Guest Designer Spotlight: Summer Cards with Mona Tóth

Hi crafty friends! It's Mona here and I am super excited to be a guest on the Sunny Studio Stamp blog. Today I am showing you one vintage bright floral card and one cute with the cutest seal stamp set ever!

For my first card I started the card making with stamp layering with the fabulous Everything’s Rosy and the Potted Rose stamp sets which matches perfectly together. For the stamping I used Hybrid Inks from Scrapbook.com. For the leaves I used the various greens and for the rose I used pinks, violets and yellows as well. When the stamp layering was done I Die-cut the images with their coordinating dies.

The next step was the background. I picked a pink striped cardstock from the Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper Pad and run it through my Die-Cut machine with Frilly Frames Stripes Dies and repeated the same process with a white cardstock as well. Next, I run the white Die-cut once more through my die-cut machine, but this time with the Woodland Borders Die to create a desk on my card.   

When it was done, I stamped the “Hello” sentiment with the Potted Rose stamp set and watermark ink then I heat embossed it. In the end I styled my card and adhered the flowers together. I also added some embellishments and my first card was done.

For my second card, for the base I have used the frame from the Frilly Frames Chevron Dies to create white Die-cut, then I created a bit smaller water coloring. I created the water colored beach with teal and light brown watercolors then I splattered on it with a bit darker brown and blue watercolor and let it dry. Next, I put on my card the super sweet seals which I made with the Sealiously Sweet Stamps and Sealiously Sweet Dies which I have colored with Copic Markers.

In the end I just put my card together with 3D foam adhesives, to add more dimension to my card.

Potted Rose Cards with Tammy and Ana

Hi friends! Tammy here, sharing this cheery card, featuring the gorgeous Potted Rose Stamp. I combined my simple design with the Frilly Frames Herringbone. I just love loves the intricate detail it adds to any card! 

To begin, I cut an A2 rectangle from Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended the background with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. Next, I cut white cardstock using the Frilly Frames Herringbone. I then cut a circle out of the middle and added two, stacked white scalloped circle frames I cut using the Fancy Frames Circle Die. I attached the frame to my inked background and then stamped the sentiment from Potted Rose in black ink in the center of the scalloped window.

Next, I stamped the roses and leaves from Potted Rose using Pinkfresh Ink Cubes  in Rise & Shine, Heartbeat, and Over The Hills. I then die cut the stamped images using the Potted Rose Dies and arranged them onto my card, using foam tape for dimension. To finish my card, I attached the card front to a white card base.

Hi friends! Ana here today with a floral card featuring Potted Rose stamps and coordinating dies, Dapper Diamonds embossing folder and Fancy Frames Oval dies.

I started by stamping the flowers, leaves and the pot from Potted Rose stamp set, then used coordinating dies to cut all the pieces. I used Pink Fresh Studio ink cubes in Fairy Dust, Heartbeat, Soul of Provence, and Rise & Shine - and Altenew Cherry Blossom for the flowers and Pink Fresh Studio Garden Stroll for the leaves. For the pot I used PFS Wild Truffles ink set.

For my background I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the A2 size card base and ran in through Dapper Diamonds embossing folder which I lightly inked with Sky blue ink (from PFS Morning Sky). I created a scalloped frame and oval with Fancy Frames Oval dies, then inked the oval piece with Sky blue ink.

I adhered the oval frame and blue oval piece to the embossed background then adhered the pot and flowers. I white heat embossed the hello sentiment (from Potted Rose set) on a small tag (from Wrap Around Box dies), then inked the tag with lightest ink from PFS Wild Truffles ink set. To embellish the card I used White Pearls.

Herringbone Frame Dies Focused Cards with Angelica and Juliana

Hi friends! This is Angelica, and I have a new card to share, showcasing the Frilly Frames Herringbone Background Die. I went out for ice cream yesterday with my dad and daughter, and thought I would incorporate that fun date into this card.

I made a three-scoop ice cream cone, using Two Scoops stamp set, and Altenew inks. I die-cut white card stock with the Herringbone die. For the stitched edge, I used the large rectangle from Frilly Frames Retro Petals. 

I blended Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth paper, trimmed the panel, and glued the Herringbone background to it. I attached the ice cream cone on top, and finished with a Hello.

Hello Sunny Studio friends! It's Juliana and today I'm sharing a card featuring the Herringbone Frilly Frame Die Set. I don't know about you, but I absolutely love ALL the Frilly Frames! They are perfect for adding interest and texture to just about any card design.

For this card, I began by stamping and die cutting images from the Potted Rose and Everything's Rosy Stamp Sets. I used Scrapbook.com's Premium Hybrid Inks which are just perfect for using with layered stamps like these. Once the stamping was complete, I die cut all of the images using the coordinating die sets.

Next, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Herringbone Frilly Frame Die Set. For the sentiment, I stamped “best wishes” from the Pink Peonies Stamp Set with Black Soot Archival Ink onto a piece of vellum. Once the ink was dry, I die cut it using one of the Stitched Oval Dies. I then assembled the stamped images and sentiment on top of the frame and layered the entire piece onto a piece custom ink blended paper. For the final touch, I added some white pearls using a bit of Distress Collage Medium to adhere them.

Potted Rose Cards with Ashley and Juliana

Hi friends! It's Ashley today with a soft floral card that can be customized to fit any occasion! I combined the leaves and pot from Potted Rose with the flowers from Pink Peonies to create a new look!

I started by blending inks from the Pinkfresh Studio Island Oasis set on white cardstock. I used the Frilly Frames Stripes die on another piece of cardstock and placed the die cut on top of my ink blended piece for my background. 

I stamped the flowers from Pink Peonies in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics before cutting them out with the matching dies. I stamped the pot from Potted Rose in the same shades from Pinkfresh Studio Island Oasis to match the background and used the Pinkfresh Studio Garden Stroll set for the leaves. I used the Potted Rose dies to cut everything out and arranged everything on my card, popping a few of the peony blossoms up with foam tape.

I created a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black on a strip of white cardstock. I blended a bit of the lightest color from Pinkfresh Studio Island Oasis - Ocean Breeze - on the edges then added it to the card with foam tape. I finished with a scattering of sea glass confetti to add some shine.

To get the exact color I wanted I ink blended a piece of Bristol Smooth paper using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. If you happen to have the perfect color of cardstock on hand you can speed things up and use that instead! I finished off the card with a simple “hello” from the Radiant Plumeria Stamp Set.
