Guest Designer Spotlight: Spring Cards with Kay Miller

I'm so excited to welcome another guest to the blog today, the amazing Kay Miller!!!  Many of can probably recognize her adorable style before even seeing her name.   I love every creation she makes and am honored that she's here sharing her talents with us.  Take it away Kay...

Hello! I am so excited to share a couple of cards made with the adorable new spring stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps!

On my first card I used the cute new  A Good Egg stamp set. I colored everything with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. They have matching dies available, but I didn't have them for this card. For my background I blended some Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink onto watercolor paper and sprinkled with water. When that was dry, I cut it out with a stitched rectangle die. I then stamped the sentiment in black ink, added the little paper patterned border to the bottom, and adhered this stitched panel to an A2 top folded white card base.

My next card features a super cute stamp set called Backyard Bugs. It has some really cute sentiments in it as well as adorable little critters! I watercolored the background with some Peerless watercolors to create a sky for my little scene. The grass is cut out of some patterned paper and glued down to the watercolored panel. All of the stamps were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out, and adhered with foam tape. I stamped the sentient on a banner and adhered it and the whole panel to a white card base.

Sending My Love Valentine Note Cards with Elise

Hi everyone! It's Elise again to share a cute set of note cards that feature Sunny Studio Stamps "Sending My Love" stamp set and die

Sunny Studio: Valentine's Day Sending My Love Note Cards by Elise Constable (using Sending My Love stamps & Sunny Sentiments dies)

I wanted to make something that would be easy to slip into a lunch box or tie onto a gift for Valentine's day, and this set is the perfect set to use!  I stamped and colored the images with Prismacolor pencils, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added some blue ink to the background for the sky, and I also used the "Sunny Sentiment" dies to cut some grass from green card stock. I glued the images to the scene, and stamped the sentiment in black ink.

Here is a close-up of one of the cards. The hands and head are attached with foam tape so that they stand out against the scene.

Sending a Little Love Mailbox Card by Marion

Hello! I hope you are having a great week. It's Marion here with a card using the Sending My Love stamp set and its coordinating dies. I've also used the 'Love' word die from the Furever Friends die set.

I kept things pretty simple with this card. I sponged on some clouds and grass with some masks and distress inks. The images were coloured with Copic markers and I popped up the letterbox on some mounting foam for some dimension. The 'Love' die-cut was coloured with Copics as well (it a gradient of colour).

Hello there!   It's Heidi here today with a card perfect for Valentine's Day or even just an ordinary day to tell someone you love them.  For my card today I used the clouds and sun from Sunny Sentiments, the Mushroom and ladybug from Backyard Bugs and the Kitty, mailbox and letters from Sending My Love to create a fun little scene.

I sponged on tumbled glass and mowed lawn distress ink for my background, masking off between the grass and the sky with post-it notes.  I then colored my images with Copic markers and diecut them using the coordinating dies, popping up some of the elements with pop dots for extra dimension.

Sending My Love Happy Mail Kitty Cat Card with Melissa

Hello everyone, Melissa here! Today I have a card to share using the newly released stamp set Sending My Love. This set is super versatile, by swapping out the hands of the little critters, it could suit many different occasions!   I decided to make a pretty simple card today.

To make the card I first cut out a rectangle out of white card and also a little banner. I stamped the banner with the sentiment and added some stitching to the edge with a Copic multi liner.  I then stamped the cat, the love heart and the little envelopes, colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

To assemble the card I first stuck the white rectangle onto a piece of patterned paper. I then added the banner and lined up the cat, heart and envelopes across the top.
