Designer's Choice Cards with Gladys and Alma

Hello everyone! Gladys here with a cute baby card using the adorable Baby Elephant stamps and dies.

First I began with an A2 size panel cut from Bristol smooth cardstock. I created the background using distress oxide inks. I used a cloud stencil on the bottom half of the panel with the color tumbled glass. For the top half I used chipped sapphire on the outer edge and tumbled glass in the center. For interest I splattered water droplets, diluted chipped sapphire, and diluted bleed proof white paint using a small fan brush.

While waiting for the panel to dry I chose three images from the Baby Elephant stamp set. I stamped them onto 110lb cardstock and colored with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next I adhered the images with double sided foam tape to give dimension. For the sentiment I white heat embossed on vellum. For a final touch I scattered a bunch of small iridescent stars all over the panel. That completes my card, I hope you like it. Have a wonderful day!

Hello, this is Alma and today I want to show you a summerly beach card. As a basis for my card, I chose the frame die from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die set. This is a great way to create several small scenes on a card that fit together perfectly.

 

First I stamped the images from the Sealiously Sweet Stamps, Ocean View Stamps and Beach Buddies Stamps sets and coloured them with Copics. I coloured the seals in warm shades of gray and gave their fur a bit of structure with dots and a white gel pen.

 

Then I wiped beach backgrounds with Distress Inks and glued everything together. The figures are glued on with 3d pads. Finally, I punched out the speech bubble from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die Set and stamped the text on it. The card is ready!

Designer's Choice Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone! Isha here and this week we are given a designer's choice as our theme. I decided to make a full shaker card using the Fintastic Friends stamps and dies. I really love all the illustrations on this set.

To start, I sponged peacock feathers, blueprint sketch, salty ocean and chipped sapphire distress inks to a white cardstock. Add some sun rays reflection by sponging some more ink through a stencil. Stamp the baubles using blueprint sketch ink, add details using white gel pen. Stamp all the images using alcohol friendly ink, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere some of the images to this piece.

I then created the shaker pocket around this piece using the Waffle Flower A2 shaker pocket. Fill in chunky glitter, seed beads and some iridescent baubles.

Die-cut a sea bed using the Slimline Nature Border dies. Sponge antique linen, vintage photo inks, flick some of the same ink. Adhere to the front of the shaker pocket. Adhere the rest of the images. Thank you for dropping by. Have a nice day!

Hi folks, Kavya here with another fun project! I love it when I find some unexpected combinations or scenes in a children’s book that inspires my next card like the one today. Yes, I love browsing through children’s book just for inspiration even though I have no kids of my own! They are BEST places for possible critter scenes. 

I first started off my card by ink blending the background using Seedless Preserves, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink. Then, I splattered some white paint for stars and created some more using a white gel pen. 

Then, I colored a bunch of images from Spring Scenes and Baby Elephants. Finally, I finished it off by adding a sentiment from Inside Greetings - Congrats and a thin border from a generic die :)
