Happy Camper Oval Shaped Happy Place Card with Franci

Hello there and happy Wednesday! It's Franci here with you today with a pretty card featuring the Happy Camper stamp set and some other new goodies!

First, I die cut the largest of the new Fancy Frames Oval dies out of some kraft cardstock and created a coordinated backdrop from white cardstock. I stamped the little camper in Memento black ink, colored it with Copics, and die cut it using the coordinating dies. I then cut out lots of trees and colored them by sponging some different shades of green distress inks.

I masked the bottom of the white oval and sponged on more Distress ink to create the sky. I splattered some water onto the background and removed the excess with a towel to create more interest in the background. Then I masked the sky and created the "road" as well. 

I die cut a little banner out of some white cardstock using the little die included in the Fancy Frames Rectangle die set and stamped all of the sentiments with the same black ink used before. I glued down all of the elements using a combination of liquid glue and foam adhesive. Finally, I added some details with a white gel pen and a little bow made out of some gold twine.

NICU Card Drive Blog Hop & Fundraiser with card by Juliana

Hello there! Thank you for joining us today.  We're so honored to be helping raise money for families with babies in the NCIU today.  You can read about Leah's story here and how with your help we can raise money to give these families gift cards to Starbucks for some much needed fresh air and time to regroup from everything they are going through.

Juliana Michaels has created a card to give to one of those families. Take it away Juliana...

Hello there!  The card I created was inspired by the Encouragement theme and Woodland mood board. Sunny Studio recently released the Critter Campout stamps and I knew this set would be perfect for the theme.

I began by stamping and coloring a bunch of the cute woodland critters from Critter Campout Stamp Set. I then colored them with Chameleon Pens and die cut them using the coordinating Critter Campout Die Set.

To create the background, I cut a circle from black cardstock. I took the Cascading Stars Stamp Set and stamped it onto the black circle with Versamark Ink. I then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to make the stars shine!

The grass was created using the Sunny Sentiments Die Set. I simply used the grass die to cut a strip from green cardstock. I then die cut this piece using the same circle die I used to cut out the background.

Using my MISTI Stamping Tool, I curved the sentiment to match the curve on the circle and stamped it with Versamark Embossing Ink. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder to make it pop against the dark background.

Once the background was complete, I created the scene with the woodland critters gathered around the fire. For the final touch, I embossed a piece of kraft cardstock using a woodgrain embossing folder. I love how this continues the woodland theme.

Fast Food Fun Layered Sentiment Love Themed Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a card to share with you all using the Fast Food Fun stamp set. I was so inspired by Franci's card the other week, and had to take some inspiration from that card to create my own today. I'll also be pulling in some of the new patterned paper to finish off my card.

To begin my card today, I started off with watercoloring a green background onto some cardstock. I used a green from my Mijello Misson Gold Palette. Once I had a nice base, I set that off to the side to dry and worked on my images. I stamped out the burger, pizza and chips from the Fast Food Fun stamp set onto some more watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then clear heat embossed over them. So when I go to watercolour them, it stays contained. I used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers for these instead, since they were smaller and I find them easier to use. Once they were coloured, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

On my watercolour panel that was now dry, I laid out my images in a line on top of each other and left a space between each, since this is where I'm going to stamp my coordinating sentiments. I then used the 'I've Bun Thinking Of You' sentiment underneath the burger, the 'Time Fries When I'm With You' underneath the chips image and then lastly 'You've Stolen A Pizza My Heart' underneath the pizza image. Once they were stamped I clear heat embossed over them as well so I wouldn't smudge the ink. I then added foam tape behind the images and adhered them down as well. To finish off my card I adhered down my panel at an angle on a piece of polka dot paper from the Polka Dot Parade paper pad and then adhered my panel onto a white card base.

That finished up my card for today and thank you to Franci for the inspiration of layering sentiments and scenes, I love this design so much! Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll catch you all next time.

Froggy Friends Toadally Awesome Frog Card with Mendi

Hello there!  I recently created a card for a special friend who adores frogs so I thought I would pop in and share it with you today.  It was created using our Froggy Friends stamps which I paired with the two green prints from our Polka-dot Parade Paper Pack.

I've always loved the complimentary colors pink & green together (in fact it was the color of my Laura Ashley inspired bedroom in the 90's) so I kept my color palette simple, inking a soft and subtle background behind my little frogs using Spun Sugar distress ink together with my favorite Jumbo Dauber.

This card was really simple to make, but I know my friend will love it!
