Mini Mat & Tag Die Focused Cards with Alma and Marie

Hello, my dears. It's Alma and today I'd like to present you my great passion: crafting with tags! I think you can use them in all situations! I was so excited that Sunny Studio Stamps released a Mini-Mat and Tag Dies series this year. So awesome and versatile! I chose the Mini Mat & Tag 1 Dies and used them for a Diagonal Double Pocket card. You can find instructions here. 

First of all, I punched out the tags from light blue cardstock. Then I stamped the alpacas from the Alpaca Holiday Stamps set and coloured them with Copics. For the fluffy piles of snow I used the Fluffy Clouds Border Dies. I used design paper from the All is Bright 6x6 Paper pad to decorate the card. Just love the turquoise snowflake paper. 

For the background design, I punched the birch tree trunks from the Rustic Winter Dies set and punched the Scalloped Fence Dies. 

Now stamp all the texts, glue everything together, write nice winter and Christmas thoughts on the tags.... and the winter wish card is ready.

Hello Crafty Friends, Marie here! I am super excited to be back on the blog to share my latest project with you! Tags are one of my favorite things about gift giving! It is a charming little detail that makes giving gifts to friends and loved ones even more personalized and special. Today I am sharing three Christmas Tags created using three of the newly released Mini Mat and Tag Die Sets. I also dressed up my tags using images from the beautiful Classy Christmas Stamp Set. 

I started off by die cutting three tags from solid 110lb Neenah Solar White Cardstock. I used the Tag dies from the Mini Mat & Tag 1 Dies, Mini Mat & Tag 2 Dies and Mini Mat and Tag 3 Dies. After cutting out the tags, I cut all the tag tops from  from Gold cardstock. I also die cut all the tags again using craft paper and Attached them to the backs of all the tags. For the front of my dies, I die cut the Mini Mat & Tag 2 again using craft cardstock and attached it to the front of my tag. For my other 2 tags I used the rectangle die from set 3 to create rounded rectangle centers for my other 2 tags. I splattered watered down acrylic paint to all the craft cardstock fronts. 

For my Christmas images, I used Distress Ink in the color Antique Linen to stamp them onto watercolor paper. I then used Derwent Inktense water soluble pencils to watercolor  my images in a traditional red and green palette. I then adhered all my gold tag tops to each corresponding tag using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I added some gold trim to 2 of my tags and attached my images. I propped up some of the images using foam tape for some dimension. For my poinsettia tag, I used some Sunny Studio Gold Jewels embellishments, flipping them over to expose the shiny diamond side. 

On the back of my tags, I used the Loopy Letters Dies to create my "To". For the  finishing touch to my tags, I added some red and white Christmas Twine and Gold Twine to the tops of all my tags.

Winter Wreaths Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone! Isha here with a festive season's greetings featuring the Winter Wreath stamp and coordinating dies. I usually go with teals and pinks but these days I am loving the mint coral combo. 

To start, I dry embossed the Frilly Frame Quatrefoil cover plate. I used the reverse side of it. Sponge some lucky clover distress oxide ink onto this piece. Cut it to 5 by 3.75 inches. Flick gold paint to this. 

Stamp the wreath, bow and the berries from the Winter Wreath stamp set, I love the layering stamping of the bow. Add details to the berries using a copic marker. Die-cut the images using the coordinating dies. Adhere these images to the mat layer using liquid glue and some 3D foam.

Adhere this layer to a white card base. Stamp the sentiment from the Season's Greetings stamp set. I used various ink shades to get the ombre effect. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere to the card.

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun project. Christmas is just around the corner and I am sure you are all looking for some inspiration to mass produce cards! This one isn’t quite CAS, but if you die cut all the products in multiples and stamp them in one go, you might be able to finish each card in under 30 minutes. 

I first started off by stamping and die cutting all the elements from Winter Wreath. Then, using my silhouette cameo, I cut the large J and Y and also cut the outline using 0.4” offset. 

Adhered all the elements on some handmade paper (love the texture!) and included a heat embossed sentiment from Penguin Party to finish my card.

Penguin Party Cards with Bobbi and Cathy

Hi there. It’s Bobbi here with a festive load of cuteness to share. I’m using the new Penguin Party stamp set and coordinating die set and let me tell you, there are a whole lot of cute penguins in this set! I couldn’t choose my favorite so I used almost all of them on my one-layer card today. These little guys are so festive that you’ll want to add them to all your holiday gift tags and greetings.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by stamping all my penguins on my 5″ X 7″ card front panel cut from 80lb Neenah Solar Crest white cardstock. I used the same cardstock for my card base, too. I stamped all the penguins at once using my MISTI stamp tool, positioning them in clean columns and rows, along with a sentiment from the set. You can make lots of these one-layer cards for the holidays once you have the stamps in place on your MISTI grid. Just ink up and stamp over and over.  It’s so easy and great for mass production of cards for the holidays.

I colored the penguins on the card front in shades of red, pink and green to contrast with the penguins’ colors of black and white. To make the penguins stand out, I added shading to their bodies and around each image using cool grays to make them “pop” off the page. This is a great trick when you are creating one-layer cards. The shadowing creates the look of dimension on the flat surface. 

Here are the Copic Sketch Marker colors I used:
Reds: R29, R17, R14
Greens: YG67, YG17, YG 13, YG03
Pinks: RV55, RV02
Oranges: YR09, YR68, YR15 (for beaks and feet)
Cool Grays: 100, C8, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0 (for penguin bodies and shadowing)
Plus, a Gelly Roll White Gel pen for the fur trim on the hats and earmuffs

To finish the card front, I die cut all the penguins, using the coordinating die set, out of scrap paper, positioned them over the penguins (no adhesive used) along with a rectangle over the sentiments and splattered the entire front with black watercolor paint, mixed with a little water, to create the random splatter background. The light splatter dries quickly. I removed the masks and attached the card front to the card base.

Inside the card base, I stamped more sentiments from the set along with a few little accent images/”little things” from the set to connect to the phrase. I used my MISTI tool again to position all these little images and then stamped them all at one time.

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I’ve got some partying penguins to share having some fun for the Holidays!

 

I wanted to create an arctic scene for them, so I’ve combined several background stamps and elements which work so perfectly with these adorable penguins. To start, I die-cut a frame from a soft creamy yellow cardstock using a Fancy Frames Rectangle Die and adhered it to a pink A2 card base. For the background scene, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a Stitched Rectangle Die and inked the top 2” of the cardstock with Spun Sugar and Saltwater Taffy Distress inks. I colored the water at the bottom 2” of the cardstock with Copics using random streaking motions with BG49, BG57, BG34, BG23, BG13, and BG11. I heat embossed the sentiment along the bottom with white embossing powder.

 

For the mountain scene, I cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock 3” x 5 1/2", stamped the mountains from the Country Scenes Stamps across the top and colored it with Copics. I die-cut along the top of the mountain scene using the coordinating dies and die-cut along the bottom of the cardstock piece using a Slimline Nature Borders Die. To keep a continuous stitched look around the panel, I die-cut the sides of this cardstock piece using the same Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered the mountain piece to the sky/water cardstock piece about 1/2" from the top edge.

 

I stamped all the images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them. The penguins from the Penguin Party Stamps are just adorable and fit perfectly on ice floats from the Winter Scenes Stamps and Bear Hugs Stamps. The Christmas tree from the Cozy Christmas Stamps helped to complete my festive scene along with a slightly smaller pine tree from the Seasonal Trees Stamps.
