Hawaiian Hibiscus Cards with Mona and Franci

Hi crafty friends! It's Mona here, today I am showing you a bright floral card featuring the Hawaiian Hibiscus stamp set. I love this stamp set so much and I wanted to create a vintage card with it.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hawaiian Hibiscus Sunshine Word Die Frilly Frames Dies Hello Cards by Mona Toth and Franci Vignoli

This time I started the card making with stamp layering. For the stamping I used Hybrid Inks from Scrapbook.com and green colored mini ink cubes from Altenew. For the leaves I used the Bamboo,  Parrot and Shadow Creek colors. For the Flowers I used many colors and I mixed and matched them from the lightest to darkest. (For the flowers I used the following colors: Yellow 1, 3; Violet 2, 3, 4; Rise 2,3,4; Pink 2; Blue 1,4.) When the layering was done I Die-cut the images with the coordinating dies.

The next step was the background. I made a die-cut with the Frilly Frames Stripes Dies from a light teal cardstock and adhered to the card base. When it was done, I die-cut the Sunshine sentiment with the Sunshine Word Die and I adhered it to the card base.

In the end I stamped the "Aloha" sentiment to my card and embellished the card with tiny Hearts confetti and it was done. Thank you very much for reading through my post, I hope that you have enjoyed it and I have inspired you! If you like my creations let's be friends on Instagram. :)

Hi there! Franci here with you today, showcasing the Hawaiian Hibiscus set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hawaiian Hibiscus Sunshine Word Die Frilly Frames Dies Hello Cards by Mona Toth and Franci Vignoli

This set is amazing!! I have a love/hate relationship with layering sets cause they can be tricky to align and solid images are not super easy for me to stamp, but this set is no trouble and all the joy!! These flowers are the easiest images to align ever and every layer is amazing, the final effect is so beautiful! So if you are a little bit scared, I say ... get this set and you'll love it!

Back to my project. First of all I created my white card base as usual, then I created my background by Sponging Distress inks on to a stripes stencil. You can easily masked the front of the card with some thin strips of masking paper and ink on top to achieve the same pattern :)

I let it dry and then added some little spatters of dark blue and rose gold watercolors with a fine tip brush. I stamped my Hibiscus flowers and the leaves using a combo of Lawn Fawn inks and Memento Drops inks. I die cut all the images with their coordinated dies and glued them down with foam adhesive.

Finally I added some sparkle clear sequins and stamped my sentiment. I'm so happy with this clean and simple card, it makes me dream about beautiful beaches and the lovely time of summer vacations!

Hope you like it too and thank you so much for stopping by today!

Slice Of Summer Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hey everyone! Vanessa here with a watercolor card using Slice of Summer. I love this juicy set - perfect for any summer card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Slice Of Summer Hawaiian Hibiscus Frilly Frames Dies Fancy Frames Dies Summer Themed Cards by Vanessa Menhorn and Anja Bytyqi

Onto a panel of watercolor paper, I stamped the lemons and the leaves from Hawaiian Hibiscus with Distress Inks, always using a lighter and a darker shade of color. Then I used a watertank brush to blend the colors. After it was dried, I added splatters of ink all over the panel.

Now I covered the front of the card with striped paper from the Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper and adhered the watercolor panel.

I stamped a few more leaves, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered them. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto blue-grey cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it. Finally, I added the clear droplets to the card.

Don't you love those fresh lemon images? I am in the mood for lemonade now :) Thank you for visiting!

---------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone, Anja here with a fruity inspiration card. I can't wait for summer and a yummy piece of fresh watermelon. Until then I enjoy creating with the Slice of Summer set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Slice Of Summer Hawaiian Hibiscus Frilly Frames Dies Fancy Frames Dies Summer Themed Cards by Vanessa Menhorn and Anja Bytyqi

First, I made a simple watercolor background using Nuvo Atlantis Burst Shimmer Powder. I combined both dies from the Frilly Frames Stripes Dies set and cut it from white cardstock. I love this diagonal striped design and that you still can see enough of the background underneath.

Next, I stamped the lemon, watermelon and lime using dye inks from several companies (you can find the used ink colors below). To make the watermelon seeds look glossy, I embossed them with clear embossing powder. I used the coordinating dies to cut the fruits out.

Dye Inks used- Lemon: Hero Arts Lemon Yellow, MFT Daffodil; Watermelon: Altenew Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat; MFT Limelight, Green Room and SU Shaded Spruce Lime: MFT Limelight, Altenew Parrot

I also created a tablecloth using purple gingham paper from the Gingham Pastels 6x6 Paper pack and a white Fancy Frames Square die-cut. For a little dimension, I popped up the fruits with foam tape. Finally, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingos set and adhered some sparkling clear sequins in different sizes.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a sunny day!

Wrap Around Box Dies Projects with Rachel and Lexa

Hello everyone! It's Rachel here today and I have a few fun Wrap Around Boxes to share with you! I just love these fun treat boxes and how easy it is to customize them for whatever occasion you desire. They're actually quite large when put together and make the perfect size for party favors and/or decorations.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wrap Around Box Hawaiian Hibiscus School Time Treat Boxes by Rachel Alvarado and Lexa Levana

Since it's the end of the school year here in the US, I went with school-themed boxes that would be perfect to give to either the teacher as a cute handmade thank you gift or to children who are finishing another year in school.

I used some white card stock with the Wrap Around Box Dies for the bases and decorated the panels with some gorgeous patterned paper from the new Surprise Party Paper Pack

I then used images from the School Time Stamps Set to decorate the sides. I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. I used the coordinating School Time Dies to cut them out.

Aren't these boxes gorgeous? I love the petal closure on the top of the box. It really makes these treat boxes look so stylish and helps them be very easy to open and close.

If you haven't given these boxes a try yet and are looking to make some fun homemade gifts, party favors and/or decorations, then I highly recommend these! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

--------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a project using Wrap Around Gift Box Dies along with other products of Sunny Studio Stamps.

I use deep purple cardstock for the base of my box then add some decoration around it. On two sides, I add chevron pattern using Frilly Frames Chevron Dies with purple patterned paper from Gingham Pastel Paper. On two other sides, I use pink gingham patterned paper from the same pad. I blend Worn Lipstick Distress Inks on them.

Then I stamp some pretty pink hibiscus from Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamps. After finished with the stamping I use the coordinating dies to cut them all. Then arrange them to my box. Look how pretty they are! I just adore the layering stamps from Sunny Studio, I personally think they are all so gorgeous. There's also a little tag with a little saying on it and I won't miss the hibiscus for it.

Hawaiian Hibiscus Cards with Leanne and Eloise

Hi friends, Leanne here. Or maybe "Aloha" is more appropriate since the card I’m sharing today is covered in beautiful floral images from the Hawaiian Hibiscus stamp set. I was so anxious to ink up this set and see the magic happen as I stamp each layer. It did not disappoint!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hawaiian Hibiscus Everyday Greetings Frilly Frames Dies Floral Themed Cards by Leanne West and Eloise Blue

I started this card by creating a pink ombre background. I blended Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink onto the entire card front. I then splattered it with clean water and thinned white paint. I added the Filly Frames Lattice over top.

Ink colors used to stamp the hibiscus & leaves:  (pinks - Altenew Razzleberry, Rebellite, Pinkalicious, & Pink Diamond)  (yellows - Catherine Pooler Tiara & Tiki Torch) (greens - Catherine Pooler Mint To Be, Garden Party, & Lime Rickey)

I stamped out several hibiscus and leaves and die cut with the coordinating Hawaiian Hibiscus dies. I adhered them with dimensional foam squares over the lattice while leaving space to add a greeting. I stamped and heat embossed in silver the best wishes greeting from Everyday Greetings. I trimmed into strip with hand cut fish tail ends. To finish off this card, I added just a few clear sequins.

--------------------------------------------------

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I’m sharing a card using the Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamp Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hawaiian Hibiscus Everyday Greetings Frilly Frames Dies Floral Themed Cards by Leanne West and Eloise Blue

To start off I stamped out six of the hibiscus flowers and six leaves using some Altenew Inks. I then cut them out.

(Altenew Inks Used: Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet / Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Firebrick / Bamboo, Olive, Moss)

Next, I took a piece of brown cardstock and cut it down to a card base. I used my scoring tool to score ½” horizontal lines along the background. I then took a piece of white cardstock, cut it down to around 3 ¾” wide by 5 ¼” tall and cut a rectangle die from the centre. I added adhesive onto the back and adhered it into place. I then took a piece of yellow stripe cardstock from the Summer Splash Paper Pack and cut down a small rectangle and then in half into two triangles. I added foam tape onto the back of one of the rectangles and adhered it down into place as well.

Lastly, I adhered my hibiscus flowers into place with each of the leaves. I then white heat embossed the ‘Aloha’ sentiment onto a black strip of cardstock. I added more foam tape onto the back and adhered it into place.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll see you next week.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Amy Kolling

Hello! Amy Kolling here and am very excited to be a guest on the Sunny Studios blog today. I have two cards to share that really focus on the spring season … my favorite!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hawaiian Hibiscus Frilly Frames Sunny Sentiments Hello Word Die Friendship Cards by Amy Kolling

Hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers … they are so gorgeous. The Hawaiian Hibiscus stamps are so incredible detailed with all the layers! One little detail these stamps have is that they are numbered so you know exactly which layer is next to stamp!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Hawaiian Hibiscus Frilly Frames Sunny Sentiments Hello Word Die Friendship Cards by Amy Kolling

I stamped my hibiscus in shades of orange, yellow, and coraly reds. Using the coordinating dies, they were each die cut along with the leaves. I wanted the hibiscus to be the focus on my card so I kept the rest bright white by layering them on a white Frilly Frames Striped Dies. A simple die cut Hello in bold black cardstock was adhered along with a few white gems.

Rainbows seem to be everywhere and they certainly bring happiness and sunshine, right? I love the sentiments and elements from Sunny Sentiments. I created my own rainbow using ¼’ strips of colored cardstock. Each strip was added to a scrap piece of white cardstock to adhere easily. My rainbow measures 1 ½’ wide. I added the rainbow to the center and went to work on the other elements.

The stitched cloud stamps are adorable along with the sun that was stamped with a smiley face. The cloud was the perfect place to add part of my sentiment in black ink. For the rest of my sentiment, it was stamped at the bottom of a strip of green cardstock that was die cut with the grass border die from Sunny Sentiments Dies. A few bees were added with foam adhesive along with my clouds and cute sun which was embellished with some crystal Stickles.

Thanks for joining me here today!!
