Santa's Helpers Merry & Bright Puppy Dog Card by Melissa

Hello everyone, Melissa here. Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you using the Santa’s Helpers stamp set and coordinating dies. This die set not only comes with the dies to cut out the little critters but it also comes with some bonus word dies, which are amazing!  I decided to use some of these for my card today.

Sunny Studio Santa's Helpers Puppy Dog in Gift Box Holiday Christmas Card by Melissa Bowden.

To make my card I first laid the merry & bright dies out where I wanted them on a piece of white cardstock, held them in place with some post it tape and ran them through my Big Shot. I also die cut an arch out of the top of the card with a hill border die. I then stuck this piece of card on top of a piece of patterned paper. After that I had to stick the tiny pieces of the die back in place to make the negative space in the middle of some of the letters.

Once that was done I stamped the little dog in the gift box from the stamp set. I colored him in using Copic markers and added little dots to the gift box with a gel pen. To finish off the card I mounted it onto a piece of black card stock.

I hope you enjoyed the card for today!  While you're here we also would like to share with you our sneak peek of the day with another look at some of the images from "A Good Egg".  This set was designed with scene building in mind.  The little bow tie can be stamped on the little chick or left off.

Sunny Saturday Share: Red, Black & White Christmas Cards

Happy Saturday!  Can you believe we're only 12 days away from Christmas Eve?  That's crazy, right?  Well, we have two really cute Christmas cards to share to inspire you in your holiday card making.

Up first is a darling shaker card using our Santa's Helpers stamp set by Cindy Horvath over at the Mod Squad Challenge blog.  I am in love with her red, black and white color scheme and the cute way she heat embossed her background with the alternating paw prints and snowflakes!

Up next we have a super cute card by Nikosinas using our Bundled Up stamp set. Isn't her use of negative space with her snowflake background so much fun?!

I hope you will leave these ladies some much deserved love and as always we would love to see your lovely creations using our stamps and dies.  You just might be the next person to be featured here on our Sunny Saturday Share.  ;)

Before I leave you today, it's time for another sneak peek at our Spring Release coming out on December 26th.  This is a second look at our stamp set called Backyard Bugs with a toadstool house, mushroom, a caterpillar and some fun little ladybugs.  I created my first card with this set earlier this week and I am loving all the scene building possibilities!  :)

I hope the rest of your weekend is happy!

Snow Kissed Penguin Snowflakes Card with Marion

Hello again. It's Marion here and I appreciate you dropping in on the Sunny Studio blog today. All week the DT have been creating with the Snow Kissed stamp set and today I have some more inspiration for you.

I started by stamping the penguin on the sled and die cutting it with its coordinating die. I die cut two of the images and adhered them together as it is suspended across the window opening on the front of the card, and I wanted it to be more sturdy. The window is a partial die cut of a circle die.

It's a bit easier to see the window opening in this photo. The image was coloured with Copic Markers and these little guys are so much fun to colour!

I stamped some subtle snowflakes from the same set in Versamark ink on the card front, before adhering some of the snowflakes die cuts from white card stock from the coordinating die set.

For the sneak peek of the day, we have a look at a new alphabet set coming soon called "Sweet Script".  This fun set is perfect for creating your own custom sentiments ( which is particularly helpful if English isn't your native language) and also for personalizing your projects and scrapbooks.  :)

Thanks for visiting today,

2015 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Welcome!  I'm thrilled to be a sponsor for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  You should be arriving here from SugarPea Designs or if you are just joining in, you can start at the beginning of the hop HERE.

In honor of the hop I created a special digital stamp set (Please note the digital version is no longer available, but will be available as a stamp set called Mug Hugs on 10/7/16).   I personally am a sucker for a good cup of hot cocoa so I wanted to make sure to create some images that could go either way, along with some fun sentiments to match.

To take advantage of the fact that digital stamps can be sized to whatever size you like, I decided to create a couple of shaped cards by enlarging the images.  Up first is a cup of hot cocoa.  Since I printed these on a regular ink jet printer, I knew the inks could run with Copic Markers and other wet pens so I chose to print them onto some fun Doodlebug patterned papers instead.

For my third card I used a more traditional approach to the digital stamps.  Another bonus to digital images is the ability to easily mirror the image so I used that to create this fun card which I printed out on my laser printer and colored with Copic Markers.

For my card background I imported the PNG version of the heart file and changed the fill color to a khaki to do a tone-on-tone print on my Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and then accentuated them with a E42 Copic Marker.

I couldn't resist creating one final card with the last image in the set.  I colored the mug to match my Doodlebug paper from their 6x6 Santa's Express pad, adding a little sparkle to the whipped cream using Stardust Stickles.

I hope you will join the blog hop and share your fun coffee, tea and hot cocoa inspired projects.  There are lots of prizes up for grabs for those who play along.  You can Link your projects at the start of this hop at the Coffee Lover Blog.  :)

Your next stop in the hop is The Ton.  I'm sure you're in for something amazing (I'm always a huge fan of all their gorgeous creations).

Thanks so much for stopping by.  :)

Snow Kissed Ice Skating Penguin Card with Elise

Hi everyone! It's Elise again to share a fun card that features the Snow Kissed stamp set and dies!

The penguin and ice are stamped onto white card stock and colored with Primsacolor pencils. I also really liked the extra snowflake dies that are included in the die set, so I cut those from white card stock to decorate around the image. For a fun detail, I added clear stickles to the snowflakes and ice! Here is close up on the penguin and glittery snowflakes:

Before I go here's a peek at a new die set coming soon.  This 4-1/2" wide by 4-1/4" high set has hearts of all sizes and creates stitched lines for both the negative and positive spaces,  making it perfect for creating shaped card bases, shaker cards, heart tags and other embellishments!  This die along with the rest of the Spring release will be available for sale on December 26th.

Thanks for stopping by! Stop by again tomorrow for some more inspiration featuring the Snow Kissed stamp set and another sneak peek! :)

Snow Kissed and Sledding card with Audrey

Hi there! Audrey here!  I've really been into purple for winter scenes lately, which it not usual for me, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts! :)  I just love the sledding penguin from the Snow Kissed stamp set, and since I hadn't used him yet, I figured it was time!

I watercolored a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper with Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet distress inks, with a hint of the darker purple coming up from behind the snowy hill.  I stamped, colored, and die-cut the penguin with the coordinating Snow Kissed die set.  I popped him up on the hill using foam tape, and stamped a sentiment, also from the Snow Kissed stamp set.  Finally, I stamped some periwinkle snowflakes before adding a scattering of sequins.  There are no rules in card making right? *wink*

That's it for me today!  Hope you enjoyed my card!

For today's peek at our Spring release we have a first look at a stamp set called "Sunny Borders".  This set is filled with 5 unique borders (which will coordinate with matching dies), 2 shadow stamps, a versatile banner and one sentiment.  It's an all around great basic set whether you're new to stamping or have been doing this a long time.  :)

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for more inspiration from the design team!  Have a great day!!

Snow Kissed Winter Penguins Card with Heidi

Hello everybody, Heidi here.  Welcome to the Sunny Studio Blog!  This week we are introducing the "Snow Kissed" stamp and its coordinated die set. I had to create this card with these adorable penguins having fun in the snowy hills!

For my card I stamped the penguin on the sled and the penguin on the skates, coloring them with Copic Markers.  I then created a winter scene using some snowy hills and mountains and framed them using some patterned paper.

I hand drew some string from the skater penguin to the sled, so it looks like the skater penguin is pulling the sled up the hill. You could also use real twine whichI think would be neat.  The "Snow Kissed" stamps and coordinated die are available at the Sunny Studio Stamp shop.

Before I go, we have another sneak peek to share with you.  Today is a look at a set designed to coordinating with yesterday's peek called "Sunny Sentiments".  All the images and sentiments are based around the word SUNSHINE!  This is going to be a great staple that will work with so many other sets and is perfect for scene building!

(Available for purchase on December 26th).

I hope you enjoyed today's card and I wish you a lovely day!
