Puddle Jumpers Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm happy to be back on the blog with this super cute scene at the park by the pond featuring the adorable Puddle Jumpers!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Puddle Jumpers Card by Marine Simon (featuring Sprawling Surfaces, Balloon Rides, Country Scenes, Spring Scenes)

As very often I picked a bunch of images from different sets (listed down below) to make my card, and started off by stamping them all on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Here is a detailed list of the items I used on this card:

• Puddle Jumpers - girl, ducks, umbrella
• Sprawling Surfaces - pavement
• Balloon Rides - clouds, sun, small trees
• Critters On The Go - dog
• Country Scenes - pond, cattails, waterlilies
• Spring Scenes - park, big trees

Once everything was colored, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and colored the top using a cloud stencil from my stash along with lost shadow and hickory smoke oxide inks. Next I white heat embossed my "A little ray of sunshine is on the way" greeting from Puddle Jumpers at the bottom of the pond section, and then attached everything on my bristol panel using foam squares. And as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

And that's it! Love this cute and busy little scene, love those sweet ducks! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Beautiful Bluebells Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am back on the blog with a gorgeous layering stamp set called Beautiful Bluebells and it’s coordinating dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beautiful Bluebells Birthday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Layered Basket, Window Quad Dies)

With these sets I always like to start with die cutting all the shapes from white Neenah card stock. I keep this paper to put into my Misti to do all the stamping. The die cut pieces will fit into this sheet as little puzzle pieces. And so, I can stamp multiple flowers at the same time, building them up layer by layer. For the flowers I used several blue and green inks from my stash.

Another trick I always use when doing layered stamping is to use the sheet the stamps come on as a guide for positioning. I saw this once in a card making video and have been doing this technique ever since.

Knowing the flowers would really be very bright and the star of the show, I needed a toned-down background with still some interest to it. I created a white panel with the Frilly Frames Chevron dies and added it to a white card base. To make this background more dimensional, I added foam tape to the frame and some of the chevron strips. Other strips were just glued to the base.

The Beautiful Bluebells are a perfect match for the large Layered Basket Stamps. I stamped just two layers of this set in a pale pink ink from my stash. Then I fussy cut the basket and made the edges a little darker by adding extra ink with a blending brush.

The little tag was made with dies from the Window Quad Square set. I had to trim it a bit to make it fit the basket. Next, I stamped the sentiment from Truckloads Of Love in the same pink ink as used before. After wrapping a piece of white twine around the basket I adhered it to the background with foam tape and added the tag with a little bow.

For the beautiful bouquet, I just started gluing the biggest flowers to the chevron panel with a repositionable tape runner so I could arrange the composition while adding more flowers. Next, I sprinkled some white paint splatters over the whole card front. Several Pure White Jewels were added across the design as a finishing touch.

Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Sprawling Surfaces Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with you sharing a fun scene featuring the Sprawling Surfaces stamps. I made this a bit whimsical and colorful card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sprawling Surfaces Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Francy Frame Dies, Charming City, Garden Fairy, Lovely Lilacs)

I started by die-cutting the square frame using the Fancy Frames Squares dies. Sponge a white panel using salty ocean distress ink to create the sky. Next stamp the brick path, color using copics and adhere to the base of the panel.

Stamp the images, color and die-cut:
Bushes, leaves, sentiment - Lovely Lilacs stamps and dies
Fairy, snail - Garden Fairy stamps and dies
Houses - Charming City stamps and dies

Adhere the images onto the sky panel. Stamp the sentiment. Adhere this panel behind the frame using 3 d foam. To finish, add some glitter to the fairy wings.

Tree Branch Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hello friends! Leanne here and today I'm sharing an easy to make birthday card. I've created an outdoor scene featuring two sweet birdies and their neighboring houses hanging from a tree branch.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tree Branch & Little Birdie Birthday Card by Leanne West (featuring Fluffy Cloud Border Dies, Build-A-Birdhouse Dies)

Now of course my branch and birdhouse scene first needed a pretty sky background. I used the Fluffy Cloud Border dies to cut masks for creating some soft billowy clouds with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.

Next I used the Tree Branch and Build-a-Birdhouse die sets for the branches, birdhouses, and little birds. I die cut all the pieces from white card stock. I used small blending brushes and the following Distress Oxide inks to color: Blueprint Sketch, Tattered Rose, Rustic Wilderness, Crushed Olive, Kitsch Flamingo, Wild Honey, and Walnut Stain. I added all the die cut elements onto the background with thin foam adhesive so they all would be popped up a bit.

For the birthday sentiment I used stamps from the Little Birdie stamp set. There's separate words and short phrase stamps in this set. That made it easy to customize a birthday greeting and integrate it into the scene in three places.  Lastly, I trimmed the completed scene panel down to be slightly smaller than A2 size and adhered it to a pale yellow card base.

Big Bunny Card with Tammy

Hello friends! Tammy here with an Easter themed project, featuring one of my all time favorite stamp sets, Big Bunny.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Bunny Easter Cards by Tammy Stark (featuring Gift Card Envelope Dies, Stitched Arch Dies, Mini Grass Border Dies, Fancy Frame Dies)

To make the card, I started by cutting pink patterned paper from the Spring Fling Paper to an A2 size. I then die cut a window using the largest die from the Stitched Arch Diesand adhering to a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock (that was inked with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide in) with foam tape. Using the Mini Grass Border Dies, I die cut a grassy border from the Spring Fling Paper, and attached it to the bottom of the arch with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images from the Big Bunny Stampcolored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Big Bunny DiesI attached the Big Bunny images to the arch opening with foam tape for dimension, then attached the sentiment, that was stamped in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink. Lastly, I added a white frame, die cut twice using the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies stacking them together and attaching to the front of my card to finish!

I had so much fun creating little shaped cards for Valentine's day, I had to create another for Easter! To begin, I stamped the images from the Big Bunny Stampcolored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Big Bunny DiesNext, I created the mini card by scoring a piece of white cardstock in half, then placed the Big Bunny Die just slightly over the edge of the fold and ran it through my die cut machine. I then glued the colored bunny image to the front of the mini card.

Using the Gift Card Envelope DiesI die cut a little floral envelope from the Spring Fling Paper. I stamped the sentiment from Big Bunny in lavender ink and attached them to the front of the gift card envelopes with foam tape to complete my project!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!!
