Tiki Time Cards with Mayra and Ashley

Hello and happy Monday everyone. Mayra here with you today. I am sharing this fun card using the super cute new Tiki Time stamp set.  

I began by coloring all of the images I would use for the card with Copic markers. I used bright colors. I thought they would be perfect for this summer-themed card.

For the pink areas, I used RV52, RV17, and RV04. For the green, I used YG01, FYG1, YG17, YG67, and G28. For the browns, I used E41, E31, E55, E35, E42, E44, E87, and E47. For the yellow, I used Y11, Y08, Y19, and YR24.  

Next, I die-cut the base panel using the larger of the rectangles from the Stitched Rectangle Dies set. I then die-cut the sand area and ocean waves borders using the Slimline Nature Borders die set. Next, I added the colors to the base panel using Pinkfresh Studio Ink in Apricot and Clementine (from the Indian Summer set), Innocent Pink (Gina K. Designs inks), Peach Bellini (Gina K. Designs inks), Dusty Rose (Gina K. Designs inks). Then I went over those colors with Distress Oxide inks in the colors Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Blueprint Sketch. For the sand area, I used Gathered Twigs and Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks. For the ocean border, I used Cracked Pistacchio and Peacock Feathers.

Hello friends! It’s Ashley today with a super cute beach scene featuring the new Tiki Time set! The tiki hut is beyond adorable and can be combined with so many of your favorite Sunny Studio characters! For my card this week, I added the koala from Beach Buddies as my tiki hut dweller!

I started by blending Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, and Mermaid Lagoon onto white cardstock. I added some small water splatters for a bit of interest, then used the largest Stitched Rectangle die to add the stitched border. I added the ink blended piece to a piece of tropical leaf patterned paper from the Summer Splash paper pack.

I stamped my images from Tiki Time in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto white cardstock. I also stamped the koala from Beach Buddies and the palm tree and coconuts from Seasonal Trees. Seasonal Trees really is a must have set if you like to make scenes - I use it all the time! Once I had everything stamped out, I colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the matching dies. I arranged the images on the card, popping several up for dimension. I finished with the “aloha” sentiment from Tiki Time stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with white. Did you notice that it’s in a new font? Love!

Color My World Cards with Leanne

Hello there! Leanne here and I'm excited to be back on the blog sharing three colorful cards featuring images from a brand new stamp set called Color My World. I have to say, this new layering set may just be my all time fav from Sunny Studio. 

It was so much fun stamping out the cute little crayons and pencils in all the colors. I was blown away by how real the completed images looked. Today I'm sharing fun ways to use the crayons and pencils to create some clean and simple cards.   

As I was stamping out crayons, I thought how fun it would be to use them to create custom block style letters. With a little experimenting and some creative cutting, I found it was very easy to form the letters I needed to spell out the word "thanks". And it just so happened that word perfectly fills the space of a slimline card. You could use any colors for stamping out the crayons but I think the rainbow color scheme is very fitting and makes a great teacher thank you card. I've listed the ink colors I used for my stamping at the end of the post.  

I had several crayons left over that I didn't use on the slimline so I decided to make another thank you card. This time I used the crayons to frame up the sentiment on an A2 size card. I used a Rainbow Bright striped patterned paper to cover the card front. I then added the Frilly Frames Polka Dot layer. On top of that I added a white card stock panel trimmed to 4.25" x 3". That size worked best to create my crayon border around the sentiment. I used the new Chloe Alphabet dies for the letters to spell out "thank you". This design would be quick and easy to mass produce for making a gift set of thank you cards.

For my last card, I decided again to create custom letters for the sentiment. This time I used the pencil image to make the word "hi". I covered my A2 card front with another Rainbow Bright patterned paper.  Added the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace layer. I trimmed some good old spiral notebook paper to 4.75" by 3.5". I backed the notebook paper with white card stock since it's very thin and a little see through. I adhered the letters and added the finished panel over top the black scalloped frame to complete this cute simple note card. This is another design that could easily be mass produced.

Chloe Alphabet Focused Cards with Candice and Tammy

Hi crafty friends! It's Candice with you as we start the new Sunny Studio release and I am highlighting the awesome new Chloe Alphabet dies!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my slimline design:

I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base. For the background, I first die cut the scalloped panel with Kraft cardstock and die cut the stitched panel from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used a cloud stencil I created from the slimline nature borders dies and inked the clouds with salty ocean and backed it with white cardstock. I then die cut the grass and inked it with mowed lawn and shabby shutters.

Next, I stamped the adorable hamsters, trees, flowers and butterflies from the stamps listed above, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I cut the little paws to hold onto the fence and tucked the hamsters and fences behind the foam tape raised grass. I then cut out the MISSING from worn lipstick inked cardstock and topped it off with the "you" cut from the Kraft. I finished by sprinkling the scene with flowers and butterflies!

Hi friends! Tammy here sharing a fun and bright Tropical card featuring the whimsical new Chloe Alphabet dies. I absolutely love creating fun and playful sentiments on my cards, and this new alphabet die fits the bill and will be one I reach for regularly! 

To begin, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 3.75 X 5.5". I used the Stitched Circle Large Dies to cut a circle which will create a nice little focal point for my little tropical scene! Next, I ink bended Bristol smooth cardstock with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I then cut a sandy border and wavy border using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, and attached them to make background, making sure it fit within the circle frame. I then cut a piece of yellow paper A2 sized from the Sleek Stripes Paper and mounted it onto a white card base. I attached the ink blended background, then the white circle frames piece was attached with foam tape for dimension.

Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:
Tiki Time/ Coordinating Dies
Tropical Scenes/ Coordinating Dies

I arranged the colored images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I die cut the word "ALOHA" 3 times from bright pink cardstock using the Chloe Alphabet dies and stacked together to create a bold sentiment to complete my card.

Color My World Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a thank you card using the new set Color My World. I love the elements in this set! Who doesn't like crayons, pencils and paint brushes? For today's card, I kept it pretty clean and simple.

I first stamped the lines onto a white card base, using the shape that is supposed to be a pencil from the set. Then I adhered a strip of black striped patterned paper to the bottom of the card. After I had stamped the sentiment, I stamped all the crayons in matching colors to the lines onto a separate piece of cardstock.

Building up these images layer by layer is such fun! Find detailed lists of color combos for stamping the layered images by Mendi here! I fussy-cut the crayons and adhered them to the card with foam tape. Finally, I added matching gemstones to the card.

Hi everyone, Anja here and I'm so excited for the new Summer Release which is jam-packed with lots of fun and cute products. My first project features the Color My World Stamps.

I created a CAS card using the crayons which I stamped in rainbow colors with dye inks (you can find the ink colors below). I also cut some skinny strips from matching patterned paper (Rainbow Bright Paper and Sleek Stripes Paper) and adhered them to a white A2 card base.

Altenew Dye Inks used:
Purple: Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris, Midnight Violet
Blue: Sea Breeze, Turquoise, Tide Blue, Starlight
Green: Bamboo, Parrot, Olive, Moss
Yellow: Buttercream, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee
Orange: Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Firebrick
Red: Blush+Peach Perfect, Heart Beat, Ruby Red, Velvet
Pink: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry

Next, I cut out the crayons with the coordinating die and lined them up on the right edge of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Over The Rainbow set in VersaMark Ink onto a white cardstock strip and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I popped it up with foam tape and added Iridescent Jewels to finish off the card.
