Merry Christmas From Our Home To Yours Card by Lexa

Hello everyone. Lexa here again with another inspiration for a holiday theme card. I mixed non-holiday stamps and paired them with a Christmas sentiment. I must say that I love how it turned. I've never seen real snow in my life (ever), but I imagine it would be pretty to see snow falling on Christmas night.

I don't know if you notice it or not, but I used the panel with the Sunny Semi Circles dies that was a leftover from my last card. Never waste them, I'm pretty much a scrapper. Hehe. I stamped some images from different sets :

- The house and mailbox are from Happy Home
- The trees are from Gleeful Reindeer
- The lights and the dog are from City Streets

I stamped all of them with Versafine black ink and watercolored them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring, I die-cut all of them with the coordinating dies which was a time saver. I blended Peacock Feathers Distress Ink in the background and then added some snow with a white gel pen. I also added some snow on all the images in the scene, letting a snow marker do it's magic. For an extra sparkle I added Stardust Stickles on the night sky.  It looks so pretty. I stamped the Merry Christmas from Merry Sentiments stamp followed by "from our to yours" from Happy Home stamp set. As a last step, I added the scenery on a piece of burlap with foam tape. Here's a closer look...

Festive Holly & Candy Striped Merry Card with Vanessa

Hi everybody! Vanessa here with a shiny, glittery Christmas card using various stamps and dies. I had this metallic candy cane striped patterned paper in my stash and wanted to use it for a card base:

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Sentiments Holly Christmas Card by Vanessa Menhorn.

First, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment from Merry Sentiments onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the card that I had made from the patterned paper. Now I applied Versamark ink onto a small piece of red cardstock, applied red glitter embossing powder and heat-embossed this. Then I die-cut the merry from it, as well as from black fun foam, layered the die-cuts and adhered them to the card. Using an ink blending tool, I applied green ink to a scrap of white cardstock, die-cut the holly leaves from it and adhered them. Finally, I added red "sequinberries" to the leaves.

All that glitter. It's really difficult to show on a photo, but let me assure you, it is very festive irl :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Wishing You A Merry Christmas Card With Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today sharing a card using Holiday Style, Merry Sentiments, and the new Merry word die. All the new holiday sets just work so well together. It's fun to mix and match them to create different looks. Let's get started on how this card came together.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Holiday Style and Merry Sentiments Christmas Card by Lindsey Sams.

I began by cutting a scalloped rectangle out of gold glitter paper. Then, I cut a smaller stitched rectangle from Kraft card stock. I used the branch from Holiday Style  to create an evergreen tree on the left side of the Kraft rectangle. After I finished the tree, I used a white gel pen to add "snow" to the edge of the branches. Then I stamped part of my sentiment from Merry Sentiments in black. I left a space for the Merry die cut in between. I cut the Merry die three times from red card stock and stacked them together to add some dimension to the card. To finish the card off, I added some snowflakes from the Bundled Up stamp set and some white dots with my gel pen.

I love how this card turned out. I think it looks very elegant with the gold trim and bright red "Merry" just popping off the card. It was relatively simple to create, and I hope you'll give these sets a try yourself. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Comfy Creatures Celebrate the Holidays with Video by Emily

Sunny Studio Stamps: Comfy Creatures & Merry Sentiments Eat, Drink & Be Merry Christmas Card by Emily Leiphart.

Today, I used four stamp sets and a stand-alone die to create a festive party! Oh, how I love those Comfy Creatures! I wanted to create a little family that mimics the Minecraft costumes my family made for Halloween. Since there was no beaver, I used the bear from Sending My Love. I almost drew in a couple of big teeth. LOL My son was a koala bear for his third Halloween and he used to call himself our little koala bear so that's what I used for him. Naturally, I'm a panda! ;)

Since I didn't have the coordinating dies for Sending My Love, I used the panda head die and it worked very well. I know that the koala bear isn't wearing any clothes but my son is loving his winter mittens and gloves right now so I figured it looked enough like gloves to work. Plus, the drumstick looked odd sitting there without hands holding it.

The stamped part of the sentiment is from Merry Sentiments. I layered the glitter gold Merry Word Die with two layers of craft-a-board to give it dimension to match the critters.

The food items are from Summer Picnic and they work so well for this festive scene! All of the stamping was done with Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink and heat embossed with sparkle clear embossing powder. It adds glitter without making a mess! I used washes of colour in the background that mimics the colours I used to colour the critter family.

Holiday Style Sending Joy Card with Eloise

Hello everyone! Eloise here and today I'm making another fun card using the Holiday Style stamp set. This one is my personal favourite from the release, I love them all but this one.. it's just gorgeous! So, I decided to use it again today for the look I originally intended to go for. I used some pigment inks along with some more pastel-y, more soft colours for the ornaments and branches too, to create this card here and I love how it turned out, even if stamping a sentiment did take four attempts.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Holiday Style Pastel Ornament Card by Eloise Blue.

So to begin my card today I stamped out all of my ornaments and branches onto some white cardstock in various colours of pigment inks. I used my MISTI to help stamp them all out, these are pretty easy to line up, but the branches I wanted some variation in colour to them, so re stamping the branches was a lot easier with the MISTI tool.

Once I stamped them all out, I used the matching dies to cut all my pieces out. I then applied liquid adhesive to the branch in the back and stuck that down to a kraft panel. I then used foam adhesive and places that on the back of the rest of the pieces and adhered it down into place too. Once I had my layout sorted out, I was going to draw some lines on for the strings, but I didn't want to ruin my card if I didn't like them, so I pulled out some grey thread and decided to thread on the ornaments to the branches, to give a little more texture and I really love how it turned out! I could have tied a bow at the top of each of them, but since the card was quite busy already I didn't want to go over board.

Before stamping the sentiment, I decided to go ahead and add some white dots to the background, so I used a white gel pen and added some in the background, fading down to the bottom of the card. I then needed to stamp my sentiment. As mentioned before after 4 attempts I finally liked something. For my first attempt, I stamped the sentiment crooked in the bottom left hand corner, so then I tried to cover it up with a strip, but the strip had to be too thick and the large strip just looked too awkward. Then I decided to cut the kraft piece at an angle, to cut off the failed sentiment and then at this point I embossed the sentiment directly on the white card base and adhered the kraft piece on top, but again I didn't like it so I pulled off the panel, ditched the card base and decided to go with a small sentiment from the Gleeful Reindeer set and heat embossed 'Sending Joy' on a white banner with some silver embossing powder and adhered that in the top right hand corner and I liked that a lot better!

To finish up the card, I then added some Wink of Stella onto the ornaments to make them sparkle and shine!

Thanks for stopping by today I hope you got inspired. Make sure you stop by the blog the rest of the week for more inspiration!
