Season's Greetings Holiday Gift Tags with Leanne

Hello friends! Leanne here and I'm sharing some Christmas tags today. I've combined some pretty holiday paper with a big Merry Christmas greeting for these festive tags. 

Below are all the Sunny Studio supplies needed to recreate these tags.

Joyful Holiday paper pad - Patterned paper used for tag base.

Stitched Arch dies - I used the largest die in the set to cut out the tag base. I then punched a whole at the top with 1/4" paper punch. 

Season's Greetings stamp set & companion dies - For the large Merry Christmas. The pink ones have been stamped with Catherine Pooler Party Dress ink. The red is CP Rouge ink. 

Woolen Mitten dies - For the holly leaves. 

Brilliant Banner 3 die - For the white banner I stamped to/from on.

Inside Greetings Seasons stamp set - For the to & from.

To make the tags extra special, I added a little clay peppermint piece to the holly leaves and tied a jingle bell to the ribbon. The finished tag with ribbon measures 6 inches tall and 4 inches wide. 

One time saving tip I wanted to pass along...  when you need many of the stamped and die cut Merry Christmas words, die cut several blanks first with the companion die. Then use the negative die cut in a Misti to line up the stamp in that negative space. Close the Misti lid to pick up the stamp and place a blank die cut Merry Christmas piece into that opening. Stamp as you normally would, repeating the process with all the blanks.

Roly Poly Penguins Holiday Gift Tags with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a quick and easy holiday tag idea featuring my favorite Roly Poly Penguins, Holiday Greetings and Scalloped Tags Square Dies. I love how quickly you can pull last minute tags together with these bold sentiments and penguins. Not only can tags add such a fun touch to a gift or gift bag, but they can also be used as a quick way to decorate a card front.

I used the larger die from the Scalloped Tags Square Dies to die cut six tags out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Post-its were used to mask off the scalloped edges of three of the tags before they were lightly inked with Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks.

I stamped the penguins from the Roly Poly Penguins stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays sentiments from the Holiday Greetings Stamps set with a red ink onto a piece of white cardstock. I used the coordinating Holiday Greetings Dies to die cut them out. I used the same dies to die cut an additional set out of white cardstock. I layered and adhered each of the sentiments with liquid adhesive for a bit of nicely secured dimension.

I trimmed the bottom part of the two larger penguins to make them look like they are on the inside of the tags. I adhered all of the sentiments and penguins to the inked tags with liquid adhesive. I used a white gel pen to add highlights to the elements.

I stamped a sentiment and the "To: and From:" from the Inside Greetings Seasons Stamps on the three remaining tags. I adhered these to the backside of the decorated tags for a more finished look. Finally, I finished each tag with a piece of bright and festive twine and a shiny bell.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Holiday Cards with Amanda Fitterer

Hey there, crafty friends! It's Amanda here sharing TWO cards I created using a similar layout!

This first card was so much fun to color! I started by ink blending my background. I used Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes and Dress Blues. Next, I stamped some snowflakes from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps all around the background with WOW! Embossing Glue Ink. I applied WOW! Disco Ball embossing powder to the glue and then melted the powder with my heat tool.

Next, I stamped my snowmen from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps. I colored them with Copic markers and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. Once I had the adorable snowmen and snowflakes ready, I placed my card front in my MISTI to stamp my sentiment. This sentiment is from the Inside Greetings Seasons Stamps.

Once I stamped my sentiment, I was able to adhere my snowmen and snowflakes to the card using 3D foam squares. The last step was to attach my card front to my card base with double sided tape.

My second card uses the same sentiment from the Inside Greetings Seasons Stamps! I also placed it in the same position on the card.

For this card, I used a piece of paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper for my background. I glued that directly to my card front, which is cut down to 3.75"x5". My sweet little kiddos are from the Toasty Hugs Stamps. I used Copic markers to color them in as well!

Toasty Hugs Card with Nicky

Happy Friday everyone, this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog where I'm sharing all the details for this card using the cute little Toasty Hugs stamp set. Read on for all the details.

Using Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink, I ink blended the winter sky on an A2 white panel of cardstock.

I die cut the Cityscape Border Die from white cardstock and glued this created panel to the sky.  Over this I layered two snow 'hills' made using the Slimline Nature Borders Die. This background panel was now ready to glue to my card base and set to one side.

I stamped the trees from Snowmen in Sweaters and the two kids from Toasty Hugs using black ink. I coloured with the following Copic markers:

Skin - E34, E11, E21
Hair Girl Left - E44, E43, E40
Hair Girl Right - E42, E40
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00
Green - G19, YG45
Red - R29, R24
White - C3, C1
Brown - E44, E43

I die cut the images, using the Snowmen in Sweaters Die and Toasty Hugs Die, and backed them with foam tape and attached them to the background.

For the finishing touches I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a red strip and attached with foam tape and I glittered the snow on the trees and then using a stylus and white acrylic paint, I dotted in the snow throughout the scene. Your snow will look far more authentic if you make sure to 'nick' the lines of some of your images as I have done and of course by dotting rather than splattering you have full control and won't spoil the faces on the characters etc.

Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencil Focused Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this holiday card featuring the mouse family again. This time, they're back for a Christmas adventure, whether they're busy decorating the tree, or enjoying some quiet time by the fireplace, or delivering presents larger than the chimney pipe! I love how this slimline card turned out, and how we get three mini scenes on one single card.

As very often, I started off by stamping all the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Cozy Christmas - armchairs, Christmas tree, cushions, lamp, glass of milk, presents • Santa Claus Lane - fireplace, chimney, stockings, sleigh, presents, baubles • Christmas Critters - mouse, reindeer antlers • Lazy Christmas - large presents • Merry Mice - mice, hat • Beach Bus - mouse • North Pole - cookie plate, presents • Harvest Mice - mouse.

Next I cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I divided in different sections, from bottom to top: floor, wallpaper, roof and sky. I started off with the floor, and created a base first using antique linen oxide ink. And to make a parquet floor, I used the Straight Stripes stencil along with vintage photo oxide ink to create a wood plank pattern. For the wallpaper, I did a base first using saltwater taffy oxide ink, and I used the Diagonal Stripes stencil along with worn lipstick oxide ink to add a nice pattern to my wall. I kept the roof simple, and did a 1/4" separation stripe using hickory smoke and black soot oxide inks. And finally I did the sky using salty ocean, prize ribbon and black soot oxide inks.

As always, I added texture to my background. I mixed some vintage photo oxide ink with water, and added splatters to the parquet floor. Mixed some worn lipstick oxide ink with water, and added splatters to the wall. Splattered water on the sky and dried the paper with a paper towel. Mixed some chipped sapphire oxide ink with water, added more splatters to the sky, and did the same with liquid stardust. Finally, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water, and added white splatters all over the panel.

Once the panel was dry, I white heat embossed "Merry Christmouse" from Merry Mice at the very bottom, and attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Added highlights and details to the images using a white gelly roll pen, a dot of glossy accents on the berries on the wall and lights in the tree, and to make the snow on the chimney sparkle, I added liquid glue, sprinkled fine glitter on the glue, let it dry and removed the excess of glitter with a fluffy brush.
