A Cut Above Card with Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Catherine here! Today, I am sharing a cute scissors themed card created with A Cut Above Stamps. This set is super fun as it includes colored pencils, pushpins, notebook grids, and lines!

Sunny Studio Stamps: A Cut Above Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Beach Buddies, Slimline Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

To start, I die cut two pairs of scissors and four pushpins out of white cardstock. I put the negatives back into my Misti to use as a guide for stamping the layered stamps. I used the following inks:

Reds: Altenew Heart Beat, Ruby Red
Blues: Catherine Pooler Oh Boy, Something Borrowed
Greys: Pink Fresh Misty Coast, Tim Holtz Lost Shadow
Greens: Altenew Green Fields, Firefly
Yellows: Catherine Pooler Lemoncello, Catching Rays

I die cut the word “CUT” with Chloe Alphabet Dies three times out of white cardstock and ink blended one set of letters with Festive Berries, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. I glued the other two sets together and then glued the colored set on top.

Next, I stamped the panda and bunny from Beach Buddies Stamps and die cut with the coordinating Beach Buddies Dies. I colored the Panda and Bunny with Copic Markers listed in my blog link below.

Sunny Studio Stamps: A Cut Above Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Beach Buddies, Slimline Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

For the background, I die cut a stitched border onto 4” x 5.25” white cardstock using a rectangle die from my stash. I wanted to do something fun with the background so I stamped dotted lines using the same inks with a road stamp from Spring Scenes Stamps. I added grey dashes with a Grey Multi-liner. I cut the openings from the sides with a craft cutter and ruler and then I partially die cut the top of the openings with a stitched border die from Slimline Basic Border Dies. I adhered the white background onto paper from Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper.

I adhered all the images onto the front panel. I added White Heat Embossed sentiments from the same set. I finished off the card by adhering it onto A2 Vellum.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Please feel free to visit me at Crafti-Cat for a list of markers used. Have a wonderful week!

I ink blended several pieces of white cardstock with Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. Panda Party Cards with Marie and Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends, Marie here! Today I am sharing a playful birthday card featuring the adorable stamp set called Panda Party from Sunny Studio Stamps' most recent release! I love all the super cute panda images in this set! So perfect for crafting all year round.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Panda Party Birthday Card by Marie Marco (featuring Hayley Alphabet Dies)

My first step to creating this card was to die cut an A2 sized panel from a sturdy cardstock. I always use Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock for all my card bases so that my cards never warp. I then cut out an A2 sized pattern paper panel from the new Spring Fever Paper. I then attach this to the sturdy cardstock. I die cut 2 half circle shaped pieces from bristol smooth cardstock for easy ink blending. I ink blended the half circle background using Salvaged Patina distress ink . Taking the same ink, I splattered some watered down ink for a subtle texture. For the grass, I used a grass die to cut the bottom portion of the other half circle so it would match the background perfectly. I inked the grass using some Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.

To create the happy birthday sentiment, I combined the new Hayley Uppercase Alphabet Die with the Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies. I cut them out using a bright seafoam cardstock paper.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Panda Party Birthday Card by Marie Marco (featuring Hayley Alphabet Dies)

On to creating my scene! I stamped out all my images from the Panda Party Stamps using Antique Linen Distress Ink onto watercolor paper. I then used Faber - Castell Watercolor Pencils to color my images in the noline coloring style. I die cut all my images using the corresponding Panda Party Dies

Assembling my card is always the fun part! To do this, I play around with placement first before gluing anything. After finalizing the perfect scene, I used a combination of double sided tape adhesive, Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue, and Foam tape to adhere all my elements.

Finally, I added some fun little sparkle detailing with Stickles Glitter Glue on the bunting banner. And I used a white gel pen to create some very subtle white highlights on my letters.

And that does it for my birthday card inspiration for today!! Thank you so much for joining me! I will see you next time, but until then HAPPY CRAFTING!!!

Hello Crafty Friends! Catherine here, sharing a cheery Let’s Party card created with the adorable pandas from Panda Party Stamps!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Panda Party Birthday Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Bold Balloons, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

To start, I trimmed a piece of ribbon patterned paper from the Spring Fever Paper pack into size 4.25” x 5.5.” Next, I die cut a frame using Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. I trimmed a piece of vellum with my paper trimmer and adhered it onto the back of the frame.  I placed some Rainbow Dot Confetti onto the center of the card and adhered the frame onto the card with foam tape.

Using Bold Balloons Stamps and Bold Balloons Dies, I stamped and die cut the star balloons and confetti streamers (I used the streamers as the balloon string ends). I used the following Altenew ink colors:

Pink: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious
Orange: Autumn Blaze, Sunkissed
Yellow: Fresh Lemon, Citrus Burst
Green: Grass Field, Firefly
Blue: Persian Blue, Iceberg

Sunny Studio Stamps: Panda Party Birthday Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Bold Balloons, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

I added “PARTY” with Chloe Alphabet Dies die cut out of white cardstock onto the balloons. I stamped the pandas and party hats from Panda Party Stamps and die cut the images with Panda Party Dies.

I added the word “Let’s” from Silly Sloths. There is a large selection of colored envelopes A2 Rainbow Envelopes to coordinate with the card. As all the colors are so pretty, I couldn’t decide which one to use so I included an assortment in the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  For more inspiration, please feel free to visit me at Crafti-Cat.

Valentine's Day Cards with Vanessa and Tina

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a cute Valentine's Day card using Passionate Penguins.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Passionate Penguins Card by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Words Of Gratitude, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

I started with a white panel of cardstock and stamped the sentiments onto the background. After I had inked the panel, I adhered it to the white card base.

Used sets:
Passionate Penguins stamps
Words of Gratitude stamps
Chloe Alphabet Dies

Now I stamped the image, colored it with Copics, fussy-cut the piece and adhered it with foam tape. I die-cut the letters, colored them red and added them to the card. Finally, I drew highlights with a white gel pen.

Enjoy your weekend, thanks for stopping by today!

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a sweet Valentine’s Day card featuring the adorable Love Monkey stamp and die set! And of course I also had to include a big pink heart made with the largest of the Scalloped Heart dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Love Monkey Card by Tina (featuring Scalloped Heart Dies)

This heart was die cut from white Neenah paper and colored with distress oxides Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry. I used a blending brush to get a smooth coverage. My background was made from the same Neenah paper and dry embossed with the Quilted Hearts embossing folder. I love how this technique completely elevates the panel.

Next I stamped and colored all my images: two cute monkeys and branches from the Love Monkey set and several envelopes from Snail Mail. I selected a sentiment from Heart Bouquet and stamped it onto a small white banner. My favorite ink for sentiments is the Versafine Onyx Black because it always gives a clean and crisp result on the cardstock.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Love Monkey Card by Tina (featuring Scalloped Heart Dies)

I began to assemble the card by gluing the white embossed panel to a pink card base, creating a border for extra dimension. Next, I added the heart die cut with foam tape and started building my scene with all the images. I placed the sentiment banner below the heart. A few Heart Shaped Pearls were scattered onto the heart for extra shimmer and shine!

It’s great that these pearls come in different colors, so they match lots of pink or red shades in your projects. And that completes this cute Valentine’s card! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Penguin Party Cards with Tina and Vanessa

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina and today we are having a fun Penguin Party on the blog!! How sweet are these cuties from this new stamp and die set!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Party Holiday Card by Tina (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Winter Greenery, Wonky Window Dies)

I went with a traditional Christmas color scheme and selected a beautiful snowflake paper from the Joyful Holiday paper pad. I used a mini slimline die to create the base panel. Next, I die cut the Wonky Window Dies which are perfectly sized to fit the cute penguins. I also love that these dies come connected so no measuring for placement is needed!

Crafters can be hoarders. I had a large roll of pink glitter washi tape in my stash forever and I finally decided to use it as the backdrop for my critters, along with three little snowbanks from white cardstock. Then I selected three adorable penguins from the Penguin Party set, colored them with Copic markers and added highlights with a white gel pen.

The sentiment comes from the same set. The bold ‘Merry’ was created by die cutting the pink glitter washi tape (added to a piece of cardstock) with the Chloe Alphabet dies. For dimension I added two layers of white letters underneath the glittery ones. But the pink glitter wasn’t vibrant enough to my liking, so I used a Copic marker to color the letters red instead. A few small branches and berries from the Winter Greenery dies were cut as extra embellishments.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Party Holiday Card by Tina (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Winter Greenery, Wonky Window Dies)

To assemble the card, I added the pink glitter washi to the card base (after coloring the borders in the same red as the Merry sentiment), followed by the snowflake panel which I mounted with foam tape for dimension. After adhering the snowbanks, I included the penguins, gifts, greenery and finally the sentiment.

To make this card extra jolly, I adhered a little white pompom to each of the penguin’s hats. As a final embellishment I added a few of the Chrystal Clear Jewels scattered around the sentiment.

And so this sweet Christmas card is finished! Thank you for joining me on the blog and happy crafting!

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a colorful Penguin Party card + tag.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Party Holiday Card & Tag by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Mini Mat & Tag Dies, Slimline Dies)

I first die-cut the stitched panel using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies, masked off the five areas and inked them with Lucky Clover, Festive Berries, Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Party Holiday Card & Tag by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Mini Mat & Tag Dies, Slimline Dies)

After I had removed the masks, I adhered the piece to my card base.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Party Holiday Card & Tag by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Mini Mat & Tag Dies, Slimline Dies)

For the tag, I created my layers with the Mini Mat & Tag 3 Dies, inked them and assembled them with baker's twine. Now I stamped the penguins, colored them with Copics, die-cut the elements with the matching dies and adhered the pieces to the card and the tag with foam tape. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Jolly Gingerbread and added wood veneer stars.

I hope these cuties made you smile today! Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend!

Autumn Greenery Die Focused Cards with Tina and Vanessa

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a card that features the amazing new Autumn Greenery Dies! Such a versatile die set to have in your stash. It’s fun to combine a pile of leaves with some cute critters. I usually go for bright deep colors but today I wanted to achieve a more pastel look.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greenery Card by Tina (featuring Fall Friends, Chloe Alphabet Dies, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies)

First, I die cut a bunch of different shaped leaves from the set and started ink blending them with Distress Oxides, I used Salvaged Patina, Saltwater Taffy, Spiced Marmelade, Squeezed Lemonade and Vintage Photo.

Next, I stamped and die cut my adorable critters from the sets Fall Friends and Beach Buddies. The little acorns are also from that first set. All the coloring was done with Copic markers, and I used my trusty white gel pen for some highlights on the images. For my background panel, I selected a beautiful blue gingham paper from the new Joyful Holiday paper pad.

Next, I die cut an oval from Neenah Solar White card stock with the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 set. This will be the base for my little Autumn scene. I wanted to create a huge pile of leaves for the critters to play hide and seek in. After adhering the leaves to the oval, I added the critters and the little acorns.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greenery Card by Tina (featuring Fall Friends, Chloe Alphabet Dies, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies)

The Chloe Alphabet Dies are perfect to customize your sentiments. To give the letters some dimension I die cut them 3 times from Neenah White card stock and once from the gingham paper. I stacked the letters using liquid glue and added them to the card.

Finally, I stamped the word ‘Happy’ from the Fall Friends set and mounted it with foam tape onto the oval frame. As embellishment I put in two extra acorns left and right of the sentiment. I added foam tape to the blue background panel and mounted it to an orangey brown card base.

That finishes my pastel Autumn card, thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting!

---------------------------------------

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a slimline fall card using the Autumn Greenery Dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greenery Card by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Slimline Dies, Everyday Greetings, Pumpkin Patch Dies)

I first created my leaves, starting with a panel of watercolor paper. I smeared the Distress Oxide inks Carved Pumpkin, Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade, Preserved Seeds and Kitsch Flamingo onto an acrylic block, spritzed this with water and applied the ink to the paper with a freeze bag. You can find a little video about that process here.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greenery Card by Vanessa Menhorn (featuring Slimline Dies, Everyday Greetings, Pumpkin Patch Dies)

After I had dried the colors, I die-cut the leaves from the panel. Next, I die-cut the rectangle from white cardstock, using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies and inked the panel with Wilted Violet and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks. Then I adhered the leaves and trimmed off the edges. Now I applied violet and gold ink droplets all over the front and stamped the sentiment from Everyday Greetings. After adhering the panel to the card, I die-cut the small swirls from the Pumpkin Patch dies from gold cardstock and added them to the card.

Enjoy your weekend and thank you for visiting today!
