Woo Hoo Girly Owl Graduation Card with Vanessa

Hey everyone! Vanessa here with a girly graduation card using the adorable Woo Hoo stamp set and coordinating dies. The owl of the set is just the cutest!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Congrats Graduation Girly Owl card by Vanessa Menhorn (using Woo Hoo stamps & Star Border die)

I started with a panel of patterned paper that I trimmed slightly smaller than a light grey/blue card base and stamped the sentiment onto the bottom right corner. Then I adhered the panel to the card. I stamped, colored and die-cut the owl, the branch, the hat and the leaves and arranged them on the card, using foam tape to adhere the owl and her hat. Finally, I die-cut the stars using the Star Border Die from various cardstock and adhered them next to the matching dots on the patterned paper.

Playing with this set was so much fun! I hope it made you smile, too! Thanks for visiting today!

Woo Hoo Graduation Owl Cap & Diploma Card with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here. Today I'm sharing a graduation card using the adorable Woo Hoo stamp set and the banner from the previously released Sunny Borders stamp set. This set is great because you can personalize your card with any schools' colors. Just stamp the cute little owl and color his accessories to match your graduate's school colors.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Woo Hoo Happy Graduation Owl Cap & Diploma Card by Lindsey Bailey.

I started my card with an A2 size rectangle. I created my own patterned paper by stamping several caps and diplomas all over the rectangle. Then I colored the images using Copic markers. I also colored the border around the outside of the card with a blue Copic marker.

I made the little owl the star of the show by creating a little scene for him on a stitched circle. I colored the outside edge of the circle and popped it up using foam tape. I stamped the "Happy Graduation" sentiment in the banner, colored the edge with blue, and popped it up with foam tape as well. I think the blue on the outside of all the shapes really pops. It is a simple and easy way to personalize your card. I finished the card by adding some Wink of Stella to all the areas where you see blue.

This set is so adorable! I love owls, and I can definitely see myself using this set for more than just graduation cards. It is nice that the graduation cap is not attached to the owl, so you can choose to use it or not. Thanks for reading, and I hope you've been inspired to create your own personalized graduation card for your own graduate!

A Woo Hoo Clean and Simple Owl Card by Anni

Hey stampers, Anni here!  Today I have a really CAS card for you featuring the cute set Woo Hoo! Isn't this owl awesome?

Sunny Studio Stamps: A CAS Woo Hoo Owl card by Anni

With such a cute stamp it is easy to make a simple card!  I started with stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the owl and the branch.  What I love about this stamp set is that you can add as many leaves to the branch as you like. Or leave it without for a winter card.

Then I die-cut a rectangle and added some ink blending to emphasize the focal point and to add more color to the card.  I love a lot of white space but not too much as it can be boring!

For the card base I chose some embossed cardstock with some wood grain texture to add a little bit of interest.  I finished the card with a little bit of glossy accents for the glasses.

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.

Woo Hoo Owl Happy Graduation Card with Eloise

Hello everyone, Eloise here today and I’m going to be featuring the new Woo Hoo stamp set and this one is a fun one, I love the owl and the different types of graduation sentiments to go along with the images. I decided to create a simple scene with a tone on tone background for todays card. I also used a die set that was previously released called Fishtail Banners to create the fun banner panel. I love this die, it’s so well created.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Woo Hoo Happy Graduation Owl Card by Eloise Blue.

So to start off todays card I first stamped out the images from the Woo Hoo stamp set that I’m going to use in some black ink and then clear embossed over it. I always so this so the watercolour stays contained within the image a little easier. I then coloured in all my images with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers, they’re so super easy to use with these images. Once they were coloured and dried, I cut them all out. There are coordinating dies for this set also, which is super awesome!

I then started to work on my background. For this I wanted a super simple tone on tone background, just to give it some interest. I took a piece of kraft cardstock to make my cardbase and then I used both sizes of the diploma images from the stamp set to make the background. I just used Versamark ink to stamp out the images as it gives a great watermark effect and I knew it would be perfect for the tone on tone technique. Because it is a little sticky, I did quickly zap it with a heat tool to make sure it wouldn’t smear or anything like that.

Now that my card base is complete, I moved on to my panel. I wanted to create a smaller panel today since I wanted to background to show through. So I decided to take one of the Fishtail Banners dies from the set and create a fun banner on the bottom of some watercolour cardstock. Once it was die cut I used some Distress Inks to blend in the background and grass. I then used some water on a paint brush to create that water splotch look. Once it was dry I stamped out my sentiment from the same WooHoo stamp set – I decided to use the Happy Graduation one and I used some more black ink to stamp it. I then adhered my banner panel onto my card using some foam adhesive for dimension along with my images. To give it a last finishing touch, I used some hemp cord to tie a bow around the top of my card base.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed and make sure you stop by the rest of the week to see some more awesome projects by the other ladies!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Fun Summer Cards with Anita Madden

Hello everyone!  It's Anita here today and I’m so excited to be joining Sunny Studio Stamps once again as a guest designer!

Sunny Studio Stamps Summer Island Getaway Monkey Card by Anita Madden.

I used the adorable Island Getaway stamps for this card.  That monkey in the bikini is just too cute, right?  I colored the images with copics and then cut everything out with the coordinating Island Getaway dies.  For my background, I cut a piece of watercolor paper with a stitched rectangle die and sponged on some distress inks.  I flicked some water drops on the paper, let it sit for several seconds, and then dried the water with a clean towel.  I adhered all the images with foam dots for dimension and then added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Sunny Studio Stamps Island Getaway Summer Flip Flops Card by Anita Madden.

Once again I used the Island Getaway stamp set but went with a very clean and easy card!  I stamped the flip flops onto some Neenah cardstock, colored then with copics, and then cut them out with the coordinating Island Getaway dies.  I also used the tiny flowers from the stamp set to decorate the flip flops.  I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the flowers so they sparkle.  I used some bright pattern paper in summer colors and added a few matching enamel dots.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Fresh & Fruity Card by Anita Madden.

I used the sweet Fresh & Fruity stamp set for my next card.  I love all the different fruits in this set and the sentiments are perfect for so many different occasions.  I colored all the fruit with copics and then cut all of them using the coordinating Fresh & Fruity dies.  For my background, I cut a piece of watercolor paper with a stitched rectangle die and applied distress ink with lots of water for a splash of bright color.  I adhered the fruit with foam dots and then added a few sparkly sequins.

For my last card I used the Fresh & Fruity stamps to make another quick and easy card.  I colored all the fruit with my Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I mounted stitched squares onto some green cardstock and then adhered the fruit with foam dots for dimension.  The cute sentiment is one of many that are included in this set.  To finish my card, I simply wrapped some baker’s twine around the top and tied a bow.

A Summer Picnic Card with Lexa

Hello!  Lexa here with a picnic scene card with all the little details starring Summer Picnic stamp set and coordinating dies. I love everything about this set, so many elements to compliment your cards or projects. Here's my card for today...

Sunny Studio Stamps: A Summer Picnic Watercolor Card by Lexa Levana.

I started by cutting two pieces of white cardstock in 4.25" x 5.5".  For the first piece, I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create my clear blue sky.  For the second one, I die-cut it with a cloud border die and applied Crushed Olive Distress Ink for the grass using the negative portion of a grassy border die-cut as a mask.

I colored all the images with watercolor and Distress Markers before I arranged them all together to create the scene. The picnic mat is paper pieced in a red plaid patterned paper. If you look closer, you will see that I did some detail for the picnic basket. I cut the line exactly above the cloth so I can tuck in some of the fruits as if they were inside the basket. ;)

Last step is stamp some of the ants and the sentiment to match the scene. It was so much fun to create this card. I hope you all have a great day!
