Snowmen in Sweaters Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so excited to be back on the blog with this extra colorful winter card showcasing the cutest Snowmen In Sweaters ever! Aren't they adorable?! I love them so much!

I started off by cutting an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I colored using oxide inks. For the sky at the very top, I blended some saltwater taffy with candied apple, and for the rest of the panel, I blended some salvaged patina with peacock feathers.

As always, I stamped my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Snowmen In Sweaters - snowmen, trees • Scenic Route - houses • Winter Scenes - trees.

I wanted my greeting to be the center piece, and to match the frosty winter theme, I started off by cutting a large Scalloped Circle Mat 1 out of holographic cardstock. I cut a smaller circle out of orange cardstock, and cut a Stitched Circle Large out of a Surprise Party yellow pattern paper. I layered those three circles on top of each other, white heat embossed "Warm winter wishes" from Snowmen In Sweaters on red cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and stuck it to my circle panel using 1mm foam squares.

Next I attached everything on my slimline panel, starting with the houses, next the circle panel, and then the snowmen and trees using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and added some white blizzard nuvo drops to the roofs and to the Snowmen In Sweaters to give the illusion of sparkling snow.

Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina with an elegant Christmas card featuring the beautiful Distinctive Door Holiday Add-ons combined with the Distinctive Door dies! Together they create the most festive scenes!

To a white card base, I added an additional white panel embossed using the Buffalo Plaid Straight die and cut with the outer die from the Frilly Frames Stripes set.

Next, I started to cut all the elements I needed for my scene (Distinctive Door Holiday Add-ons, Distinctive Door dies). This time I opted for Copic markers to color these pieces. I love how the shades of ‘white’ create an elegant look, with the door and greenery as pops of color. For the snow, bow, lanterns, and sentiment base I used a glitter paper which gives instant holiday vibes. 

The sentiment comes from the Victorian Christmas set, and I stamped it in a matching pink ink from my stash.

Then it was time to assemble the card, I found it easiest to work from the bottom to the top, starting by gluing the stairs in place and building the door scene from there. I love how the sentiment fits perfectly between the two pillars.

There are many great colors in the Pastel Jewels pack, they were perfect to decorate the garland and Christmas trees. As always on my holiday cards, I used a white gel pen to add a ton of snow to the die cuts.

Roly Poly Penguins Card with Alma

Hello everyone, Alma here today. I'd like to show you a card featuring the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps.

I chose my favorite penguin from the set, the one with the adorable earmuffs and cozy scarf. I colored the image with Copics and cut it out using the Roly Poly Penguins Dies. 

Then, I colored and cut out the trees from the Seasonal Trees Stamps Set. Since I love romantic winter scenes, I really wanted to use the mirror stamping technique, which is super easy with a stamping tool!

I colored the mirrored image and layered it with a piece of glossy vellum to give it a frosty look. Next, I used the Slimline Nature Border Dies and the Stitched Oval Dies to create a pond and assembled everything. I added white highlights with a gel pen. I stamped the sentiment "winter" from the Cozy Christmas Stamps and the "spirits" from the Baking Spirits Bright Stamps.

Finally, I used the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace dies to create a frame and cut out a rectangle. The white frame, along with the pink and blue cardstock, completed the card!

Buffalo Plaid Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hi friends! Leanne here and I have a unique holiday card to share today. It's a mitten shaped card and it's so easy to make with the Woolen Mitten dies plus Buffalo Plaid Straight die. 

To create the mitten shaped card base, I die cut two of the mitten - one for the front and one for the back. I then used the Buffalo Plaid Straight die to add the fun check texture to one of the mittens (this will be the card front). To add color to my plaid mitten, I used the Straight Stripes Stencil with Catherine Pooler It's a Girl ink. 

I then decorated the mitten front using all the dies included in the Woolen Mitten set (poinsettia, leaves, cuff, buttons). After I had the mitten front decorated, I splattered with thinned white paint.

On the back mitten piece, I scored a line towards the top of the mitten. I adhered the back to the front by applying the glue only above the score line. This creates a hinged card as you can see in the photo below. I recommend stamping the inside sentiment before adhering the back to the front. It's much easier before it's attached to the front especially with the dimensional decoration on the front. 

For the outside and inside sentiments, I used the Inside Greetings Seasons stamps.

Brilliant Banner 3 Die Focused Gift Cards with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today. I can't believe that it is less than two months until Christmas. I can see it already. In the blink of an eye, the holidays will be here and I will be scrambling for some last-minute gift ideas. And for some reason or other, gift cards are always amongst some of those last-minute gift ideas. 

Today I'm going to share a gift card holder tag idea for all of those gift cards for the holidays. I am using the Gift Card Envelope Dies that I have decorated with the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies, a Roly Poly Penguin and some elements from the Woolen Mitten Dies.

I stamped the penguin from the Roly Poly Penguin stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Dies to it out. I colored him with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

I used the Gift Card Envelope Dies to die cut 3 envelopes out of colored cardstock. I also die cut some snowflakes, leaves, berries and flowers using the Woolen Mitten Dies. I used the Build-A-Tag #2 Dies to die cut 3 hole reinforcements, I assembled the envelopes and used a hole puncher to create holes for the twine. 

I die cut the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies 3 times out of a red cardstock. I stamped sentiments from the Inside Greetings - Holiday and Feeling Frosty stamp sets with Versamark Watermark ink onto the banners before white heat embossing. I assembled the banners and attached them to the tags with liquid adhesive before adding some highlights with a white gel pen.

I decorated the envelopes and added some highlights with a white gel pen and some yellow Nuvo Drops for the center of the flowers. Finally, I added some twine to each of the tags. And now they are ready to be added to a present, gift bag, wine bottle or hung up on the Christmas tree.
