Love Birds & Tree Branch Die Focused Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a sweet welcome baby card using the Love Birds Stamps and Tree Branch Die. Aren’t they just the most adorable couple?!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Love Birds & Tree Branch Die Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Fluffy Cloud Borders Dies, Inside Greetings, Little Birdie)

I started this A2 card by inking a pink cloud background on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2” piece of white cardstock. I die-cut 3 pieces of white cardstock using the Fluffy Clouds Border Dies and used them as a stencil with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I wanted a soft background of cherry blossoms in the distance so I die-cut vellum several times using the Tree Branch Die and a flower from the Spring Garden Dies. I then lightly inked the vellum branches with Antique Linen Distress ink and the flowers with Saltwater Taffy Distress ink.

Before adhering the vellum pieces, I stamped a sentiment from the Little Birdie Stamps in brown ink. I lightly dabbed Tombow Mono liquid adhesive on the back of the vellum pieces so the adhesive wouldn’t show through and trimmed any excess from the edges of the cardstock.

Next, I die-cut 2 branches and flowers from white cardstock and inked them with Frayed Burlap Distress ink and Saltwater Taffy Distress ink. I also added a little shading with Copics and white gel pen details on the flowers. I stamped all images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock in a brown ink, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I adhered the branches, flowers and images to the card front using foam dimensional tape and trimmed the excess branches from the edges.

I used the following stamps and dies:
Love Birds Stamps/Dies
Little Birdie Stamps/Dies
 (bow, nest)
Clucky Chickens Stamps/Dies (egg)

To finish, I stamped a sentiment for the inside of the card from the Inside Greetings Congrats Stamps and a baby bird from the Clucky Chickens Stamps on white cardstock and colored the baby with Copics. I then die-cut around the sentiment using a label die from the Sliding Window Dies.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by today! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.

Treat Bag Topper Die Focused Treat Bags with Nicky

Hey everyone this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny blog and I'm sharing a project featuring the new Treat Bag Topper die. Please read on for all the details.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Treat Bag Topper Die Focused Treat Bags by Nicky Meeks

This Treat Bag Topper die can create you unlimited year round treat bag toppers for all occasions. I went with a birthday favours type design.

I started by using various patterned papers all by Sunny Studio to create the toppers. For each topper I used two toning designs that worked well together and in contrast to one another.

I simply die cut the toppers from a less patterned paper and die cut a more decorative panel with something more playful. I glued the decorative panels to the toppers and then die cut the word "happy", using the Happy Word die, from glitter cardstock and glued it to another die cut to make it more sturdy then adhered to the topper. I also created a party hat for each topper (the hat is included in the die set) and adorned each one with a mini pom pom on top and then adhered with dimensional foam tape to each bag topper.

I borrowed the word 'birthday' from the Birthday Cat stamp set and adhered the sentiment strip with foam tape and highlighted points on each party hat. I filled little favour bags with toning coloured candy, folded over the top of the bag and cinched it together with the topper and then using a stapler I stapled each bag closed in two positions.

You can get quite a production line going with these especially if you repeat the same design with the same cardstocks. Imagine your Valentine's favours or Halloween treats made with this topper!

Thanks for coming by the blog to read today and I'll be back soon with something new!

My Heart Tags with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today, I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this set of five colorful tags showcasing, as very often, multiple things. My plan was originally to make one tag only, the one with the burger and fries, but I had so much fun making that tag that I decided to use the other signs from Cruisin' Cuisine to make more.

Sunny Studio Stamps: My Heart & Cruisin' Cuisine Tags by Marine Simon (featuring Big Bold Greetings, Scalloped Tag Dies, Words Of Gratitude, Stitched Rectangles Dies)

I started off by stamping all my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers.

Next I worked on my greetings, and started by stamping five big greetings using Lawn Fawn premium dye inks:

• "Happy Valentine's Day" from My Heart using Lemonade ink

• "You're My Favorite" from Lovey Dovey using Freshly cut grass ink

• "Thank You", "Happy Birthday", and "Make A Wish" from Big Bold Greetings using Guava, Bubblegum, and Merman inks

And then I white heat embossed five phrases from Cruisin' Cuisine and Words Of Gratitude on dark gray slim banners: "You're the burger to my fries", "Have a sweet day" (twice), "Franks a lot for always being there" and "Soy happy we're friends".

Next I used the Scalloped Square Tag largest die to cut five panels out of different Classic Sunburst pattern papers to match my food trucks. And to make my panels rectangle and not square, I started off by die cutting the top of the panel and not the bottom. I shifted the die down about an inch, and then cut the bottom of the panel and not the top. I did the same with white cardstock to create five white tags that I glued at the back of each colorful tag using liquid glue.

To mute the front of each tag down a little bit, I cut five vellum panels using the smallest die from Stitched Rectangles, attached images and greetings on each of those vellum panels using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck them on the tags using liquid glue.

I finished each tag by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and added black & white gingham ribbon at the top of each tag. And that's it!

Making those tags was so fun, it was my very first time using Cruisin' Cuisine and I really loved coloring those cute trucks and shop signs! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Treat Bag Topper Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I wanted to show you the versatility of the Treat Bag Topper die! Yes, it can be a topper, but this set has extra shapes that make it so great. I created a card and matching envelope to highlight these options. As I mentioned in previous posts, I am always looking for ways to increase my birthday card stash! A situation that many of us may be familiar with!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Treat Bag Topper Die Focused Birthday Cat Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Happy Thoughts, Frilly Frame Dies, Make A Wish)

For this design, I created a white panel with the outer border from the Frilly Frames Stripes die. I used the rectangle from the Treat Bag Topper die and tried to create three evenly spaced windows in this panel. At this point I was still going for a see through card, so I cut a piece of acetate and placed in on the back of the white piece.

In the pictures, this acetate is almost invisible, but it is the surface that I used to glue all my components in place! I changed my mind about the design because the white panel had become flimsy, after all the die cutting. I decided to glue a beautiful ocher yellow paper from Gingham Pastels to the back of the frame, making it much sturdier!

If you are in for a party, make sure to invite the adorable Birthday Cats. I selected a few cuties and accessories and colored them in with my copics. The big birthday cake is from the Make A Wish stamps. The sentiment combines the ‘Happy’ word (Treat Bag Topper die) and  ‘Birthday’ (Happy Thoughts) which I stamped on the cake in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I glued the Happy sentiment to the middle part of the card and created little ‘cats with cake’ clusters on the top and bottom of the design. A few Gold Jewels were the finishing touch!

Finally, I die cut three party hats and banners from the Treat Bag Topper die and Gingham Pastels to decorate a white envelope for this card.

Thank you for joining me and I hope you will have a fun time with these dies!

Bighearted Bears Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here today with yet another CAS card featuring the Bighearted Bears stamps and coordinating dies. CAS cards don't have to be one layer cards, they just need to have more white space and can tell a whole story with minimal things. I went for a soft pastel look as I am ready for spring and these colors are so close to my heart. The adorable images and the sentiment make this card so special :)

Sunny Studio Stamps: Bighearted Bears Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Stitched Arch Dies)

I started by sponging kitsch flamingo, squeezed lemonade and salvaged patina distress oxide inks to a white panel. Flick some water and white paint to it.

Die-cut the arc onto a white card panel using the Stitched Arch dies. Adhere it to the inked panel using 3d foam.

Stamp the images from the Bighearted Bears stamps, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere to the card and stamp the sentiment.

To finish, I added some chunky glitter all over the inked panel. Thank you for dropping by and have a nice day!
