps that will go well with this set. I started by stamping the images on 110lb cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I think it's helpful to have the coordinating dies with this set since the images are very detailed. For example the die will cut in between the spokes of the ferris wheel. Personally it looks a lot cleaner with the dies than having to fussy cut in between them.

Next I used the Slimline Scalloped Frame die to cut from Bristol smooth cardstock. I used tape to mask off along the edges then I ink blended the panel with distress oxide inks. I chose the colors picked raspberry, abandoned coral and scattered straw for my background. To add interest I used a small fan brush to add water droplets and diluted picked raspberry to add splatters. I also use the Slimline Scalloped Frame die to cut from dark gray cardstock and trimmed off the scallop edge.

I assembled my scene and used liquid glue to adhere them onto the panel. To add a little bit of dimension I used the coordinating dies to cut from white cardstock to glue behind the colored images. I think this is a good alternative if you don't want to use foam tape. Also because I didn't want to have to cut foam tapes in tiny pieces especially for the ferris wheel and balloon strings. For the sentiment I white heat embossed it on black cardstock. Finally I used glossy accents for the balloons and star dust stickles for the cotton candy, unicorns and star.

I hope you like my carnival theme card. All of the products are now available in the shop so go check it out. I appreciate you joining me and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Fintastic Friends Cards with Kavya and Mendi

Hey folks! Kavya here! I am super excited to start playing with the new Summer release :) There are so many awesome products and I cannot stop finding inspiration all around me. Today’s card is based on one of my favorite themes - Oceans and it’s gorgeous floral and fauna. There is so much opportunity for color here and there is no right or wrong.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fintastic Friends Card by Kavya (featuring Magical Mermaids, Ocean View)

I first started off by creating my background using a pale blue colored cardstock. I ink blended using Blueprint, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink. I also added some sun rays entering the water from a side using a generic sun ray stencil. Then, I splattered some water and white paint to give the look of bubbles!

Later, I colored a bunch of images from the new Fintastic Friends and Ocean View stamp sets. From the older releases, I used the Magical Mermaid stamp (It’s retiring soon so grab it before it’s gone!). Adhered them to the background using foam and added a sentiment to finish off my card :)

That’s it folks! I hope you liked this project :) Check back tomorrow for more inspiration! Happy Crafting!

-------------------------------------------

Hello there!  It's Mendi here today, filling in for Isha, with a card showcasing the Fintastic Friends Stamps. I started my card by using a piece of patterned paper with waves from our Summer Splash Paper pack, trimming the top with our retired Sunny Border Dies. A similar look can be achieved by simply cutting along the top of the wave print with your scissors.

To set my scene I mixed in plants from both our Best Fishes Stamps and our new Fintastic Friends set with some of seashells and clouds from our new Ocean View Stamps. I tried to narrow my Copic marker choices to a limited color palette to have my seashells, jellyfish and octopus all compliment each other with a bit of a pearlescent look by blending pinks, lavenders and pale aqua blues.

Sunny Studio Punny Birthday Card (using Fintastic Friends, Ocean View & Best Fishes Stamps, Summer Splash Paper, Slimline Nature Border Dies)

For my punny greeting, I stamped my sentiment from the Fintastic Friends Stamps using VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder. Lastly, I added some bubbles using our Clear Drops Mix, which I adhered to my card using Ranger Multi Matte Medium, to add a little shine and dimension to my otherwise flat card.

That wraps up our shares for the day. Thanks so much for joining us! I hope we've inspired you in your Summer cardmaking endeavors.
